Chapter 40
Margo
I pulled my jacket tighter around me as I turned the corner and walked away from the warehouse. The street lights did not look like they were getting brighter. It was late, and I knew that I shouldn’t have left the rest of the guys.
I fumbled my phone for a second before I tried to open my speed dial to call a driver to come pick me up. But I paused forgetting the fact that Ben couldn’t find out that I snuck out of the house this late.
The streetlights flickered, the ground casted shadows. The cracks on the pavement grew larger. I quickened my pace, no longer had the view of the warehouse.
My footsteps echoed through the streets. I turned another corner; chills ran down my spine. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up. I felt someone watching my every move. I turned my head and glanced over my shoulder but saw nothing but a flickering streetlamp.
My body shook, still feeling unease. My pace started to grow faster. My eyes scanned the surroundings once more.
Suddenly I saw a glimpse of a man with a black hoodie, my feeling of being followed had grew stronger.
My heart started to race, his footsteps behind me, matching my pace. I pulled out my phone, the second on speed dial had been Liam.
I clicked his name, with in one second, he answered.
“I know you’re mad at me but Liam, someone’s following me. I don’t know where I am.” My voice shook as I spoke.
I could hear Liam gather all the boys and yelled at them to get on their motorcycles.
“Raine, share your location with me again.” He asked.
I clicked on the location icon; panic began to set in for me. I considered running but I knew it would’ve drew more attention to me.
“Okay, I shared it.” I whispered.
I felt Liam’s worry over the speaker, “Take a deep breath, try and stay calm. I’m getting you.” He assured me.
I spotted a small gas station up ahead. It was maybe a block far, and I decided to wait for Liam there. I was slightly hoping that there would be people inside. I walked faster, the footsteps behind me quickened as well.
I felt my pulse pounding in my ears, and the fear tightening in my chest the longer it took for Liam to get me.
As soon as I reached the store I glanced back and caught another glimpse of a shadowy figure ducking into an alley. I quickly rushed, the bell above the door rattling loudly.
I tried to steady my breathing as I approached the counter.
“Can I help you?” The cashier asked, eyeing me with concern.
“I think someone is following me,” I whispered, my voice trembled.
The cashier’s expression didn’t change, “It happens all the time in Brownsville, I have no idea why you are walking alone in the streets, let alone at night.”
I miss Hawthorne.
I pulled my phone with shaky hands. But even before I could turn it on, the door slammed open, Liam’s face gave me comfort. He rushed over to me, and I couldn’t help but wrap my arms around him.
Liam was hesitant to embrace my hug, I opened my eyes to see Verina and Chris behind him. Liam finally gave in and let me melt into his embrace. His hand had crept to cradle the back of my head.
“Don’t leave me, please.” I trembled.
Liam didn’t say a word, he only sighed.
Liam led me out of the gas station, and revealed a tinted car, “I thought you guys came here on your motorcycles.”
“Yeah, we did but I don’t trust that something will happen to you while we are on an exposed vehicle.” He glowered.
The car ride back to his house was silent, the tension thick in the air. I couldn't bring myself to say anything, my mind racing with the events of the night.
Liam’s presence was the only thing keeping me grounded. His eyes, focused on the road, occasionally glanced at me, concern etched on his face.
“It’s cold.” I muttered, hoping that it would start up a conversation.
Liam sighed and took my hand and placed it on the steering wheel, “Drive for me.” He asked as my eyes widened.
Liam let go of the wheel as I continued to steer for him, with my left hand. I watched the road ahead as he pulled his sweatshirt off of himself.
He finally took a hold of the steering wheel again, before handing me his sweatshirt.
I sighed in relief as I put his sweatshirt on, smelling his cologne and the warmth of his hoodie.
We pulled into his driveway, the house looming in the darkness. Liam got out first and opened my door, offering a hand to help me out. I took it, grateful for the small comfort. We walked up to the door, the silence between us almost unbearable.
Liam paused before opening the door, turning to look at me. “You’re safe here,” He said softly, his voice was a soothing balm to my frazzled nerves. I nodded, unable to find the words to express my gratitude.
Inside, the house was dimly lit, the shadows casting eerie patterns on the walls. Liam led me to his room, the familiarity of the space providing a strange sense of comfort.
LIAM
M argo and I had arrived at my room. She looked horrified and tired all together. I couldn’t blame her. We haven’t talked the whole ride to my house.
