8. Chapter Six

CHAPTER SIX

BETSY

S he watched as the knife barely missed her toe and stuck into the hardwood floor. Shit. That was close to cutting her toe off.

Hands went under her armpits, hoisting her up. Her legs wrapped around his waist, still staring off into space.

She almost cut her toe off.

“You are banned from touching anything sharp,” Daddy informed her. “If you want to use anything that is sharp, you come straight to Daddy and he will take care of it.”

Betsy’s head turned, staring at where the knife was still in the ground. She could have seriously hurt herself.

“If I ever find you holding a sharp object, your bottom is going to be toast. Do you understand?”

She didn’t respond though and kept looking at where the knife was in the ground. She knew her hand was sweaty and shaking, but she didn’t think it was that bad.

“Betsy?”

“Shock,” she heard Angelo say. “Go easy on her. She almost cut her toe off. Maybe even two.”

Two toes. How would she have been able to walk to get lunch? Or walk to get Mikey off of her bed and hug him? She wouldn’t have been able to.

“Take care of her. If anything happens, call me,” Angelo said.

Daddy walked out of the kitchen, but she kept her gaze towards it. Was he going to leave the knife in the ground? Was he going to frame it and let her know this was what happened when she didn't think things through?

“Be a good girl for Daddy. Don’t give him too many heart attacks and listen to him about not touching anything sharp. I don’t want to stitch up another Little,” Angelo said as he waved at her. “I’ll see you guys later.”

Stitch up another Little? How many people had he stitched up for him to say that? How had the other person get hurt to need stitches?

“You’re okay. You didn’t hurt yourself,” Daddy said as he sat down.

Betsy looked at him and pushed off of his chest, but his arms tightened around her.

“I need to leave.”

“You aren’t leaving. I already told you that.”

Tears once again ran down her face as she got overwhelmed. Why couldn’t he just let her leave?

“I have a life.”

“Hacking?” He raised an eyebrow.

“So what if it is just a life of hacking. I’m making a life for myself.”

“You can do that here where I can supervise you.”

She scoffed. “I don’t need supervision. You wouldn't understand what I’m talking about.”

Daddy grabbed her chin with his fingers. “I’m a hacker, did you forget? A better hacker than you.”

She shook her head slightly, his fingers still on her chin.

“I’m De Luca, Rogan’s famous hacker.”

Betsy closed her eyes, trying so hard not to laugh. De Luca was a legend and Daddy didn’t seem like he was the person.

“No,” she mumbled.

Daddy placed her on the ground and stood up, quickly grabbed her hand and led her to who knows where. She tugged on his hand several times, trying to get out of his hold. This was a good time for her to try and escape if she could get her hand out of his.

“Baby, I’m not letting go. Might as well stop before you hurt yourself.”

Daddy led her into a small room set up with several computer monitors. What was this place? He powered on one of the computers and De Luca came up as the background of the computer.

“Do you want to see some of the things I can do to show you?” he asked as he grabbed his wallet that was sitting on the table. “Here is my drivers license.”

Kirk De Luca.

“Do I need to convince you more?” he asked. “I did bypass all of your security measures you had on your computer with just a couple clicks on the keyboard.”

She shook her head. She remembered seeing him take over her mouse and let her chase it down while he looked at things on her computer.

“I still need to leave,” she whispered. “This changes nothing. I’m in awe that I’m finally meeting De Luca, you, but I need to go.”

“You can’t. I have this fascination with you, this protectiveness. You have done something to my boss’s Little. If I let you go and he finds out, you will feel his wrath but with me I will give you protection.”

“I’ll leave the state.”

“That won’t stop him. He’s Rogan Ricci. He has connections everywhere.”

“No,” she whispered, taking a step back.

She remembered him telling her he worked for Rogan Ricci, but it hadn’t really stuck with her. She knew he was dangerous, but she forgot how big and dangerous he was.

“Do you want me to call him? I have him on speed dial.”

“No,” she shook her head, trying to take another step away, but his hand tightened around hers, keeping her in place. “Please.”

“I won’t call him, but you are staying here.”

“I’m sorry. I promise I didn’t mean anything by it. I won’t do it again.”

He stared at her, not saying anything. Why wasn’t he saying anything? Was he going to give her away to Rogan Ricci for him to do whatever he wanted with her? She had heard some chatter about how ruthless he was.

“If I could go back in time, I wouldn’t have done it. You have to believe me. I wasn’t doing anything bad. Just rearranging some things. Harmless things really.” she was rambling at this point, trying to get him to let go of her hand and let her leave his apartment.

Right as she was about to take another step back, Daddy gripped her chin.

“This is why you look into things before taking a job or doing anything.”

“I know that now! I promise I really do and I will look into whoever it is I'm going to do something, even if it’s a harmless thing.”

She was going to learn from her mistakes, she had to. If Betsy made it out alive, she was going to look into everyone and anything she was about to do. She couldn’t land herself in this situation again.

But that was all if she made it out alive. What if Rogan found out and Daddy wasn’t able to save her?

“You aren’t going to do anymore hacking because you are bored. The only hacking you will do is for your job, when people contact you. And when that happens, you are going to do your research and come to me and present it.”

Her mouth hung open.

“If I feel like you’ve done enough research, you can do the work but if I feel like you haven’t, then you are going to do some more. If you find out it’s very dangerous and you have any slight doubt, you are to tell Daddy right away. I’ll decide if you do the job or not.”

“You can’t do that!” she yelled.

“Yes, I can. I’m doing it right now. If I find out you have done a job without doing research, bringing me what you found, or not getting my approval if you can do it or not, you will find yourself over my lap with a hot bottom.”

Her free hand reached behind, covering her bottom.

“No!”

“Yes and that’s the end of the discussion. Do anything without my permission related to hacking and find out the consequences.”
