Rowan opened the door to Harper’s Bar for Nellie. Inside was exactly what she pictured a small-town historic bar to look like. The long bar was polished wood and with leather stools all around it.

The front of the bar was filled with tables. The back of the bar had billiards, darts, and a giant television that could be seen from every seat in the bar. It was warm, cozy, and full of energy.

“You must be Nellie!” A woman rose from one of the tables and hurried over to her with a friendly smile on her face.

“Nellie, this is my sister-in-law Waverly. She’s married to my brother Kane, who is coming this way now,” Rowan introduced.
