I’m shocked I was able to sleep at all, but when I open my eyes, the light creeping in from the partially closed blinds is bright. It’s well past noon now. Poseidon is already awake, typing one-handed on his phone. His other hand is pressed to the small of my back. When I move to slide off him, he releases me easily. My back aches, but not as much as I expected it to. Probably because Poseidon was my mattress for that little nap.
