Chapter Fourteen
Kai
"Come on, Daddy! Let's go, you're going so slowly!
We're going to be late!" Kai was bouncing off the walls.
It had been a week since he'd basically moved in with his Daddy and this was the first time he'd been able to see Penny.
They were helping Amelia, Amy, Marshie, Gemma, and Ruby plan the Christmas party.
Christmas was in two weeks and Penny preferred to get things in writing and perfect.
Plus, after they were all having a play date!
Marco would be visiting the restaurant while Kai and his friends played and planned.
He had some paperwork to do that couldn't be done at home as well as a couple interviews.
He'd fired Heather at the beginning of the week cause she'd just not shown up and Marco was tired of her attitude.
He'd told Kai that he needed someone he could actually rely on.
"I'm almost done packing your play bag, baby.
Just be patient a while longer." Daddy's calm voice aggravated Kai.
Especially since he wouldn't allow Kai to help pack the bag.
This past week had been wonderful. Marco was a very attentive Daddy, always making sure Kai had what he needed.
That he was drinking his water, eating regularly, and following his rules.
Kai hadn't wanted to make Marco regret having Kai for a Little so he'd made sure to follow every single one to the letter.
But for some reason today he was feeling really unsettled.
He felt so antsy. Sometimes he wanted to break a rule for no real reason and Kai couldn't explain why he had that urge. He didn't want to be punished.
Did he? Kai sighed raggedly and thumped onto his day bed and crossed his arms as he grumbled.
"Be careful, baby boy, you're getting really close to a tantrum and I don't allow tantrums. You're not gonna like what happens if you do." Marco informed him as he zipped up the small bag.
"I'm not gonna have a tantrum!" Kai frowned, crossed his arms, and glared at his Daddy. His calm voice only aggravated Kai even more.
"Uh-huh, careful, if you keep that face it might get stuck like that forever," Marco tweaked Kai's nose but he just slapped Daddy's hand away and paused as Marco raised an eyebrow.
"You, boy, are getting awfully close to a punishment. If you don't fix your attitude right now then you'll have a hot bottom while your playing with your friends."
Shit, shit, fix this now.
Kai stood up and flung himself at Marco and hugged him.
"I'm sorry, Daddy! I'll be a good boy."
"Hey, you are a good boy. Kai, baby, you know its ok to be naughty from time to time. I'll punish you for it then we'll move on." Kai just nodded but was skeptical. People just didn't move on, they festered and held onto things and would bring them up constantly.
"Okay, Daddy."
"Come on, baby boy, I'm sure Penny is just as anxious to see you as well." Kai released his Daddy and sped toward the front door.
"Slow down! What have I told you about running in the house!" Marco called after him. Kai slid to a stop next to the front door and smiled sheepishly at his Daddy. Marco just shook his head then they were both tucked up in the car and heading toward the club.
"How's your arm? Any pain?"
"No, Daddy. It's not even uncomfortable." Kai looked out the window. It was very cold and the forecast had a chance of snow in the coming weeks. Kai really hoped it did snow as he loved a white Christmas.
"Alright, I'm going to give Derek your pain meds. You'll let him know if you're in pain."
"I won't need them, Daddy." Kai rolled his eyes.
"Don't be sassy, I worry about you when you're not in my view."
"I've been in your view for the last week."
"Exactly this is the first time you won't be with me. I can't help but be worried about you." Kai didn't say anything but he smiled inside. He loved when Daddy worried about him. It made him think Marco really did care about him.
"We're here. Don't touch that door." Kai folded his arms and rolled his eyes when Marco couldn't see. He hopped out of the car and tried to walk toward the club but Daddy grabbed his arm.
"Little boy," Daddy said in exasperation, "What is the rule when we're out of the car?"
"Keep hold of your hand," Kai sighed, irritably but he let Marco hold the hand that wasn't in a cast. "I'm not gonna fall or disappear, Daddy."
"Maybe, but I can't take that risk. You're a precious boy." Kai fell silent but he was blushing and trying not to smile.
