Chapter 15
The sun rose, and my internal clock woke up with it.
I was scheduled to work today, but not until nine.
I turned on my side, and Jabari was still asleep beside me.
I smiled at how handsome he looked, even in his sleep.
It was still early, so I knew he wouldn’t be waking up anytime soon.
I quietly got up from the bed, grabbed my robe, and headed to check on JaBria.
I peeped my head into the room, and she was still sound asleep.
She was sprawled all over the bed, and the covers were damn near on the floor.
I softly shut the door and headed to my bathroom to shower and start getting ready for work.
Once I got the shower temperature to how I like it, I stepped inside. The hot water against my skin felt amazing until the shower door opened out of nowhere, causing the cool air to pierce my skin. I yelped.
“Sorry, sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you,” Jabari said.
I looked him up and down and noticed he was naked. I bit my lip as my eyes zoned in on his harden wood.
“Are you getting in?” I asked.
“Damn right, I am.”
Jabari got in with me, and I was thankful for the size of my shower.
“Damn! What are you trying to do, cook your skin?” he asked, slightly adjusting the temperature of the water.
“Ha! You’re so funny. I can’t help it. I like my water scorching hot.”
“That cannot be safe.”
“Oh, hush,” I playfully voiced, slapping his chest.
When I went to remove my hand, Jabari grabbed it. He looked into my eyes as he placed soft kisses on each of my fingertips before placing a kiss on the top of my hand.
“It’s something about you that got me doing shit I ain’t ever done before. You put a spell on me?”
I giggled. “No. I’m just being me.”
“Hmm, it must be that Cancer spell that all the Cancers put on motherfuckers. First taste of a Cancer and you’re hooked.”
“Boy, who said that? I ain’t ever heard that.”
“Shit... I’m walking proof.”
Before I could respond, Jabari slammed his lips onto mine, damn near knocking the wind out of me.
He pushed my body against the shower wall and lifted my leg, wrapping it around his waist. The kiss intensified, and so did Jabari’s grip on me all over my ass.
He lined himself up at my entrance and paused.
He pulled away from kissing me. Even though the shower had steam, I felt cold once our lips disconnected.
“You cool with this?” he asked.
“With what?” I asked, confused, waiting for him to finish what he started.
“I don’t have protection on right now. I can go get it...”
I reached down and softly placed Jabari’s manhood in my hand and rubbed it against my folds.
“I’m cool with it.”
Without even a second thought, Jabari entered me. My back arched off the wall, and my inner walls adjusted to him. I could feel every skin detail of his dick inside me.
“Shit,” he moaned in my ear.
“Fuck me, Jabari,” I moaned.
Jabari didn’t hesitate. He worked my body as if he were trying to prove a point.
I didn’t care if my hair got wet or if my back would bruise from pressing against the shower wall too hard.
Jabari’s dick was too good to be distracted by anything other than that.
He continued pumping inside of me, and I knew I was on the brink of cumming.
“Don’t hold that shit in. Cum for me, baby.”
On command, I came, and Jabari pulled out of me and let his cum mix in with the water going down the drain. He looked at me through exhausted eyes.
“Damn, girl.”
I bit my lip. “What?”
“I told you. It’s that Cancer spell.”
By the time I finished getting ready for work, Jabari and JaBria were in the living room waiting for me to finish. JaBria had woken up for a second but went back to sleep.
“You must’ve given her a sleepy gummy or something because baby girl is exhausted.”
He shrugged. “Maybe. Maybe not.”
I laughed as I walked to the kitchen to pack my lunch bag. I was on cloud nine. After last night and this morning, I felt myself more than ever. I hummed as I maneuvered around the kitchen. Out of nowhere, Jabari came behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist. He kissed my neck.
“Damn, somebody’s got a pep in their step.”
“Hmm, I wonder why.” I giggled as he continued to kiss along my neck. “Stop, Jabari. I’m going to be late for work.”
