CHAPTER FOURTEEN IESHA
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
IESHA
The minute Seven walked through the door, my heart was light.
I was so worried about him. He’d just texted me, saying that he loved me, then I received a text a minute after, saying he’d been arrested.
What really had me nervous was that they held him overnight and wouldn’t tell us why.
Everyone was upset. I’d driven to Nome to see what the family was saying. I needed to know what was going on.
He leaned over and kissed my lips, then said, “If we had time after my shower I would show you how much I missed you. My dad and Mrs. Sidney are outside waiting.”
I smiled at him. “The Seven I know wouldn’t give a fuck,” I said to mess with him.
His eyebrows lifted slightly. “Girl, you tryna get me caught up in a life-threatening twister, huh? He gon’ fuck you up too!”
I giggled and followed him to the bedroom. “I know. I just wanted to see what you would say. I mean, I’m not afraid of the Storm if you aren’t.”
I watched him as he stripped naked and went to the shower, not saying a word.
Still, like a little puppy, I followed him to the bathroom to find him in the shower washing himself at the speed of light.
I opened the door so see him washing soap off his dick.
“If you want this, grab a condom from the nightstand and hurry up, girl. I ain’t finna turn down that hot and ready. ”
I quickly undressed and went to my room to get a condom.
When I got back to him, he was out of the shower, drying off his dick so he would be able to get the condom on without hassle.
He brought it straight to his mouth and tore it open while I turned my back to him and bent over.
I didn’t know how I turned him down repeatedly for sex for over a year.
Deep down, I knew he would have me losing my mind in these streets.
We didn’t have time for foreplay, so as soon as he strapped up, he pushed inside of me.
“Oh fuck!” he yelled.
“Seven!”
I started bouncing my ass on him as he gripped my hips, then smacked my ass.
“Oh fuck! You tryna become my lil freak, huh?”
When I felt his finger in my ass, I flinched and clenched.
“Naw. Don’t stop now. Relax and keep showing me your skills, baby. Let me see that ass bounce on this dick. You finna cum hard as fuck in a minute.”
I tried doing as he said, but it seemed I could only concentrate on the fact that his finger was in my ass.
It wasn’t even the first time, but I still wasn’t used to it.
He removed it and gripped my hips again, fucking me fast and hard.
“You better be glad we ain’t got time. Wait until tonight though. Fuck!”
“Oh my God, Seven! Shit!”
My legs started trembling, and I came just as he let go too. Right after, there was a banging on the door. I stood straight up and bit my bottom lip as Seven smirked.
“Don’t get scared now. Go open the door.”
I quickly put on my clothes, after cleaning my snatch, and made sure my hair was still fixed, then opened the door to find him standing there with a frown on his face.
I stepped aside for him to come in, but he said, “I’m not going in there.
Shit probably smell like sex. Y’all quit fucking around and come on.
If I go in there, I’m snatching both y’all nasty, inconsiderate asses out of there. Let’s fucking go.”
He walked off, and I bit my bottom lip to try to contain my smile. I’d seen Mr. Storm being close to unhinged before. I truly wasn’t afraid of him, not even intimidated. Before I could close the door, Seven was behind me, fully clothed.
“I see you caught those cat five winds girl. That wig just about knocked off your head.”
I frowned and went to the mirror to see my wig was fine. He laughed as I shot him the finger. I quickly grabbed my purse, phone, and keys and followed him out of the door.
“Your daddy said he wasn’t coming in my apartment because it probably smelled like sex in there.”
I laughed. I swore, the audacity that man had needed to be studied. As I prepared to go to my car, Seven grabbed my hand, pulling me with him toward Mrs. Sidney’s car. When we got to it, she smiled and spoke.
“Sorry, Mrs. Sidney. Iesha held me up.”
My mouth dropped open as I stared at Seven, eyes wide. “Really, Seven?”
He chuckled. “Well, say you didn’t.”
My mouth snapped shut as Mrs. Sidney chuckled and slowly shook her head. “I swear, you are just like your father,” she said.
He bit his bottom lip as he stared at me, like he wanted a piece of me right here in this woman’s car. “Since you wanted me to ride with you, how are we getting back?”