"Kai!!" Kai let go of Daddy's hand and flung himself at his sister who was running to him as well.
"No running!" barked Landon but Penny just ignored him.
Kai was both surprised and not surprised to see Landon.
It seemed like that man was showing up at the Imagination Room anytime Penny was there.
Kai thought he should be worried about him stalking his sister but didn't think that it was a bad thing.
Landon obviously was in love with her and Kai hoped Penny saw it soon.
She deserved someone who would worship the ground she walked on.
"I'm so glad you're here!" Penny exclaimed then glared at Marco. "I thought for sure your jailer would keep you away from this party."
"Penny," Derek said with a frown, "That was rude. Apologize to Mister Marco."
"But--"
"As long as you're in my club you will talk to the Tops with respect. You remember you gave me permission to put you in timeout today if you didn't follow the club rules? Apologize to Mister Marco. Now." Penny's shoulders dropped and she looked up at Marco with a pout.
"I'm vewy sowwy, Mister Marco. Dat was rude.
" Kai was surprised to hear her smaller voice but then realized she was in a place she felt safe with people she felt safe around.
Amelia, Amy, Ruby and Gemma were all over by the reception desk looking at something on Amy's phone.
Marco knelt in front of Penny and took her hands.
"It's all forgiven, sweet girl. It seems like you've been wanting to spend time with your brother. Why haven't you texted me?"
"I wanted you two to spend some time together. Without me."
"I want you to text me anytime you want to hang out with Kai. I'll let you know if it's a good time or when we can do it. Okay, honey?"
"Okay, Mister Marco." Penny threw herself against Marco and hugged him tight. "Tank you for taking good care of my brother."
"Of course, honey. He's my heart." Penny let go and Marco turned to Kai.
He didn't mean that, did he?
"Okay, I have to go, baby boy, what are the rules?"
"Do not leave the Imagination Room, listen to Mister Derek, follow the club rules," Kai dutifully recited. Marco had told them to him in the while packing then made him repeat it until he memorized them.
"Good boy. What will happen if you don't?"
"I'll get a spankin'" Kai sighed and shuffled his feet. "Daddy, I'll be fine. I wanna go see what's on Amelia's phone!" Marco smiled and gave Kai a chaste kiss and sent him on his way.
"What's that?" Kai asked Amelia. She looked over his shoulder and made sure her Daddy was engrossed in talking to Marco then showed Kai a photo of a gorgeous ring. It was very masculine, it had wood, gold, and some kind of black material.
"It's an engagement ring, Amelia bought her Daddy," Marshie said in a whisper.
"I'm gonna propose next year, after the holidays when the club isn't that busy and we can get away," Amelia said quietly with a big smile. Kai clapped and gave her a hug.
"Congrats!"
"Thank you!"
"Congrats on what?" Mister Derek asked and Amelia swiped quickly on her phone. Kai looked toward the front and waved at his Daddy as he left.
"On Dr. Bear's new friend! I told them all about how I asked and asked and asked and you gave him to me as an early Christmas present!" Amelia showed Derek her phone and Kai saw a massive bear sitting on a pink day bed. In fact, it was taking up the whole bed.
"Ah, yes, congrats on your Daddy giving in to your every demand." Derek chuckled and tweaked Amelia's nose.
"That's how it's supposed to be, Daddy!" Amelia giggled.
"Come on, the Little Room is set up with toys and snacks and papers so you guys can start planning. I'll just be in the corner working on my laptop."
"Daddy," Amelia whined, "You're 'pose to leave us alone!"
"I will, sweet pea, but I need to keep an eye on you in case you're being naughty. All of you. You're Daddies have put me in charge of all of you. In the case of Gemma and Penny, you two agreed to follow the club rules." Kai laughed as Amelia groaned and Gemma rolled her eyes along with Penny.
“Well, what about Landon?” Gemma asked as she looked at him.
“I’m here for the heavy things.” Penny rolled her eyes.
Today was going to be a lot of fun.
