26. Chapter Twenty-Four
CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR
BETSY
“ I think Mike needs a friend,” Daddy said.
She skipped as she held Daddy’s hand. “Mikey does need a friend! I bet he gets so lonely when I’m not there with him. Like right now. Do you think he’s crying on my bed?”
“I think he’s being very brave until you come home to him but I know Mikey will be so excited when we bring him a friend or two.”
“One or two friends?” She asked, all excited. “So I can get two?”
“Yes, baby you can get two. Unless you just want one.”
“Nope! You can’t take it back. You said two so I am going to get two.”
She was so excited. They had grabbed a couple onesies for her, another pacifier, a bottle, and a sippy cup. She didn’t think she needed all of it, but Daddy wanted her to have it.
Now they were going to the stuffed animal aisle and she was so excited.
“Do you think they have other velociraptors?” She asked.
“I think they do. I know Bonnie got a couple stuffed animals that were dinosaurs. So I bet they will have some,” Daddy replied.
She hoped so. She didn’t want any other stuffed animal. Velociraptors were her favorite and Mikey needed to know he wasn’t alone.
“Stay in my line of sight. If you don’t, your bottom will be spanked.”
“Okay!”
Daddy let go of her hand and she rushed down the aisle, looking for the velociraptors.
“Come on,” she whispered. “You have to be here somewhere.”
But the more she looked, the more she couldn’t find them.
“Daddy. I don’t think they have any.”
“They are right here,” Daddy pointed.
He was a couple feet down from where she was standing. Skipping over, she looked at all the different colors. Mikey was blue. Maybe he could have a twin, but she didn’t know if he would like that.
“Better be safe,” she said.
“Be safe for what?” Daddy asked.
“Not get another blue one. I don’t know if Mikey will want a twin. So better be safe and get a different color so he doesn’t feel like he is getting replaced. That is the last thing I want to do to Mikey. We’ve been through so much together.”
So much. He had seen some pretty horrific things since she had gotten him. Things she wished he hadn’t seen but it was life. She couldn’t hide him from everything.
“Well, which ones do you think you are going to get?”
“I think the green one since green is my favorite color. But don’t tell Mikey. He gets a little sad when he remembers my favorite color is green and not blue.”
Daddy knelt down right next to her. “I promise I won’t tell Mikey. It’s our secret.”
She giggled and picked up the green one. But her shoulders sagged.
“What’s wrong?” Daddy asked.
“I just, what if I show favoritism? Maybe I should just stick with Mikey.”
“Baby, you won’t. I promise you won’t. You are going to love all three of them the same.”
“Are you sure?” she whispered, looking at Daddy.
The thought of loving one more than the others would kill her. To make the other stuffed animals feel left out.
“I know they don’t actually have feelings and can’t actually talk to me, but they just feel so real. I don’t want to hurt any of them.”
“You aren’t. I’m one hundred percent sure that you are going to treat all of them the same. That you are going to love all of them the same.”
She looked back at the stuffed animals and picked out a purple one.
“Okay,” she whispered.
“Lets go around the corner to see if they have any others, just in case,” Daddy stood to his full height.
She grabbed his hand, keeping both of the stuffed animals in her left arm as they walked around the corner. Stopping in her tracks, she stared at the glass.
“Daddy.”
“Yes, baby.”
“Look!” she let go of his hand and pointed. “Can we go there? Please! Oh please can we play in there?”
It was a room that had balls and a slide in there. She wanted to go down the slide and into the balls. Maybe she could even take her new friends with her and come back with Mikey so he could experience it.
“Oh please, Daddy.”
“Not this time. Maybe another time. Right now, we need to go pay for our stuff so we can get home before our guests do.”
She stilled and looked at Daddy.
“Guests?”
Betsy didn’t like the thought of having people over. What if she didn’t get along with them? What if she made a fool out of herself and made Daddy embarrassed? She figured they were her Daddy’s friends which worried her even more. She needed to make a good impression.
“Yes, baby. Guests.”
“W-who?”
“My boss, his two Littles, and another couple.”
Nerves ran through her body. His boss.
His. Boss.
“The girl I hacked into?” Betsy whispered, afraid of the answer he was going to give.
