Chapter Fifty-One

September 4, 2022

Dear Jensen,

It’s been two full months and no word from you…yet.

Good thing I’m patient…kind of. I would say I’m patient for you and for you alone. We both know patience has never been never my strong suit, but I have waited years for you to realize your mistakes. What does one more year matter?

On to happier subjects, I heard from Wyhtt briefly. He seemed good, said he met someone in town. She works at the nail salon. Apparently he’s going in weekly for manicures until he’s brave enough to ask her out. I hope you and Grayson give him hell for that. He couldn’t chat for long but was calling to check in on me before heading out on their first date. It was cute hearing him so excited. Have you met her? Is she good enough for our boy?

I won’t lie. I did try to question him about you. To my dismay, his only response was a curse under his breath, along with mutterings about always cleaning up your messes. Seems I’m not the only one you’re freezing out. I told him not to be mad at you, and he was eerily quiet at my request. I hope you are okay.

Next letter in October.

With all my love,

Your Serenity
