Aespians (ay-spee-ans): An insectoid, bipedal species with a chitinous hide that covers most of the body and long legs that bend much more prominently than humans. Aespians have vestigial translucent wings and large, prominent eyes, thin noses, and antennae-like protrusions on their foreheads.
Ankites (an-kites): A humanoid changeling-like species that can alter their features to look similar to other alien races. When not catering their appearance to look more appealing/welcoming to other alien races, their forms are more amorphous, with less defined features. They can’t change their limb configurations or skin shade. They are typically slender and tall, though they can become more or less curvaceous or angular as desired. Ankites don’t have hair, but can make a facsimile of it that looks like tentacles or a solid drape coming from their head.
Coalition: The main human governing force formed from the various human colonies and starships.
Cycle: One full day. On Spire, the artificial environmental systems create a day-night cycle that lasts 26 galactic standard hours.

Nexxit (neck-sit): A humanoid species that has four arms. Their skin ranges from dark pink to light pink skin. Nexxit tend to have black hair, large dark eyes, thin noses, and pointed ears that rest flat against their heads. Most nexxit have a slight build and they are shorter than humans.
Saelit (say-lit): The glowing markings that form naturally on a seladin’s skin.
Seladin (cell-ah-din): A humanoid species characterized by their dark gray or midnight blue skin, glowing pupilless eyes, and luminescent skin markings. They have long pointed ears, angular facial features, and sharp, fanged teeth. Typically, they have white or gray hair and brow ridges with skin markings instead of eyebrows. Their bodies are tall and broad shouldered, with long arms and digitigrade legs.
Shikzeth (shik-zeth): A humanoid species with volcanic, magma-colored skin under rougher slate-colored outer skin/plating. They are typically broad and muscular, with large, blunt features and narrow eyes. They have horns and either no hair or coarse red, black, or orange hair. Some Shikzeth wear a breathing apparatus to allow them to breathe oxygen, however most that leave their homeworld have respiratory implants.
