15. Exodus “Yin” Tan #2

“Yes, but, it’s so dangerous.”

“I know. Mama Tan says bad men succeed when good men do nothing.” I quoted my mother. “I mean, I may not be a very good man, Kitty—correction, I’m not a good man. But I’m not to the point of seeing shit going down and not doing something.”

“Who says?”

I arched a brow.

“Who says you’re not a good man?” Alisha wanted to know. “I’d fight anyone who says that. For what it’s worth, I think you’re a good man.”

I was about to look at her when movement at the property caught my attention.

“Heads up. Someone is coming home.” I told Alisha.

Quickly, she shifted to her belly and began peering through her binoculars. We watched as the gates around the shotty place opened and a lone, black Mercedez Benz entered the car, pulling close to the front door.

It was weird to me, seeing such a prestigious car in a rundown cul-de-sac but I supposed whoever owned it wasn’t very bright.

When it stopped, the driver hopped out and opened the back door of the vehicle. A man stepped out with his dreadlocks tied back and away from his face, sunglasses on while wearing what looked to be beach attire.

“He dresses like an asshole, doesn’t he?” Alisha asked.

I knew the question wasn’t meant for me, still, I chuckled while trying to memorise the man’s face under the front lights of the home. He dipped into the house and the driver glanced around before closing the door and following.

I called Bambam.

“I see him.” Bambam spoke. “His name is—Preston Diggs. He seems to be the second in command. Why is he here?”

“You’re asking me?” I arched a brow. “I’m not a member in a gang, Bam. How would I know?”

She made a sound in her throat—the sound she made when she wanted to tell someone off but was either too busy or just plain didn’t feel like it.

“Maybe tell Tha’lab so she can tell her friend. This guy being in town doesn’t feel right.” Bambam ignored my smart-ass comment.

“Yeah—” I muttered.

We stayed the night and aside from a few of the men in the house stepping out for cigarette breaks, nothing major happened.

Alisha fell asleep a few times beside me, but I didn’t mind.

At one point, I was so caught up in watching her face, the smoothness of her skin, the softness of her breath, the gentle flare of her nose.

The little snorts as she shifted closer and closer to me.

“I’m so far gone.” I shook my head, laughing softly.

By the time morning rolled around, the ERU team took over surveillance and Alisha and I drove down the hill and stopped for breakfast at a Tim Hortons.

“You’re tired.”

Alisha smiled at me, her eyes pale.

“I’m okay.” She nodded before biting into her BLT. “This won’t be forever, right?”

“Right.”

Leaning back in my seat, I watched her eat slowly while drinking from my coffee. While I was hungry, eating was the last thing on my mind.

My ringing cell drew me from my thoughts and without paying much attention, I answered.

“Yin, the ERU is going in.” Tha’lab told me. “I’m going in with them. Apparently, this dude is on their most wanted list and they want him—bad. Maybe he can tell us something on Moses or whatever the hell his name is.”

“Yeah. I’ll tell Alisha.”

“Tell me what?” She stole a hashbrown from my plate and broke it in two.

When she offered me one half, I shook my head. I wasn’t going to eat it anyway. Friend potato was never my favourite thing, but it came with the meal.

I finished the call and set the phone beside my plate.

“Tha’lab’s friends are going in to grab Diggs.” I explained. “They’re hopeful he’ll talk but I don’t see that happening.”

“No?” She chewed.

Her lips shined with the oil from the hashbrown. Picking up a piece of napkin, I folded it in half and gently blotted her mouth.

“No.” I replied, setting the used piece of paper on my now empty place. “You don’t get to his position by being a snitch.”

She scuffed.

“We know your father isn’t there but now that we know who he is and what he looks like, we have a better chance of finding him.”

“I need to go to the bathroom.”

Nodding, I watched her walk away from the table, a bit of dirt on the ass of her pants, her shoulders defeated. I wished I could make the hurt she was feeling go away, but there didn’t seem to be anything I could do.

When we made it back to Sam’s place in the city, Sam was out running errands, Yang was at the hospital, covering for another doctor and the world kept on spinning as if ours wasn’t falling apart.

Alisha stayed by my side until Sam returned then left us alone to lock herself into the upstairs bathroom.

“She’s crying, you know?” Sam told me sadly, looking toward the stairs. “Her heart is breaking and she doesn’t want us to know.”

I sighed.

“I can’t help her, Sam.” I admitted for the first time. “She’s splintering and there’s nothing I can do about it. What kind of useless?—”

“Hey!” Sam barked. “None of that. Alisha just needs a moment.”

“Yeah.”

“Give her a minute and then—” Sam dug through his work bag.

