CHAPTER46 [WILL HE SIGN]
Aarohi slowly opened her eyes.
Her head was spinning badly after crying the entire night.
For a few seconds, she simply stared at the ceiling blankly.
As if her soul was too tired to even react anymore.
---
Slowly, she got up from the bed and walked towards the washroom.
After freshening up, she looked at herself in the mirror.
Her swollen eyes.
Pale face.
Broken expression.
Everything reminded her how badly life had shattered her.
---
Taking a deep breath, she stepped outside the washroom and started walking towards the door.
But before she could leave-
Vihaan stopped her.
"Ruko."
(Wait.)
"Breakfast yahi aa raha hai."
(Breakfast is coming here.)
"Tumhari tabiyat theek nahi hai."
(You're not well.)
---
Aarohi looked at him emotionlessly.
"Tumhe meri parwah karne ki zarurat nahi hai."
(You don't need to care about me.)
---
Pain flashed across Vihaan's face for a second.
But he still spoke softly.
"Jaanta hoon gussa ho..."
(I know you're angry...)
"Par phir bhi-"
---
Aarohi cut him off instantly.
"Gussa bhi uspar aata hai jisse koi apna rishta ho."
(Anger only comes for someone you truly have a relationship with.)
"Main toh zabardasti iss rishte me hoon."
(I'm only in this relationship forcefully.)
---
Those words hit Vihaan harder than any slap ever could.
But before he could stop her-
Aarohi walked past him and left downstairs.
---
Vihaan wanted to hold her back.
Wanted to explain.
Wanted to say something.
But for the first time-
he let her go silently.
Because somewhere deep down-
he knew he deserved this distance.
---
Downstairs, Aarohi silently finished her breakfast while everyone looked at her worriedly.
But today-
she didn't have the strength to pretend anymore.
---
After breakfast, she quietly picked up her bag and walked out of the mansion.
Without telling anyone where she was going.
---
Around an hour later-
Aarohi's car stopped outside an old abandoned farmhouse on the outskirts of the city.
The same place where her mother had asked her to come after calling repeatedly last night.
---
The weather looked gloomy.
Dark clouds covered the sky heavily.
As if even nature knew something terrible was about to happen.
---
Aarohi stepped out of the car slowly.
Her hands trembled slightly.
Not because she was scared.
But because today-
she was about to bury whatever feelings she still had left for the woman who gave birth to her.
---
As she entered inside-
she saw her mother sitting on the couch nervously.
And beside her-
Mr. Mehra.
Her so-called stepfather.
---
The moment her mother saw Aarohi-
she immediately stood up.
"Aarohi beta meri baat sun-"
(Aarohi please listen to me-)
---
But Aarohi raised her hand coldly.
"Bas."
(Enough.)
"Aaj sirf sach bola jayega."
(Today only the truth will be spoken.)
---
Mr. Mehra frowned angrily.
"Tum iss tarah humse baat nahi kar sakti."
(You can't talk to us like this.)
---
Aarohi slowly looked at him.
Her eyes completely emotionless.
"Aur aap kisi ki jaan nahi le sakte the."
(And you had no right to take someone's life.)
---
Silence filled the room instantly.
---
Her mother started crying uncontrollably.
"Aarohi humse galti ho gayi..."
(Aarohi, we made a mistake...)
---
But Aarohi laughed bitterly.
"Galti?"
(A mistake?)
"Kisi ki jaan lena galti hoti hai?"
(Taking someone's life is called a mistake?)
"Mere papa ne aapse pyar kiya..."
(My father loved you...)
"Unhone kabhi aapko force nahi kiya..."
(He never forced you...)
"Phir bhi aapne unhe maar diya..."
(And still you killed him...)
---
Her voice broke painfully.
Tears gathered in her eyes again.
But this time-
she refused to cry.
---
Mr. Mehra suddenly stood up angrily.
"Proof hai tumhare paas?"
(Do you have any proof?)
---
Aarohi slowly looked at him.
Then silently opened her bag.
And placed a file on the table.
---
Both of them froze instantly.
---
"Ye..."
(This...)
"Papa ki postmortem reports."
(My father's postmortem reports.)
---
Her mother's hands started shaking badly.
---
"Accidental death me poison traces nahi milte."
(Poison traces are not found in accidental deaths.)
"Aur na hi brake failure ki reports fake hoti hain."
(And brake failure reports aren't fabricated either.)
---
Mr. Mehra's face lost all color.
---
Aarohi continued coldly.
"Papa ki old diary bhi mili mujhe."
(I also found dad's old diary.)
"Unhe sab pata chal gaya tha."
(He had found out everything.)
"Aap dono ke affair ke baare me."
(About both of your affair.)
---
Her mother broke down completely hearing that.
---
"Aur uss raat..."
(And that night...)
"Jis raat papa mare the..."
(The night dad died...)
"Factory ke CCTV backup me aap dono ki car record hui thi."
(Your car was recorded in the factory CCTV backup.)
---
Mr. Mehra immediately panicked.
"That's impossible!"
---
Aarohi smiled painfully.
"Impossible?"
(Impossible?)
"Mr.mehra there is nothing in the world is impossible."
---
Just then-
the farmhouse door suddenly opened.
And police officers entered inside.
---
Her mother's face went pale instantly.
"No... Aarohi please..."
(No... Aarohi please...)
---
But Aarohi stepped back coldly.
