Chapter Ten
Marco
While listening to Vince explain everything to Kai Marco had formed a plan.
He figured Kai was feeling leary towards relationships in general after his last ex so it was going to be hard to convince him that Marco truly wanted Kai.
So, why not take care of him while his arm heals?
That way he’d have six weeks to convince Kai that Marco was indeed his dream boyfriend and Daddy.
“What?” Kai was looking up at him in surprise. Penny raised her eyebrows but then smiled mischievously.
“That’s perfect!” she announced. Kai turned his shocked expression on her.
“You’re going to be out of work for at least six weeks,” Penny started, “I have to work to help pay the bills, right, I won’t be able to be home all the time to help you bathe, eat, make you food all that. Marco can be at home and is able to take care of you much better that way.”
“Marco has to work too,” Kai announced with a frown.
“I can do most of my work at home. My managers can handle anything while I’m out of the restaurant.”
“Plus,” Penny held up her finger dramatically, “He’s a Daddy. You can be Little around him which might help with having your arm broken and all. A little bit of an escape.”
“Yep, you can be Little all day if you want.” Marco felt a surge of pleasure at being able to take care of Kai and his needs all the time. Kai’s mouth opened and closed at a loss for words.
“I-I-I can’t do any of that. That would be soooo inappropriate!”
“How?” Marco asked.
“You’re my boss!”
“Well, technically, you won’t be able to work for the next six weeks… so… I won’t be your boss for six weeks.”
“Yeah, he’ll be your Daddy for six weeks!” Penny announced. Kai glared at her and Marco tried to suppress his smile. Kai laughed derisively.
“Yeah, right, like that’s what Marco wants.”
“What if I were to tell you that is what I want? That's what I’ve been trying to tell you this whole conversation?” Marco asked. Kai went completely silent and just stared at Marco.
“Penny, honey, can you give us a minute?” Marco asked. Penny nodded and walked out to the hallway.
“There’s no way you want to be my Daddy,” Kai said immediately after the door shut.
“How do you know that? Shouldn’t I be the one to decide that?”
“You barely know me!”
“Let me get to know you. I might be a firm Daddy but I think you’ll decide that I’m a good one. Haven’t had many complaints from the Littles at the club. I was in a relationship with aLittle for a time.”
“I don’t listen very well when I’m in Littlespace.”
“That’s what punishments are for. I’m sure after a good spanking and some time in the corner and you’ll be listening to Daddy in no time.” Kai opened his mouth but Marco decided to do something a little risky. He cupped Kai’s cheeks and leaned forward until he was almost touching Kai’s lips.
“You’re thinking too much, piccolo.” Before Kai could think or say anything else Marco closed the distance between their mouths.

Oh… my… god…
Marco was the best kisser Kai had ever had the pleasure of kissing.
His lips were firm but soft and he applied the perfect amount of pressure.
After a few seconds Marco gently bit Kai’s lip and ran his tongue over the small hurt.
Kai gasped then moaned as Marco’s tongue invaded his mouth.
Marco’s taste and scent were all around him making his brain just stop working, like a light being turned off.
Kai grabbed the front of Marco’s shirt with his good hand and pulled.
More. I need more of his lips.
Marco chuckled then slipped his hand into Kai’s hair and gripped and pulled back slightly.
Moaning, Kai let Marco wreck his mouth. Hot lips, fucking amazing taste.
Kai couldn’t quite place it but it tasted like Christmas.
Apple pies baking, mistletoe hanging in a doorway, devilled eggs, games with the family while the turkey was cooking.
It brought tears to Kai’s eyes. Marco slowly gentled the kiss then pulled back.
Kai was amazed to see that Marco was breathing heavily as well and his dark eyes had darkened even more.
“Fuck, bambino, that was amazing,” Marco rasped. Kai nodded because he couldn’t quite form words yet.
