Keeping my cool while watching Devon dancing with Bailey had taken every ounce of strength I had. I kept remembering my conversation with Wayne, reminding myself over and over that I trusted Devon and that he’d picked me over everyone else. If I wanted to prove to him I was worthy of his love, I had to control my temper and that started here and now.

Bailey wasn’t trying it on. That was obvious as soon as I took a deep breath and let the red haze fade from my eyes and looked at the situation with a clear head. His hands might’ve been on Devon’s waist, but his movements were playful… overexaggerated… teasing, but not to Devon. To me… and to whoever Bailey kept looking at over the crowd.