For the first time-
there was no daughter left inside her.
Only a broken girl who wanted justice for her father.
---
The police officers immediately walked towards Mr. Mehra and her mother.
"You both are under arrest for planned murder and evidence tampering."
---
Her mother fell at Aarohi's feet crying.
"Please beta... mat kar..."
(Please don't do this...)
---
Aarohi's eyes filled again.
But she moved away slowly.
"Beta uss din mar gayi thi..."
(The daughter died that day...)
"Jis din aapne mere papa ko maara."
(The day you killed my father.)
---
Her mother screamed crying while police took them away.
Mr. Mehra kept trying to defend himself.
But today-
nobody listened.
---
And Aarohi...
she just stood there silently watching everything.
Not satisfied.
Not relieved.
Just empty.
Completely empty.
---
Because justice could punish the criminals.
But it could never bring her father back.
Aarohi returned home in the evening.
The moment she entered the room-
Vihaan stood up immediately.
He had been waiting for her the entire day.
---
The moment he looked at her face-
he understood everything.
The emptiness in her eyes had increased even more.
As if today-
something inside her had died permanently.
---
Vihaan slowly walked towards her.
"Tumhe mujhe batana chahiye tha..."
(You should've told me...)
"Main tumhare saath chalta."
(I would've gone with you.)
---
Aarohi stopped for a second.
Then she looked at him quietly.
And smiled bitterly.
---
"Saath?"
(Together?)
"Really?"
---
Her eyes slowly filled again.
"Ek waqt tha jab maanga tha..."
(There was a time when I asked for it...)
"Par tumne nahi diya."
(But you didn't give it to me.)
---
Those words pierced straight through Vihaan's heart.
But before he could say anything-
Aarohi walked into the washroom.
Leaving him standing there silently.
---
Vihaan closed his eyes painfully.
For the first time-
he was truly understanding her pain.
The loneliness.
The helplessness.
The feeling of begging someone to trust you-
and getting abandoned instead.
---
And now when only a small part of that pain was reaching him-
it was already unbearable.
Then how had Aarohi survived all these years?
---
After some time, Aarohi came out of the washroom.
Without saying anything.
Without even looking at Vihaan once.
She quietly laid down on the bed and turned to the other side.
---
Vihaan kept looking at her silently the entire night.
But today-
for the first time-
he felt terrified.
Terrified of losing her forever.
---
The next morning...
Both of them woke up quietly.
Silence filled the room again.
Heavy.
Painful.
---
Aarohi slowly got up from the bed.
Then after standing silently for a few seconds-
she finally spoke.
"Mujhe tumse kuch kaam tha."
(I needed something from you.)
---
Vihaan immediately looked towards her.
A tiny hope appeared inside him.
Maybe...
maybe she was finally ready to talk properly.
---
But then-
Aarohi walked towards the table and picked up some papers.
Her hands trembled slightly while holding them.
---
She slowly walked towards Vihaan and extended the papers towards him.
"Ispar tumhari sign chahiye."
(I need your signature on this.)
---
Confused, Vihaan took the papers from her hands.
But the moment his eyes landed on the first page-
his entire body froze.
---
His hands started trembling badly.
It felt like the ground disappeared beneath his feet.
---
Because written there in bold capital letters was only one word.
DIVORCE.
---
Vihaan immediately looked up at Aarohi.
Shock.
Fear.
Pain.
Everything was visible in his eyes.
---
But Aarohi stood there emotionlessly.
As if she had already cried enough.
---
"Main aur iss zabardasti ke rishte me nahi reh sakti."
(I can't stay in this forced relationship anymore.)
"Please..."
(Please...)
"Mujhe inn sab se dur jaana hai."
(I want to go far away from all this now.)
---
The next second-
something happened that Aarohi never imagined.
---
Vihaan slowly fell down on his knees in front of her.
The same Vihaan Singhania-
who never bowed in front of anyone.
Who never begged.
Who never showed weakness.
---
Today-
he was kneeling in front of his wife.
Broken completely.
---
Tears filled his eyes.
And Aarohi stood there shocked seeing him like this.
---
"Aarohi..."
(Aarohi...)
His voice cracked badly.
"Main jaanta hoon meri galti hai..."
(I know it's my fault...)
"Maine past me bohot galat kiya..."
(I made many mistakes in the past...)
"Maine tumhe hurt kiya..."
(I hurt you...)
"Tumhe toda..."
(I broke you...)
---
Tears finally rolled down his face.
"Par please itna bada faisla mat lo..."
(But please don't make such a big decision...)
---
For the first time-
Vihaan looked scared.
Not angry.
Not possessive.
Just scared.
Like a man watching his entire world slip away from his hands.
---
But Aarohi closed her eyes painfully.
"Nahi Vihaan..."
(No, Vihaan...)
"Mujhse nahi hoga ab..."
(I can't do this anymore...)
"Maine khud ko bohot mushkil se sambhala hai..."
(I held myself together with great difficulty...)
---
Her voice trembled badly now.
"Please sign karo..."
(Please sign them...)
"Aur mujhe azaad kar do..."
(And set me free...)
"Tum bhi sukoon se jiyo..."
(You live peacefully too...)
"Aur mujhe bhi jeene do..."
(And let me live too.)
---
At that moment-
Vihaan finally realized something terrifying.
Sometimes love alone is not enough to save a relationship.
Especially when trust has already died.
Wait for next part....??
