CHAPTER25 [OBSESSION]
The tension in the room turns suffocating.
Aarohi doesn’t look away.
Even though his grip hurts… even though fear is crawling under her skin…
She still stands there, staring straight into his eyes.
That defiance—
It snaps something inside Vihaan.
He suddenly pulls her even closer.
So close that she can feel his breath.
“Jawab do mujhe…”
(Answer me…)
His voice is low… but filled with anger.
“Kaun hai wo?”
(Who is he?)
Aarohi’s lips tremble slightly… but her voice comes out steady—
“Koi hai jo aapse better hai.”
(Someone who is better than you.)
For a second—
Everything freezes.
Vihaan’s expression goes completely still.
Dangerously still.
Then slowly… a cold smile appears on his face.
“Better?”
(Better?)
He lets out a quiet laugh… but there’s no humor in it.
“Mujhse better koi nahi hota.”
(No one is better than me.)
Aarohi’s eyes fill again, but this time not with fear—
With anger.
“Har wo insaan aapse better hai jisme insaaniyat hoti hai.”
(Anyone who has humanity is better than you.)
That hits.
Hard.
The smile on Vihaan’s face disappears instantly.
His jaw tightens.
For a moment, it looks like he might lose control.
But instead—
He suddenly lets go of her.
Aarohi stumbles back, holding her waist, trying to steady herself.
Vihaan turns away, running a hand through his hair, trying to calm the storm inside him.
Then without looking at her, he says—
“Naam.”
(Name.)
Aarohi stays silent.
“Uska naam.”
(His name.)
Still no response.
Vihaan slowly turns back toward her.
His eyes now darker than before.
“Thik hai…”
(Fine…)
His voice drops to a whisper—
“Mat batao.”
(Don’t tell me.)
A pause.
Then—
“Waise bhi mujhe zyada waqt nahi lagega.”
(It won’t take me long anyway.)
Aarohi’s heartbeat starts racing again.
Fear mixes with anger.
“Nahi…!”
(No…!)
She steps forward instinctively.
“Agar tumne usse kuch bhi kiya na—”
(If you do anything to him—)
Vihaan cuts her off immediately.
“Toh?”
(Then?)
He walks toward her again.
Slow. Controlled.
Terrifying.
“Kya kar logi tum?”
(What will you do?)
Aarohi has no answer.
But her silence says everything.
Vihaan stops right in front of her.
Looks down at her with that same dangerous calm.
“Yaad rakhna…”
(Remember this…)
His voice is almost a whisper now—
“Tum meri ho… aur jo mera hota hai, usse bachane ke liye nahi… rakhne ke liye main kuch bhi karta hoon.”
(You are mine… and I don’t protect what’s mine… I keep it—no matter what it takes.)
Aarohi’s eyes widen slightly.
Because this—
This wasn’t love.
This was obsession.
Vihaan steps back.
This time, creating distance on his own.
“Rest karo…”
(Get some rest…)
As if nothing just happened.
As if he didn’t just threaten someone’s life.
He walks toward the couch again, loosening his cuffs.
Aarohi stands there… frozen.
Her mind running in a thousand directions.
One thought louder than all—
Zayan.
Her fists clench.
“Nahi hone dungi…”
(I won’t let this happen…)
She whispers it to herself.
Because this time—
It’s not just about her anymore.
It’s about saving someone else…
from becoming a victim of Vihaan’s obsession.
Wait for next part.??
