T he next few days passed with a torturous slowness.
Luella felt like a shell of herself as she waited for Az to uphold his promise and come for her.
She could not find a moment to escape alone in the night to the library.
And so, along with prophetic poems and dark creatures, the contents of the book remained solely in her mind.