“Why did you agree to take me to your house?” She asked me plainly as I avoided eye contact.
“You asked me not to leave you.” I muttered.
Margo walked into my room, her eyes scanned around and spotted a bouquet of flowers on my desktop.
“You’re still going on your date?” She asked as I didn’t answer.
Margo walked closer to me, my skin felt her presence get closer and closer. She turned me around, her eyes softened.
Her expression was a mix of longing and regret, she took a deep breath and turned my face so that I could make direct eye contact. She took a deep breath; her voice was barely a whisper.
“Thank you for… saving me. I know you don’t have a reason to anymore. You shouldn’t be saving me anymore but, it’s a force of habit.” She shook.
I swallowed as she kept her eyes on me, “What is it, Margo?” I asked her as a tear fell from her eyes.
“I was so scared Liam,” She buried her face into my chest, “I know you’re staying away from me because of my engagement, and I should be staying away from you but despite everything––.” She sobbed.
“––I miss you. I miss us.” She cried as I cradled the back of her head with my large hand.
I was taken aback by her confession, my heart pounded in my chest, which I’m sure she could hear loud and clear.
“Margo, you chose to move on. You chose someone else.” I mumbled.
She shook her head, a tear slid down her cheek as she looked up at me, “I want you, Liam.”
Her words hung in the air, heavy with meaning. I watched the turmoil in her eyes, the same that mirrored my own. I wanted to believe her, to give in to the hope that she gave me.
But she was still engaged, and it was a constant reminder of the walls that we had built between us.
“We’re just friends now Margo.” My voice shook, I knew I was lying through my teeth.
“Fuck the pact.” She said, breathless.
Margo pulled me down, her lips enveloped on top of mine.
She groaned, as I gave into the kiss. Her lips were soft and urgent, tasting of salt from her tears.
This was home.
Margo grabbed on to my jacket, as she pulled me closer, the kiss felt more longing and desperate. It was like a silent plea for the connection that we tried to suppress, that we both ached for.
I felt her heart race, every fiber of my being screamed to pull her closer, to never let her go. The world around us faded, and all that remained was the warmth of her body against mine and the electrifying sensation of our lips moving in perfect harmony.
“Margo, don’t.” I warned as I pulled away.
She looked at me with hurt filled eyes.
“I’ve been very good with keeping my hands to myself from you, resisting you in every way. If you kiss me again…” I paused.
“If I kiss you again, then what?” She asked.
“If you kiss me again, I don’t want to hear you begging for me to stop.” I said plainly as she stood there.
She pulled away for a second before she clutched my jacket back and pulled me in ever deeper into another kiss.
She was making ups for all the lost time, all the desires she’s had for me, all the bottled-up emotions.
“I warned you.” I groan against her lips as I felt her lips curve.
“I don’t care.” She said breathlessly.
My hand moved to her waist, drawing her nearer until there was no space left between us. The kiss grew more passionate, more intense, as if it were our only way to express the myriad of emotions that words could never capture.
At that moment, nothing else mattered. Not her engagement, not the pact we had made, not the chaos that had ensued. All that existed was the undeniable connection that neither of us could deny.
Her breath hitched as we finally pulled apart, our foreheads resting against each other. Our eyes locked, and in that shared gaze, I saw the same hope, fear, and love that mirrored my own. For a brief moment, the impossible seemed within reach, and the barriers that had once seemed insurmountable began to crumble.
I threw her on the bed, as she started to back away from me, I pulled her legs towards my face as I got on my knees.
“Be gentle––,” She whispered as I laughed cooly.
“Me thinking about how Ben has touched you, is not going to get you a gentle fuck, Raine.” I scolded before I slapped her thigh.
I kissed her thigh before I slapped it again, my hand wandered around and felt her panties, soaked.
She shivered around my touch as I looked back up at her ecstasy filled face.
I inserted two fingers in her, as her eyes rolled to the back of her head. I brought my face closer to hers, licking and sucking on her neck as she moaned.
“I miss you so much, Raine. I miss how wet you got for me… your moans.” I whispered as she bit her bottom lip.
I felt her constrict; her face contorted to a bit of pain, I paused.
“Why are you so sensitive?” I asked seriously as she opened her eyes and met mine.
“Ben and I have never––” She started, her face turned red.
“You two haven’t done anything?” I asked with disbelief as she nodded.
