cappadonna

. . .

Touching down back in America ain’t never felt so fucking good. I missed my wife and my kids. All a nigga wanted to do was spend time with my twins, and daughter. Capone and Capri must have been smoking crack if they thought I wasn’t going to come and see Morgan off. I sat in that cell day in and out thinking about the day I would end that man.

To hear that the reason he had this beef with me and Capone was because of my father had me curious. Who the fuck was Elena, and why did my father end her to prove a point to Morgan? With closure came more damn problems and even more fucking questions I needed answers to. Right now, I didn’t need the answers to anything.

I just needed to lay eyes on my wife, and make sure she was good. Leaving after we had just had our twins was a lot on her, especially because she couldn’t be right with me. Alaia worried about me whenever she wasn’t with me. I could tell by her tone when we were on the phone, and I told her I was in the closet.

When Capella asked to sleep in the bed with me, the shit touched my heart. I remember the first time that Capone found out about me sleeping in the closet. He grabbed his shit and slept in the closet beside me. It wasn’t something that I wanted everyone to know about. A nigga was embarrassed, I just felt like certain shit I needed to keep to myself.

It would have been a special moment between me and my son if his ass wasn’t snoring in my fucking ear half the night. I spent the other half watching him sleep, wishing I could get inside his head. Capella battled a lot and would never show what he was going through. As much as I told him to let his emotions out, he still held onto that side where he felt he was being soft and needed to be strong.

Me: Just landed, baby… on my way to you.

Joy Delgato: Hurry. Miss you.

One of the pilots walked from the cockpit back toward where we were. “Mr. Delgato… we have the authorities waiting near the hanger.”

I leaned up, my heart racing, but I remained cool. “They said why?”

Menace’s team handled the guns, so I wasn’t worried about us having anything illegal on board with us. “They here for me, Capp,” Goon said.

“What you mean?” Capone asked.

“My PO been on some bullshit, so I know it was her who fucking said some shit… I fucked up.”

I leaned forward and sighed because he was still on papers, so he was going back behind that wall. “Shit, Goon.... you was fucking her?”

He nodded his head. “Yeah.”

A woman scorned, no matter who she was, or her profession was going to come for blood every time. “Let me call, Pri… she’ll fix this.” Capella grabbed is phone and Goon stopped him.

“Fuck that… Lady Inferno deserves this break. Quasim and Quameer too. I’m going with them, no choice, promise me that none of y’all niggas gonna tell them until they back.” He looked at all of us in the eyes, as the jet neared the hangar.

“You got my word. I’m gonna call Zoya though… you not getting off without doing something, but hopefully she can soften the fucking blow.”

I knew Sim would be pissed, but I was respecting what Goon wanted. Quasim never did shit like this, and the last thing he wanted was to be the reason he didn’t get to relax and kick back.

He held his phone in his hand, and we all watched as he scrolled his phone and hit a button. It started to ring, as he sat on the edge of his chair.

“Hi Gerald… what do I owe this call? Yes. I got your roses, and no I won’t have your babies,” Zoya answered like she had rehearsed this before he called.

“Ms. Lawyer, when you get a minute, come see me.”

“Come see you? Gerald, what are you talking about?”

“When you get a chance, come see me, Ms. Lawyer.”

“Come see you? What’s going on, Gerald?” Zoya asked, clearly confused by his sudden call and demand of her coming to see him.

He sighed, like he was disappointed in himself for slipping like this. “I gotta go sit up, baby… I need to go and finish my time and answer for my recklessness.”

I could hear things moving in her background. “Where are they taking you? I’m heading there now.”

“I don’t know yet, but I’m gonna have Capp reach out to you with whatever information they give him... ight?”

“Gerald…”

“Aye, save whatever you gonna tell me until you come see me. That way I know you coming to visit me.”

Zoya sighed. “You are a thorn in my side, Gerald Wraith… I will be seeing you. Tell Cappadonna to call me when he knows more.”

“Got you, Ms. Lawyer.”

“Don’t say nothing to them, Gerald… nothing. As far as you know, you don’t know how you ended up on that plane, okay?”

He smirked. “Got you, baby.”

She ended the call, and I looked at Gerald as the wheels on the jet stopped. “You already know they bout to jump on this jet and put us all in handcuffs,” Capone replied.

“Nah… I’m gonna go meet them.” He stood up and dapped me up.

I pulled him into a hug. “You got this shit… something small to a giant. We gonna make sure we get you the lesser time, but sit up and do your fucking time and think about coming home to Zoya… if that’s what you want, then sit up and keep your head clear and clean, feel me?” I whispered into his ear.

“Got you, Capp.”

They let the stairs down for the jet, and Goon looked back at us, and Yasin saluted him. “Fuck you meannnn!” Yasin yelled, and Goon smirked, as he headed down the steps.

I watched as he walked toward the middle, and then got down on his knees with his hands behind his head. Bowing my head, I said a prayer for him, as I watched them quickly cuff him, and bring him to the car.

An officer was heading toward the jet, and I looked at everybody. We all nodded, knowing the drill.

“Yo Capo, relax and think about the kids. I know you don’t like to be cuffed… don’t give em a reason to act even more stupid than they already want to… ight?”

I knew my twin and he didn’t like to feel restricted. It came from when he was a child, and they used to have to hold him down to give him an IV or blood transfusion because of his sickle cell. Aside from the fact that I would never fucking snitch on my twin, the other reason I took that charge was because of that. We both had weaknesses and strengths, and I could sit up knowing I didn’t have sickle cell.

He suffered through our childhood enough; I couldn’t imagine him having to sit in prison and fight that illness.

“They rough on you then it’s up, Capp. You still fucking injured.”

“Facts,” Capella added.

I looked at both of them. “The goal is to get the fuck off this jet without any of us being hauled the fuck away for some fuck ass reason… if they get rough, I’m straight. We at their mercy right now, but there will be a time when they’ll be at ours… play the game,” I explained, as I watched the car Goon was put in drive away.

I knew one thing, Big Goon was gonna be straight.