“Yes, baby.”
She shook her head. “You can just leave me here so I don’t have to face the girl. I promise I’ll be good while you are having dinner with them. I won’t give anyone problems here.”
There was no way she was going to meet the person she hacked into. Not when her Daddy was also going to be there. Would she get into trouble? Would he threaten to kill her?
“Yeah, nope. I can’t do it. Sorry, but I’ll be staying here until they leave. Then you can come pick me up or I can take a taxi to your apartment building,” she suggested.
Betsy could definitely take a taxi back to the house. There was so much to look around the store to keep her occupied for that long.
"I bet Sabastian would let me stay here. I won't bother him or be naughty. Promise."
Was that a tall order? Yes, but she was desperate. She didn't want to meet all those people.
They were people Daddy knew really well and she didn't want to disappoint him. Maybe she could never meet them.
Betsy would love that.
"Betsy," Daddy gently said.
"I just don't think I can meet them. I'm not trying to be rude, but what if they hate me? What if they find out that I am a hacker? I mean, what am I saying? Bonnie already knows I hacked into her website. I don't need this," Betsy rambled. "I don't need this stress. I don't need them to hate me. What if they do? What if they hate me so much and you get rid of me? What am I going to do then?"
She took a deep breath and looked everywhere but Daddy. What if he was realizing she was true in everything she said?
"We got rid of my apartment and they are hard to come by. I don't have enough money to rent another apartment. Maybe Sabastian would help me, but I don't want to bother him. I don't want to bother anyone."
Her breathing picked up as she thought about this. If Daddy did get rid of her, what was she going to do? She had some money saved up, but she also didn't have an apartment. She would be homeless for several months while she tried to find something but also work.
Betsy wouldn't have reliable internet and she could get caught easier. Everything was going down the drain right in front of her.
Tears pooled in her eyes as she paced back and forth.
"Daddy, I really can't do this. Maybe you can postpone it and continue to postpone it so I never have to meet them," she whispered. "I just don't think I can."
Would it look worse if they postponed it? Or would it save her in the long run?
Decisions and so many decisions. Betsy didn't want to make decisions anymore. She wanted someone else to, but she was worried.
"Betsy."
"I want you to make all the decisions, but this, this I don't know. I don't think I can. Wait. I know I can't. I can't disappoint you. I can't meet them and have them hate me. I can't do this. Daddy, you have to let me stay here."
Before she knew it, arms wrapped around her and held her tight.
"You're okay. Take a deep breath for Daddy."
"Daddy," she whined.
"Ah, that's not what Daddy said. I said to take a deep breath. Such a good girl for following Daddy's order."
Her arms wrapped around him, squeezing. He was calming her nerves but she could still feel her mind going one hundred miles an hour trying to think of things.
"I don't know Daddy," she whispered. "I know I've said it a lot, but I just don't think I can do this."
Daddy let go of her, making her whine.
"Nooooo."
"I'm right here. You can hold onto my shirt but I want to be able to look at you."
Daddy knelt down in front of her so they were on eye level. It made her feel more on his level and focus on him.
He knew what he was doing.
"Daddy," she mumbled, not liking how intense his stare was.
"I need you to look at me while I say this."
She moved on her feet, not wanting to.
"Betsy."
Letting out a sigh, she looked at Daddy.
"You will not be a disappointment. You will not disappoint me. I promise. Do you trust Daddy?" he asked.
"I do."
It wasn't easy for Betsy to trust people, but Daddy had done nothing for her not to trust him.
"Daddy would not put you in a bad situation knowingly."
"I'm just worried."
"And being worried is okay to some degree. It can be healthy, but dwelling on it too much is not okay."
Betsy knew that. But it was harder to stop than it was to start. She couldn't count how many times she had worked herself up from worrying about something.
That was another reason why she didn't do much with people. If she didn't then she wouldn't get anxious and worry.
"It's hard."
"I know it's hard and Daddy is going to help you. I want you to lean on me when you get anxious. We are going to find some things that can help sooth you when you do get worried."
"Like what?"
"A pacifier, being wrapped up in a blanket, having me inside of you, a ring you can twist, or putting on a certain pair of clothes."