He held up a Chun Guang Classic Creamy Coconut Candy.

“Sam, now is not the time.” I sighed.

“Gēge.”

He only called me that when he was wondering if I was that big of an idiot or just trying to annoy him.

“What?” I asked, not catching on,

“It’s not for you, dummy.” Sam sucked his teeth while shoving the candy into my palm. “Give it to her. It may not be much, but—just trust me.”

Not sure what he meant, I took a deep breath while accepting the candy. They’d changed the recipe many times over the, but it was still our favourite.

Perhaps it was because it reminded us of Papa—of lazy Sunday evenings sitting under the giant tree in the front yard, sharing them with the one man we loved so dearly.

In those moments, Mama would make herself scarce—she wanted us to have moments with our father.

Quality moments.

Giving Sam one final look, I climbed the stairs just as she dipped into her bedroom with a towel wrapped around her. I knocked on the door and after she told me to come, I eased the door opened and stepped in.

“Hey.” I greeted her, feeling shy and stupid.

“Hey.” She sat on the bed and picked up an almost empty tube of lotion from the bedside table.

I watched as she flicked it open and tried squeezing some lotion into her palm. Stepping forward, I removed the tube from her hand, sat on the floor between her legs and silently extended the candy to her.

“Um.” She looked from it to my eyes. “For me?”

“Mhm.”

Alisha smiled and took it.

After she unwrapped it and pushed it between her perfect lips, she smiled brighter and nodded.

“Xiè xie, nán péngyǒu.”

My heart raced proudly, excitedly.

“I see Sam’s been teaching you things.” I folded the end of the tube of her lotion and squeezed.

She giggled.

“Did I say it right?” Alisha asked.

I lathered one of her legs with the lotion then the other. I dragged my hands up her legs to her thighs. The soft, warm insides of them lured me in.

“Yes.” I whispered, my voice cracking. “Perfect.”

Bowing low, I kissed each knee before allowing my lips to trace further upward until I tugged the towel loose.

I gripped her hips and brought her to the edge of the bed, spreading her thighs wider to gain access to my very own candy.

After twirling my tongue around it, I sucked her clit into my mouth, loving her heat, her warmth, her sweetness.

She sighed and I only sucked harder wanting her to come for me.

Slowly, I feasted on her, holding her thighs apart, feeling them shake in ways that told me I was doing something right.

Then she came on my tongue as I plunged it into her, listening to her purring. Proudly, I held her in place with a palm against her abdomen and took pleasure in having her come repeatedly until she tried pushing my mouth away.

“I don’t get it, Kitty.” I teased, kissing up her body. “A second ago, you were holding my head down, wanting my mouth, loving the way I sucked on your?—”

She covered my mouth weakly with a palm.

I kissed her palm and she dropped her hand.

“And now you want me to stop?”

She panted in reply.

I licked one nipple, kissed the valley between her breasts and after a kiss that was longer than my life, I met her gaze.

She was trying to tug at my pants and was getting more and more irritated when my belt kept it in place.

“Sam is downstairs.” I teased, nuzzling her neck. “Be a good girl and get dressed.”’

“If you stop now, I’ll never talk to you again.” She breathed. “I’m serious.”

“We can’t take that chance, now, can we?”

I knelt astride her and brought both her hands to the buckle on my belt.

Without hesitating she peeled my t-shirt over my head and dropped her mouth to my chest. She nipped, licked, sucked—she stopped at one nipple and sucked until I almost floated away.

When she let up, it was to move her mouth to the other, all while fumbling with my zipper and belt buckle.

When I was free, she stroked my cock and looked up at me before laying backwards and spreading her legs.

“The last time, I couldn’t see you when you came.” Alisha cleared her throat. “This time, I want to see.”

How was I supposed to be careful, be able to think when she talked like that?

When she looked at me like that?—

Unable to resist, I took her—hard.

Her tight wetness held me like a glove, threatening to burn me alive.

I would let her.

I wanted her to.

Then she wrapped her legs around my hips, pulled her ass back and drove upward, taking me deeper.

How’s that possible?

This time, when I had her where I wanted her, I drove into her without thinking, without remorse. I took her completely, over and over until her eyes crossed and she came.

Her wetness excited me and as much as I needed to bend her to my carnal will, twist her into different positions, I remembered her wanting to see me come, and held out.

When I finally broke for her, shattering into every colour of the rainbow, she framed my cheeks and held my head in place. She stared into my eyes until she too climaxed.

Then and only then did she released me.

I burned my face into the side of her head, shaking from what she’d done to me.

“Lǎogōng.” I managed before slumping down on top of her.
