At seven sharp, I’m glaring at the security cameras. Where is she? I hope she hasn’t decided to back out of this. Then again, I kind of hope she does.

Finally, Daelyn steps into view of the camera, gracefully gliding up the walkway to the main entrance of the Monarch. She halts at the door and my heart skips a beat when I watch her fluff her dark hair to make it fall on her shoulders in long waves.