“I just can’t get enough of you, Amina.”
I turned around and faced him. “Enough of me or enough of her?” I patted my honeypot.
His face went stiff, and the mood had changed. He stepped away from me.
“What?” I asked with a nervous chuckle.
“You really think that?”
“Jabari—”
He held his hand up to cut me off. “You really think all I want from you is because of what is between your legs? Damn, I must not be doing what the fuck I’m supposed to do so you don’t think that.”
“No. It’s not like that. I was just kidding.”
Jabari shook his head. “Don’t play like that.
I want you to know something. I’m feeling you bad.
Outside of all that other shit, you’re something special.
You light up the room when you walk in that motherfucker.
You just need to know that. Once you realize that you’re the shit, and you realize you have more to offer than what you think, shit for you will be a lot easier. ”
He reached for my hand and kissed it.
“You need to know I see you. I see all of you, and I’m feeling you because of that. There’s no other reason. Don’t ever play like that with me tho’. I’ll keep this dick from you ’til you learn your lesson.”
I laughed. “I got you.”
“Now, give me a kiss so I can get you to work before I make you call out.”
I grinned like a silly schoolgirl but did as I was told. He slapped my butt and wrapped me in his arms.
“I’ll see you tonight. Do you want me over here, or do you want to come over?”
“It doesn’t matter.”
“I’ll be here tonight. Your bed is comfortable as fuck. I see why you missed that shit.”
I laughed. “Alright. I’ll see you tonight.”
He kissed me and went to grab JaBria off the couch. I waited at the door for them, and he kissed me again.
“Hmm… can’t get enough of your sweet kisses. See you later, baby.”
“See ya.”
I waited ’til the two of them got in the car and drove away before I shut the door. I squealed and jumped at how Jabari had me feeling. I didn’t know why this man had been sent to me, but I was thankful he was.
I hummed as I did my rounds. My vibe was on cloud ten, and I was feeling myself. My morning had started amazingly, and my shift had followed the same pattern, which meant my night was going to be even better, especially when I ended it in Jabari’s arms.
I was on my way to the break room to retrieve my lunch when I walked by a patient’s room.
I could see that the call light was on, and it had not been addressed yet.
I softly knocked and announced that I was walking in.
When I walked into the room, an older gentleman was lying on the table, throwing up in a bag.
He looked at me, and his eyes showed exhaustion.
I quickly ran, gloved up, and went to assess the situation.
“Hi, sir. I’m Nurse Amina. How long have you been throwing up?”
He shrugged.
“Okay, sir. Lie back. I’m going to get you some fluids going and try to control the vomiting,” I instructed.
All he could do was nod.
“I’ll be right back.”
I quickly dashed down the hall to the supply closet and grabbed everything I needed before rushing back to the room. By the time I got there, Patrick was back in the room. He looked at me, confused as to why I was there.
“Is this your patient?” I asked.
“Yes, and what do you think you’re doing?”
My eyes bugged. “What do you mean? His call light was on, so I checked on him and found him throwing up. I went and grabbed fluids and meds to help him out.”
He scoffed. “Amina, this is my patient you should’ve come and gotten me.” Patrick took the supplies out of my hand. “I know how to do my job. That’s why I’m in charge. He’s fine. He just needs a bit of water.”
I was speechless. I couldn’t believe this was happening.
“You know, sometimes all it takes is just a bit of communication, and you would’ve known that. Now, if you don’t mind, let me get back to my patient, and we can continue this conversation later.”
I didn’t respond. Instead, I turned on my heels and headed to the break room.
I opened my locker and placed my personal items in my back pocket.
In that moment, I knew Patrick was going to try to reprimand me once he left the patient’s room and came to have a talk with me.
However, I knew I had done nothing wrong, and I would no longer tolerate the attacks and micromanaging behavior from Patrick.
This was a new Amina, and the new Amina wasn’t putting up with any bullshit.
