Dinner passed quickly while we devoured our meals and talked about our careers. I told Jackson more about what it takes to edit romance novels and how much I love working from home. I told him about some of the favorite books that I’ve worked on, and how it can be difficult to juggle deadlines.

I learned more about the demanding schedule Jackson has during the season. He had practice early this morning, which is why he was able to spend the rest of the day with me. He has practice again tomorrow morning, before flying out East for two nights of away games.

It’s no surprise that he spends most of his off season traveling with his mama. In the past, they’d go visit Steph, but - now that she’s here, too - they go wherever they want. Which of course lead to us discussing the places we’ve been and places we would like to go.
