Chapter Fifty-Eight

April 4, 2023

Dear Jensen,

All I want is to hear you knocking at my door, Kodaline’s lyrics have been playing on repeat in my head for days, only for me to come to the sad realization you have no idea where I live. You know very little of the person I have become over the years. You only know of the hopelessly in love teenage girl I once was along with hints of what my life was like back in July.

So here are ten facts about me you may have never known:

1) Planes make me nervous. I would have never gotten on one if it wouldn’t have had you waiting at the other end.

2) I have a rescue dog. He is a mutt, but when I first saw him two years ago at an event in the park I knew he was meant to be mine. I named him after Wyhtt, but don’t tell him that.

3) I’ve never tried sushi.

4) I have an English degree, with a minor in creative writing.

5) My best friend’s name is Alyssa. She also works in the publishing industry as a freelance PA for indie authors. We also live together.

6) I ran a marathon in Nashville last year.

7) My car broke down last week. I almost had to get a new one, but luckily Alyssa’s brother had taught her a few things over the years. Her family runs a garage. Which meant we were bad ass women, and we fixed the car ourselves! You would have been proud.

8) One of my favorite things about Nashville is a little antique bookshop that has recently added a coffee bar. It’s peaceful. The large windows always allow natural light in to feed all the greenery. They nestled a small coffee cafe in the back. You would never even know it was there if you weren’t searching for it. When the city is busy, it’s the one place you can find me if I need a moment of serenity for myself.

9) I have been saving up for years to eventually open a publishing house of my own. To write my own stories, to bring emotion to my readers.

10) My address is 74th street, Apartment 32B, Nashville, TN 37208. In case for some insane reason that was the only thing stopping you from finding me.

Next letter in May.

With all my love,

Your Serenity