She was intrigued by all but specifically being wrapped up in a blanket and having him inside of her.
"We can try all of them and then you can tell me which one worked the best. And if none of them work then we will think about other things that might. But we will find something that can help."
Tears pooled in her eyes once again causing her to blink so they wouldn't fall.
"I know it's a lot, but you are doing amazing," he whispered, cupping her face. "I am so proud of you."
"Will they like me?" she whispered.
If Betsy could think of one thing she was most worried about, it was if they would like her and if Bonnie was going to be mad at her.
"Is Bonnie going to hate me because of what I did?" she asked before Daddy could say anything.
"Bonnie does not hate you. She already forgave you and she actually begged me not to hurt you in the beginning. She didn't want any harm to come to you," Daddy explained. "And as for them liking you, I know Bonnie and Storm are going to love you. Rogan, Raynar, and Miles may take a little to warm up to, but they do that with everyone so don't take offense. Rogan didn't like Storm in the beginning."
It made her feel a little better, but she also didn't feel better at all.
"Is there anything I can do to make them like me?" she asked.
"What is this about?"
She sucked in a deep breath.
"Betsy."
"I don't want them to hate me and then not like you. I don't want them to make you pick. I don't want to embarrass or disappoint you."
Daddy's thumb started to run against her cheek as he continued to hold her. It was a genuine fear of hers. What if she did? Would Daddy not like her? Would he give her a warning?
"Baby. You are not going to embarrass me in front of them. Just act like yourself. You are not going to disappoint me in front of them. I promise. I pinky promise."
"You sure?"
"I'm one hundred percent sure, baby."
She sighed and leaned into his embrace, making him let go of her face. She just wanted to feel his arms wrap around her, feeling safe and secure.
"I've got you," he mumbled. "I've got you and I'm not letting go."
Betsy's shoulders slowly drew down as he continued to hold her. It was amazing how much a hug from him could make her be more calm.
She wondered if him being inside of her as he did things, work things, if that would help her. Would it? or would it turn her on and it be absolute torture?
"How about we go pay for the stuff now."
"Okay," she mumbled.
Betsy did not want to let go of him. She wanted to continue to feel his arms wrapped around her. She wanted to have some part connected to him.
Daddy let go of her and stood to his full height, grabbing her hand and the basket, before they made their way to the front.
"Found everything you needed?" Sabastian asked, looking over at Betsy. Concern flew across his face. "Is everything okay?"
"Everything is alright. She just got worried about some things but everything is good."
She gripped onto his hand a bit tighter.
"I'm sorry, but I would like to hear it from Betsy. No offense, but I just need to hear it from her."
"I'm okay," she whispered.
No doubt Sabastian was going to tell Joanathan, well Dimitri, about what had happened today. Would she hear from Dimitri when he heard about everything or would he continue to keep to himself?
"Good. If that changes, you know where to find me. Here's a piece of paper with my phone number on it in case."
"No," Daddy said.
"I know you are going to take care of her, trust me I know. But I want her to know that if you are gone, that I am here for her. I'm not going to steal her, trust me. I've got my eye on someone already."
"Who?" Betsy asked.
When Dimitri, Sabastian, and her had hung out, he never talked about being interested in someone. Sabastian had even gone as far to say he wasn't looking for anyone.
"That is for me to know and for you to find out much later," Sabastian winked.
"No fair," she pouted.
"Nothing is solid and I don't want to scare her off."
"Betsy, no pouting," Daddy tapped her bottom.
Sabastian started to scan the items they had.
"Find everything you need?" Sabastian asked.
"Yes, we did. We will be back though. We might rent out the little play area in the back for Betsy and some other Littles," Daddy paid for the items.
"Good. You can either call to reserve a spot or you can go on our website and do so. Either way is fine."
"Thank you."
"You two have a wonderful day."
"Say hi to Dimitri for me," Betsy waved.
Daddy and her walked out to the car, him helping her get in and buckle her up.
"I don't know if I want to do this," she whispered as Daddy got in the car.
"Tough, we are doing it. They are going to arrive in twenty minutes."
Shit. How was she going to survive this?