“But that would mean the last time you had done anything with anyone… was with me?” I asked her.
Margo swallowed, then nodded.
That just got me hornier than ever.
“Oh baby… you just earned yourself an even rougher night.” I muttered by her ear as she sighed in relief.
I pulled her back into a kiss, my fingers started up again and fingered her slowly. My thumb found her clit, I slowly rubbed until she bucked her hips towards my thumb.
“Good girl, just like that.” I whispered as she felt moving her hips.
My other hand didn’t waste a second before I ripped her clothes off of her, she fumbled with my zipper, opened buttons and ripping off fabric that was too hard to take off properly.
“Fuck.” I growled; my nostrils flared as my eyes took in and drank Margo’s naked body.
As I looked at her, all of my progress of trying to get over her had gone back to zero percent.
Margo didn’t resist; I pushed her legs further apart. I took it all in, she was beautiful. I licked along her slit which made her pull back. I wanted to taste every inch of her. I wanted to make her come so hard tonight that she’d squirt all over the comforter.
I pulled away for a second, grabbed a towel for my closet and walked back slowly to her frail looking body. She looked horrified, but not because of me but because she was letting her guard down once more.
Margo moaned and tugged at my hair, if only she knew that even if I hadn’t been with her like this in months. Every single night I would imagine this in my dreams.
I curled my fingers around her clit. I teased it with my tongue, licked and sucked. I twirled my tongue around her folds, her clit peeked out even more as I played with her.
I looked up at Margo, her eyes were closed, her chest was heaving heavily.
“Raine, keep your eyes on me as my tongue fucks you.”
Margo opened her eyes, her face form a hue of red.
I used my pointer and middle finger to separate her folds and blew cold air. Her arousal glistened as she whimpered.
“Liam please…” She begged as I dove back in.
I stroked the tip of my tongue along her lips, I gently parted them and swirled around her clit before I moved back down inside her.
Margo’s mouth was open in disbelief, her eyes rolled to the back of her head. She began to close her legs but it only took a small nudge for her to part her legs further, and revealed more of herself.
I bent down further, my tongue dipped inside her. She was so wet that it was the only thing that I could feel on my tongue. I brushed over her tight opening; my tongue had circled along her opening.
Fuck I wished that I was back inside her.
“Please––,” She whimpered as her fingered played with her nipples.
It only took one look of Margo doing that, for me to pull her down on my face, burying her pussy into my mouth. I sucked her clit, as she cried out in surprise and full of pleasure.
I ate her out messily, smeared all of her juices all over my cheeks and my chin. She buried herself deeper into the covers as she moaned loudly.
I couldn’t decipher anything that she was saying only that she was enjoying herself.
She wasn’t just wet, but she was soaked, she coated my whole mouth as I fingered her.
Her thighs tensed up, her pussy clenched and her face had contorted like she was being sent to the heavens.
There was a long groan that escaped her parted lips. I griped her ass, my finger dug in as I pressed her pussy against my mouth.
Margo shuddered, her eyes were rolled, and her nails had scratched my scalp. I groaned and shoved my tongue into her tight opening, I eagerly lapped along her arousal, and I fucked her with my fingers, curled.
“I can’t––,” She started to pull away as she pulled me up to kiss me.
“Can’t what?” I asked as she breathed like there was an elephant on top of her chest.
My chin and my mouth were covered in her lust. She licked her lips; her expression had turned stunned and embarrassed.
“Raine, we should stop.” I paused, suddenly remembering that she had a ring on her finger.
“Liam, no.” She pulled me closer, “Please I just want you.”
“Margo.” I looked at her as a tear fell from her eye.
“Please. Forget about the ring,” She looked at me before she pulled the ring off and place it on my nightstand.
Margo’s hand had fiddled with my waist band, she pushed it down as my dick had sprung up. She tensed as she lined her opening up with my cock.
My head had knocked down to the nape on her neck as I held myself up over her.
Despite how tight Margo was, she was dripping wet, that I slipped in easily. I looked down at my cock as it parted her. She opened her mouth to moan, then bit down to my shoulder.
Which turned me on even more.
“So, fucking tight,” I said with a bit of a grin, “Nobody’s touched you like this since me.” I whispered.
“Nobody ever will.” She whispered. Her eyes conveyed happiness. I wasn’t really familiar with the look until I noticed it was the same one, I had only given her.
“I love you, Raine.” I confessed as she smiled then kissed me.
