Chapter 10

She looks truly furious, dripping wet and hot as fuck, and I have to force myself to keep moving away from her. I can’t help teasing her a little though, lifting my shirt and wringing it out with my fist. She fights it at first, the defiant little thing she is, but then her eyes drop to my abs, and I make a point to lift it up a little higher, showing her what could belong to her if she’d just let herself have it.

“Tell Derek if I see him around you again, I’ll?—”

“You won’t do shit,” she cuts in.

I raise a brow. “Won’t I?”

“You’ll have to catch him first.”

Amused, I let her win this one, taking one last look at her over my shoulder, not even bothering to hide how much I want her. I want her to know. I want her to feel it, to feel me long after I’m gone, to think about me and obsess over me the way I do her.

I want to stay and fight with her, play with her some more, but I don’t because there’s a black Lamborghini parked on the street outside her apartment building, and the driver looks like he’ll jump out and drag me back by the scruff of my neck if I try to run away again.

Running a hand through my wet hair, I stop at the driver’s side and lean over to rest my forearms on the door. Instead of looking at me, he’s staring at Hailey behind me, his jaw locked up tight with his hand flexing on the steering wheel.

“Is he in there?”

“I don’t know. I didn’t see him.”

Damon looks at me then, his eyes darkening with rage as he checks my form for damage. “Did you let her soak you with a fucking hose?”

I grin. Callie lets out a snort in the passenger seat, her feet up on the dash with a lit joint between her lips. Levi’s sitting in the back with my twin brother on his lap, his eyes on me as he runs his hands over Wren’s thighs. Wren’s straddling him right there on the back seat, staring at me accusingly while he makes out with Levi’s jaw.

“Don’t do that again.”

“Why?” I cock my head. “You don’t look that worried about me, brother,” I tease.

“He calms me down,” he grits out before he goes back to making out with Levi’s face.

“Get in,” Damon says.

I do as I’m told, opening the back door to slide in beside the boys. “What about my car?”

“Ross took it home,” Levi answers, but his attention is all on Wren, his hands smoothing over his hips to pull him closer. “Damon said you couldn’t be trusted to drive yourself, so I gave him your spare key. He said he’ll only scratch it a little.”

“Fucker,” I mutter.

Ross used to work for Levi’s dad. He’s an unhinged fucker with a nasty temper and a big ego. I like the guy, but I’ll fuck him up if he messes with my car.

“Since when does Ross pick up cars for us?”

“Wren,” Damon barks impatiently.

Wren rolls his eyes, reluctantly climbing off Levi’s lap to pull his seatbelt on.

“Since his boss is dead and he’s out of a job,” Levi says to me, wrapping his arm around Wren’s neck to play with his hair. “He gets restless when he’s got nothing to do, so I told him he can work for us so long as he doesn’t shoot anyone.”

I nod and pull my own belt on. Levi didn’t even blink at the mention of his dead father, but I can’t say I blame him. Killian Matthews was a sick piece of shit who made Levi and Callie’s lives hell. He had it coming, and none of us regret what we did to him.

Damon starts driving, and Callie turns her head to look at me, passing me the joint in her hand. “She still yours?”

I grin again, and she grins back.

Fuck yeah, she’s still mine.
