Reminiscing #5

Idel snorted, “Do you all not see what I mean about Haley not having a healthy dose of fear for that man? Consort Eric wasn’t even there when it happened. Yet he went to another pack, who hates him, to punch that Alpha in the face.”

Jackie chuckled, “That Alpha’s name is Alpha Ezra.” Idel shrugged, “I know his name, I just don’t care because he’s irrelevant to me.” I linked Dylan, “Eric punched Alpha Ezra.” Dylan squealed, “I knew SGAP loved me! The daisy I picked up asking if he loves me or loves me not told me so.”

I chuckled, “Go have fun telling him that.” Dylan replied, “You just get me.” I did. I laughed, “I’m sure he’s waiting for you to find out.” Dylan cackled, “SGAP’s probably watching the door. I’ll have to be stealthy about it and go through a side door.”

Dylan paused, then shouted, “NO! I’m going through the window. There are Fairies to help me with these goals!” I told him, “Have fun, Dylan.” Dylan replied, “Always. Enjoy your relax-y time.” I assured him, “I’m having fun.” Dylan said, “Good. That was the point.” I loved that man.

Hexxi groaned, “This is boring and not helping with my pranks.” Beta James groaned, “Pranks? You? God, please no. Who are you pranking?” I answered, “It’s ok. We all agree she should get these people.” Jackie linked me, “Twice over.”

Beta James clarified, “That would mean Lacy and Jacqueline agree. She wolves, with no Fairy blood, agree the pranks are necessary?” I answered, “Yup.” Jackie agreed, “For sure.” Beta James sighed, “You know that means it’s possibly true, but the she wolves have gotten quite mischievous. Run it by me.”

Kiara chucked, “He will agree.” I knew that.

Hexxi pouted, “No, I have permission and I’m doing it.

Phiefan was helping me think of ideas.” I linked Emmaline, “Oh god. If I liked any of these people, I’d feel bad for them.

From what I’ve seen, Phiefan thinks it’s hilarious to make Hexxi go bigger in her pranks. ”

Emmaline agreed, “Oh he does. Hexxi’s ideas are out there off the wall crazy, and he loves it. He’s always like ‘why stop there?’ Then asks what else she’s thinking of.” Well, the three people being pranked sucked and they hurt my mate.

Plus, Cassandra had always been weird. I never liked her, even when my mom was closer to her. Cassandra gave me a weird vibe. Plus, her attitude of being better than everyone annoyed me. By blood I was better than her, but she always turned her nose up at me if my parents weren’t looking.

Kiara offered, “Kena is nice when she’s awake, but that’s rare.

” Yeah, Kena was always sleeping and honestly, I didn't blame the wolf. I’d sleep through this life if my partner was Cassandra.

I’ll never know how Nathan did it. He was a great person and Cassandra just perked up my heckles. Especially after I left and returned.

Kiara growled, “She reminds us of those women who orchestrated us leaving.” Christy did it, but Claudia told her how to accomplish it. It was true that Cassandra reminded me of them, and that probably wasn’t fair.

The thing was, I didn’t give a rat’s ass about being fair.

Besides, Dylan didn’t like Cassandra either.

So, I was definitely on the side of being right there.

Hell, at this point Eric didn’t like her.

Kiara snorted, “Thor barely tolerates her.” I reasoned, “As she’s not dead, he’s doing a good job. ” Kiara snickered in my head.

Idel answered James, "Cassandra, Davis, and Betty.” Hexxi gasped, “Why did you tell him? I already have so much permission to do my pranks!” I replied, “He won’t care in the slightest. It doesn’t affect his pack, and James also hates all those people.”

Beta James agreed, “Lacy is right, I don’t care at all. Not my pack, not my problem. Carry on and go through all your plans with Phiefan.” Then hung up. Jackie chuckled, “That was Beta speak for he hates all those people and hopes you do your absolute worst.”

I agreed, “It definitely was. I love being right about who hates who. To be fair, I’ve heard James specifically say he hates all those people. Theo has even said it.” Hexxi squealed, “This is great! So much permission has been given.”

I asked, “Do you need to go through your ideas with us?” Hexxi chucked, “I already told you one, and Eric and Haley wanted everyone to be able to say they didn’t know.

” Jackie laughed, “Girl, we can lie.” Hexxi pouted, “That’s right, you can.

Which is ever so unfair.” Nope, we were not having sad Fairies right now.

I laughed, “I mean we can’t do cool things like teleport or use charms.” Hexxi beamed, “That’s true. Charms are great.” Jackie agreed, “They really are.” Idel clapped, “Yes, everyone has cool things they can do as Supernatural’s. Yada, yada, yada. We were talking about Consort Eric and Davis.”