“Say yes. Let me take care of you, let me be your Daddy.” Marco said as the hand in Kai’s hair moved till he was stroking his cheek. Kai couldn’t think of any more reasons why he should say no. For the first time in his life he just responded without thinking.
“Yeah, okay, I’ll let you take care of me and be my Daddy.” Marco smiled widely and gave Kai another kiss.
“For six weeks,” Kai clarified once the kiss ended. Marco’s eyebrows furrowed but he nodded.
“That’ll be fine for now. I’ll show you that we’re meant to be together.”

Marco’s words floated through his head an hour later as Kai was loaded into Marco's car.
Penny had already hopped into the backseat and was buckling herself up happily.
While Marco saw about getting Kai discharged he'd explained to Penny that he was going to be staying at Marco's until his arm healed.
Penny had squealed and gone on a tangent and was planning their wedding by the time Kai got her to quiet down.
She'd always been a bit of a romantic, especially to Kai and his partners.
She'd been convinced he was going to marry each and every one.
Kai hadn't been, though now he wasn't so sure.
There was something different about Marco that had attracted Kai but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
Maybe after his brain wasn't so fuzzy from the shot Vincent had given him.
He'd explained it would only last for a few hours just long enough for them to get some of his things and set up at Marco's house.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Kai looked over at Marco. He was focusing on the road as he navigated them out of the hospital parking lot.
"I'm just bummed that I'll be spending Christmas with a cast on," Kai wasn't lying, per se, just not telling the whole truth. He was bummed that he was going to be spending Christmas in a cast but mostly he didn't want Marco to know that he was the focus of his thoughts.
"Oh, I didn't even think about that! That really sucks!
I hope Officer Barry can find whoever hit us and ran away.
" Penny declared from the back seat. Kai had called Barry and set up a time tomorrow to meet up and explain his side of the story.
He'd have done it today but Barry had explained he was busy with police business.
"Will Kai be able to meet up with me, Amy, Amelia and Ruby to help with the Christmas Party planning?" Penny suddenly asked.
"Why are you asking Marco?" Kai twisted in his seat to glare at his smug sister. Suddenly the car slowed and turned off the road.
"Excuse me, young man, just what do you think you're doing?" Marco asked sternly. Kai quickly twisted back until he was facing forward.
"Nothing."
"Do you want to reword that, little boy?" Kai's face flamed and he looked at Marco's frowning face. "I know we haven't had the rules and expectations talk yet but I do expect you to never lie to me."
"Will you tell me the truth?" Kai challenged.
"Of course," Marco said it so quickly that Kai couldn't help but think he was telling the truth. "Now, do you want to reword that?"
Sighing, Kai nodded and said glumly, "I turned around in my seat to look at Penny."
"Was that a very safe thing to do?"
"I was wearing my seat belt," Kai reasoned, looking up at Marco while fluttering his eyelashes.
"That wouldn't have saved you if we'd gotten in another accident. Another of my expectations and will be a rule is safety first. Once we get to my house and you're settled in I'll explain that further. Right now it means that you'll stay, sitting, in your seat facing forward. Understood?"
"Yes."
"Yes, what?" Kai gulped, they were doing that now?
Face flaming, Kai looked down at his hands and whispered, "Yes, Sir." He knew Penny was a Little just as she knew that Kai was a Little but it was different that just out and out saying 'Daddy' in front of her. Maybe after saying it in private a few times will help him relax.
"Good boy. 'Sir' is fine for now until we discuss rules and our dynamic a bit more." Marco navigated the car back into traffic and Kai just sulked as he looked out the side window.
"That was hot," Penny said cheerily and Marco chuckled while Kai buried his face into his good hand. Of course Penny would say that and make him even more embarrassed. From her giggle she knew what she did as well. Kai shook his head and looked out the car window.
He hoped that having Marco as his Daddy was a good idea and wouldn’t hurt him in the long run. Kai’ll be okay, he will keep his heart safe and when this ends he’d be okay.