“My truck is still at the hospital. Those muthafuckas came up there and got me yesterday. That’s how I know they were on some shady shit. How they knew I was there?”
“That’s what I’m gon’ get to the bottom of,” Mrs. Sidney said. “I’m sick of those muthafuckas. I can’t wait to enlighten y’all tonight. Shy will be back at three. How are you feeling now, Seven? I mean, you didn’t get dizzy during your extracurricular activities, so you’re probably fine.”
My face heated up as he said, “Didn’t lose balance once. I was laser focused on the task at hand.”
I saw her roll her eyes in her rearview mirror. “Well, we’ll find out what’s in your system no later than tomorrow morning. I told her I needed the results like yesterday.”
I frowned slightly. “You were drugged?”
“I think so. I have a feeling they may have interrogated me after they drugged me.”
“Yeah, and if they did that shit, I’m gon’ bury their asses!”
Mrs. Sidney was pissed. I had never heard her speak that way.
I’d only been around her a couple of times, but she was always professional sounding.
I supposed being around Seven and his daddy all day could zap the professionalism out of anybody.
Seven slid his hand to mine, grabbed it and lifted it to his lips.
“Thank you for being here for me, baby. I done fucked around and got used to sleeping with you. I don’t know if I’ll be able to sleep on ten-oh-nine ever again.”
I stared into his eyes. I knew he wasn’t just talking.
He was making a proposal. Looking away, like the passing scenery was so interesting, I swallowed hard.
If he didn’t elaborate, I wouldn’t say a word, but I knew the man I was with.
He was going to clarify what he meant. When his fingertips touched my chin, I knew he was about to do just that.
“If I start building my house, I want you to move into it with me when it’s done.
Hendersons don’t fuck around, Iesha. If I tell my cousin that I’m ready to break ground, she gon’ be on that shit tomorrow.
They built Maui’s house in like two months .
. . turnkey. Royal is almost done building his house now.
I get my Henderson money when I turn twenty-five, but I have enough money to start that shit now. I need you with me, baby.”
I lowered my head. “Seven, I don’t know.”
“Look at me.” When I lifted my head, he continued. “I’m gon’ build the house anyway. You have time to think, but I would love to have you be in on the planning, saying what you want in the house. You with me?”
I stared into his eyes, but I remained quiet. Closing my eyes, I searched my soul. It wasn’t like I didn’t know him. We were friends first, although he was considering us more. I knew Seven almost as well as I knew myself.
“Okay,” I said softly. “I’m with you.”
His lips landed on mine as his palms rested on my cheeks. When he pulled away, he said, “Damn. Thanks for trusting me, baby. I promise, you won’t regret it.”
I nodded as Mrs. Sidney turned in the parking lot of the hospital. Once she parked, Seven immediately got out and walked around the car to help me out. I could feel his energy. He was excited, but it seemed he was somewhat anxious too.
“You okay?” I asked as we headed to the hospital entrance.
“Yeah. I just don’t know what to expect. I’m hoping he’s still doing well. He’s finally awake, and I don’t know how he’s feeling about what he’s going through.”
Mr. Storm caught up with us and side-eyed us. I decided to mess with him.
“Hi, Mister Mayor. You didn’t give me a chance to speak earlier.”
He twisted his lips to the side. “You ain’t gotta butter my biscuit to get off the dirty side of the storm. You was finna catch all that rain and wind.”
I laughed. “I’m sorry. It was my fault.”
“Uh-huh. Apparently, Seven don’t know how to say no.”
“Look at me, Mayor. These high cheek bones and slanted eyes know how to get what they want.”
“Baby, you know it’s more than that.”
“Man, y’all get the fuck away from me. Seven, keep it up, and you gon’ be moving all yo’ shit out. You ain’t gon’ have a pot to piss in or window to throw it out of.”
“I’m a Henderson. I ain’t neva homeless. Plus, Iesha got a place.”
“Since yo’ ass so resourceful, make a fucking move. When Remy go to college, me and yo’ mama can walk around butt ass naked.”
I chuckled as Seven turned his lip up. When we got to ICU, I recognized a few people in the waiting area. Ace, Royal, Ryder J, Kingsley, Kane, and Crew came to us and greeted us. If I didn’t know any other Hendersons, I knew them. Seven was with at least one of them more often than not.
