CHAPTER61 [YOU NEVER LOVE ME]

A little while later, Sana helped Aarohi downstairs.

Everyone gathered around the dining table for dinner.

Just then...

Vihaan walked in.

Anjali looked at him with concern.

"Beta, you've only just recovered, and you've already started working again. At least take some rest."

Vihaan gave her a small smile.

"Maa, I've rested enough."

"I can't sit idle anymore."

"And besides..."

"I'm completely fine now."

Before Anjali could say anything, Rhea laughed.

"Maa, has he ever listened to anyone when it comes to work?"

"I don't think he ever will."

Then she looked at Aarohi with a mischievous smile.

"But... maybe he'll listen if Bhabhi tells him."

For a brief moment...

Aarohi looked at Vihaan.

At the same time, Vihaan's eyes met hers.

Neither of them spoke.

There were no words...

Yet their silence carried countless emotions.

Unable to hold his gaze, Aarohi quietly lowered her eyes.

The conversation naturally shifted to Rhea's wedding preparations, and soon everyone finished dinner together.

After clearing the table, Anjali clapped her hands lightly.

"Alright, everyone. Go to bed early."

"We have to start wedding shopping from tomorrow."

Everyone nodded before heading to their respective rooms.

···

It was almost two in the morning.

The entire mansion was asleep.

But sleep was nowhere near Aarohi.

She lay awake, staring at the ceiling.

Sana's words kept replaying in her mind.

*"After you left... he broke completely."*

*"He had panic attacks..."*

*"He stopped eating..."*

Aarohi closed her eyes tightly.

"My leaving made him suffer that much..."

A tear escaped the corner of her eye.

"But..."

"He was the one who hurt me first."

"He was the one who broke my trust."

Just then...

A voice inside her heart whispered,

*"But... you started this war first, didn't you?"*

Aarohi immediately sat up.

"No..."

She covered her face with both hands.

Her thoughts were suffocating her.

Unable to stay inside the room any longer, she quietly walked out.

The cool night breeze welcomed her as she stepped into the garden.

Everything was silent.

Only the sound of leaves rustling in the wind could be heard.

She slowly walked along the stone pathway, trying to clear her mind.

Then...

She noticed someone sitting a little farther ahead.

As she walked closer...

She realized it was Vihaan.

Vihaan looked up and saw her.

He immediately stood up.

"Is everything alright?"

"Did you need something?"

Aarohi slowly shook her head.

"No."

Vihaan gave a slight nod.

"Then you should go back and get some sleep."

"It's very late."

Aarohi looked at the moon before replying softly,

"I couldn't sleep."

"So... I came out for some fresh air."

"Oh..."

Vihaan simply nodded.

Silence settled between them once again.

Neither of them knew how to begin a conversation that had been waiting for over a year.

A few moments later...

Aarohi finally broke the silence.

Without looking at him, she softly asked,

"It must have been... really difficult for you, wasn't it?"

Vihaan looked at her and replied softly,

"Yeah... it was."

He looked up at the night sky before continuing,

"You know... I went to London three times."

Aarohi looked at him in surprise.

"But... I never had the courage to face you."

Aarohi stared at him for a few seconds before asking,

"So... marrying me was a mistake, wasn't it?"

Vihaan looked straight into her eyes.

"Hmm..."

"I made mistakes."

"But even today, I'll say the same thing..."

"Marrying you was never one of them."

"What I regret..."

"...is the way I did it."

"I should never have forced you."

"I should have won your heart with love."

"I should have convinced you..."

"...instead of forcing you."

Aarohi lowered her gaze before speaking,

"Then why me?"

"There were so many girls who were crazy about you."

"You could've married any one of them."

"Your life wouldn't have been ruined like this."

Vihaan smiled faintly.

"Yeah..."

"They were."

"But what about my heart?"

He looked at her with nothing but honesty in his eyes.

"The woman I fell in love with..."

"Didn't I have the right to make her mine?"

Aarohi shook her head.

"No."

"You're wrong."

"You never loved me, Vihaan."

Aarohi continued,

"You never loved me, Vihaan."

She looked straight into his eyes.

"Maybe... you still don't."

"Perhaps what you're feeling now isn't love."

"Maybe it's guilt."

"Maybe you pity me... or the condition I'm in."

"Because people who truly love someone..."

"...don't keep repeating the same mistakes."

"But you did, Vihaan."

Vihaan looked at her and said,

"You're wrong, Aarohi."

"Tell me..."

"What do I have to do to prove that my love is real?"

"Just tell me."

"I'm willing to do anything."

Aarohi looked at him with tearful eyes before replying,

"Let me go."

"Let me leave."

"Take me out of your life."

"That's all I want."

Vihaan looked into her eyes for a long moment before speaking.

"Aarohi..."

"Please forgive me..."

"But I can't do that."

He took out his gun and held it out to her.

"Take my life, Aarohi."

"If you leave again this time..."

"I won't survive anyway."

"You can kill me."

"Maybe that's exactly what I deserve."

Aarohi stared at him.

Her eyes instantly filled with tears.
