Epilogue

Scarlett

One year later…

MooreToExplore- Hello lovelies. It’s been a wild ride. As you well know. And yes, I am aware we have been quiet for a while. I’m aware. But don’t worry. I am here to update you on everything.

As most of you have probably heard, our blowout at the airport wasn’t the end.

Although you could have fooled me! Who could have known that so much could happen in just a few weeks?

A new travel job, a luxury resort line wanting ME to review them!

My boss being a total grump (though a handsome one, I’ll give him that.

#silverfox am I right?) Finding out that once out of character night of romance led to a lifetime of love and pregnancy.

Then we traveled the world, had a thousand fun adventures, and hit some speed bumps along the way. Talk about a wild ride?

But I’d be lying if I said it was all romance.

Yes, I found the love of my life. But I also learned about myself.

I learned that it’s okay to have roots. My sister taught me that.

I learned that it’s okay to ask for help.

Another lesson from her. I learned that it’s okay to let go, but not of everything.

Not of your heart or yourself. I learned that I am afraid of something.

I’m afraid of losing the people I love. And thanks to my stubbornness, I almost did just that.

I have always had a wild heart, a passion for travel, and a love for adventure.

But in the past year, I’ve made a new discovery.

The world is more beautiful when you can see it with other people.

Dessert is sweeter when shared. Sunsets are brighter, nights are warmer, hard days are easier, and good days are better when you have someone by your side.

And it really ices the cake if that person loves all the same things you do.

So cheers to one year. One year since I thought I had lost everything. One year since the beginning of my story. My true story. A story that’s only begun. And if you keep following us, we’ll take you with us. And hopefully, it will inspire you to follow a story of your own.

“You are something else,” Morgan says as he reads the post.

“Thank you.” I smile as I slip Tami into the front pack and check my list again.

“I’m serious,” he says as he scoops up Geoffry and does the same. And I have to smile. Who knew that Morgan would be a front-pack man? Honestly, I love it. Dad looks good on him. “I think it’s some of your best work.”

“So do I,” I say as I think back on the post. A post that already has over a million views, and I just posted it a couple of days ago.

“Did you mean all of it?” he asks, and I stop checking items off the travel list to look up at him.

We took a month off from travel and posting and all things work to hang out in Miami with Conrad and his girlfriend, and Claire and her family for a little R&R.

And also, so we could get married. Little things, you know?

And now we are getting ready to fly to Oahu to the newest Bale Resort.

Maui was so popular we decided to add another.

“What do you mean?” I ask.

“I mean, do you love our life? Do you think we are living it right?” he asks, and I look at our two babies and the wall of photos in our penthouse displaying all our adventures.

“Of course I love our life,” I say. “Why wouldn’t I?”

“I don’t know,” he says. “I guess I just wonder if you’ll ever grow tired of it.”

“Let me think about it,” I say. “Will I grow tired of traveling the world and seeing new places? No.”

“Even though some of those places you’ve been to more than once?” he asks.

“The experience will never be the same twice,” I tell him.

“Will you grow tired of being a mom on the go?” he asks.

“Have I ever sat still? Even when I’m exhausted?” I ask, and he chuckles.

“No, I suppose not,” he answers. “But what about me? Will you grow tired of me?”

“Hmm,” I hum while tapping my lips with my pointer finger.

“Will I grow tired of you? The man who took my breath away the day I met him. The man who showed me that I am beautiful, but also made me believe it. The man who made me believe in love again. The man who I fell in love with all over again when he first held our children in his arms? No, no, I don’t think I will. ”

Morgan smiles at me and pulls out a notebook. A new one. One with both our names on it.

“Alright, then I guess it’s time to look over the bucket list,” he says.

“Ah, yes.”

“We’ve gone snorkeling together. Revisited the waterfall in Cabo so you could force me to jump from it too.

Never doing that again,” he says, and we both chuckle.

“We’ve kept our marriage spicy even when the twins tried to sabotage it.

We’ve gone on a trip without the twins when they tried their hardest to sabotage it. We’ve planted two new resorts.”

“Sounds like we are doing pretty well,” I say.

“It does,” he says.

“Do you think we will ever run out of adventures?” I ask, and he snorts.

“Are you kidding? With my ambition to continue my parents’ legacy and your wanderlust, it’s never going to end.”

“Are you okay with that?” I ask.

“I am more than okay with it,” he says, and we kiss again before getting back to our packing and our checklists and our daily chaos.