“Uncle Jasper and Uncle Kenny are in there right now, but if you go to the nurse, she’ll ask then to come out so you can go in,” Ace told him.
He nodded and held my hand tighter as he pulled me with him. When we got inside to the nurse’s station, he didn’t have to tell her who he needed to see. She smiled at him and walked off, I assumed to tell his uncles to come out of the room so we could go in.
“You okay?”
“Yeah. I’m cool.”
I released his hand and wrapped my arm around his. When he leaned over to me, I puckered my lips for him to kiss. He pecked me quickly as his uncles came out of the room. They both smiled at him, then shook his hand.
Uncle Jasper said, “You just a old jailbird ass nigga now.”
Seven chuckled as his uncle Kenny shook his head. Uncle Jasper was a mess.
“How you doing, niece?”
He’d been calling me his niece for the past year or longer. When I told him Seven and I were just friends, he called bullshit. I could only laugh at him and insist that I was right. I supposed he knew what I didn’t even know back then.
“I’m good, Uncle Jasper. How are you?”
“Good as always. PJ in a decent mood.”
Seven nodded, and we headed that way. He was so quiet, which was soooo unlike his ass. He always had something to say. When we got in the doorway, PJ stared right at us. He smiled. “What yo’ ass looking all nervous for?” he asked, sounding winded.
Seven smiled, and I could feel him relax almost immediately after. He rushed to his bedside, and said, “Man, I thought we had lost you. I would never forgive myself for that shit.”
“Nigga, shut the fuck up. I knew what I was risking. I was the only one that could get inside info. You make sure to tell Mrs. Sidney and Shy that I got some shit for them too.”
I frowned. He was working undercover. Damn. I thought he was still caught up in that bullshit. When I met Mythic, he was in it heavy, just like Mythic.
“What’s up . . . Iesha?”
“Hey, PJ. I’m glad to see you made it.”
“Shit, me too. I ain’t ready to check out of this hellhole yet.”
I giggled. “I guess I’m gon’ have to start calling you Tupac or Fitty. Probably Fitty, since he’s still alive.”
“Shiiiid, Pac alive too. That nigga chillin’ in another country somewhere, smoking a big ass Cuban.”
He chuckled, then groaned in pain.
“I’m sorry, PJ. I’m so glad you’re in good spirits.”
“Yep. They tried to take me outta here to shut me up. Watchful Eyes on their way here. Ali is gonna pretty much camp out here until I get out. They are going to allow my dad to stay in the room. Which, I’ll probably be . . . in a regular room tomorrow.”
“You sound a lil winded,” Seven said.
“Muthafucka . . . I took four bullets. I had a collapsed lung. What you . . . expect?”
“A’ight. You talking too much. Chill out,” Seven said.
“Fuck you. You gon’ . . . listen to whatever . . . I gotta say.”
I stood from my seat and got some water for him. He smiled and sucked from the straw, then winked at Seven. When he’d had enough, he released the straw. “Thank you.”
I nodded and gave him a tight smile.
“The FBI was working with them to get at you. That’s why they wanted you to get at me. They somehow found out I was feeding information to Watchful Eyes.”
“Hol’on, man.” Seven turned to me. “Could you get Missus Sidney so he only have to say this shit once?”
“I sure will. See you again soon, PJ.”
“A’ight, Miss Iesha.”
I grinned at him. He was always so respectful toward me, even when he was selling that shit.
Mythic too. It proved to me that they were raised right, despite the roads they’d taken.
When I got to the waiting area, I went right to Mrs. Sidney.
It looked like she was about to leave. When I informed her that PJ wanted to talk to her, she hauled ass back there.
She was ready to be done with this shit.
I couldn’t blame her, because I was ready too.
I wanted to introduce Seven to my family.
It would be great for them to meet the entire family.
They would get along great with Mrs. Aspen, but Mr. Storm would have to grow on them.
Then again, they would probably like him more than Mrs. Aspen.
I slowly shook my head at the thought. Seven and I were really doing this.
Iesha Teorey had a love life. Un-fucking-believable.