Jackie laughed, “Go on, Lacy. You’ve got all the details really.” I sighed, “I mean I was a pup, but I did cheer once when Eric got Davis because my parents weren’t there.” Emmaline snorted, “Your dad would never let Davis treating Dylan the ways I’ve heard today fly.”

I agreed, “He never did. Davis didn’t say much like that around my dad. Beta’s are actually good at saying things around other people. Dad kept Dylan and Davis apart as much as he could. Or he was with them. Lucas was always off doing stuff with Dylan and Travis too.”

Idel ground out, “Oh my stars, will you just tell us the story?” I recalled, “Well, Dylan had to cover a meeting because Davis was looking into his conspiracy theories. Dylan was late because he didn’t know he’d have to cover the meeting. I, personally, was elated when he walked in the door.”

Emmaline asked, “Why were you there?” I answered, “Lucas was always going to meetings for my dad, but dad wanted Davis there. Dad wanted Davis to guide Lucas, but there was the whole conspiracy theory thing Davis was looking into we didn’t know about at the time.”

I sighed, “Now, we obviously know that’s what he was doing when he’d spring things on Dylan last minute. Dylan had to get Travis from school too because Betty bailed to help Davis. Lucas had picked me up early. When Travis joined, he and I started playing together.”

“Dylan joined the business meeting for a hotel that our pack went in on together with Black Mountain. Davis showed up halfway through and asked if Dylan made it on time. Eric didn’t care for the meeting being interrupted for something they could discuss afterwards and basically flicked Davis off like a fly. ”

Idel asked, “Did that not ever upset the man? It sounds like that’s all Consort Eric ever did.” Hexxi agreed, “That’s true. Is it hard to upset Davis?” Jackie jumped in, “So hard. You have to go all out.” I shot her a look knowing she was lying.

Davis was only unflappable when he was the pack’s Beta.

Now, as the former Beta, everything set the man off.

Hexxi nodded, “That’s good to know. Thank you, Jackie.

” She took an honest to god note. Kiara chuckled, “It’s adorable that Fairy wants to get this all so right that she’s writing things down. ”

Honestly, that spelled utter disaster for the trio of people she was after. I just really didn’t care. Emmaline asked over link, “I assume you don’t want me to tell Hexxi that Jackie was lying.” I replied, “Don’t you dare.” Emmaline smirked and looked down.

Idel waved her hand demanding, “Continue the story.” I replied, “As for your question, no Eric’s actions didn’t make Davis mad. Eric has been, and always will be, someone Davis respects. What can I say? Other than Davis’s logic is weird. It embarrassed him more than once, but he was never mad.”

Hexxi snorted, “What a strange dichotomy of a man this Davis is. I’ll really have to dig in deep.” Jackie raised her glass agreeing, “For sure. Dig your heels into the psyche that is Davis and get to his core. Then go for the jugular with your hijinks.” Hexxi beamed at my wolf sister in law.

I offered, “You could do Christmas themed things with a twist. Like when they walk under mistletoe they stub their toe or something.” Hexxi gasped, “Yes! That’s the right vein of thinking.

Stubbing their toe is not quite enough, but the Christmas theme is going to be paramount.

” Kiara snickered, “That was diabolical.” I knew that, but Dylan deserved Davis being driven mad by a Christmas themed prank. Hexxi took down another note.

Idel clapped, “Ok, back to the story.” I replied, “Well, Dylan admitted he’d been late after the meeting broke apart. Eric dryly commented Davis was the one who was late since Dylan wasn’t supposed to be there. Dylan made a comment about how twitterpated he was because Eric knew his schedule.”

Emmaline jumped in, “But Dylan doesn’t call Eric by his given name unless something really bad happens or if we need an intervention.” I agreed, “That’s true. He called him Alpha needs to find better bed partners because he’s never relaxed from coitus.”

Hexxi spit out her drink and even Idel laughed. Jackie said, “Wow. That’s a choice for his nickname.” I grinned, “That’s Dylan.” Idel said, “I take it back, your mate is the one who needs a healthy dose of fear of Consort Conners. He’s making Cousin Haley look quite sane.”

Emmaline sighed, “Haley is sane.” Hexxi offered, “Technically speaking we’re all a little bit mad depending on the lens you view it through. Humans would call us all murderers.” That was surprisingly insightful.

I continued, “Anyway, Davis didn’t care for that nickname and snarked back at Dylan. I don’t know what happened because I looked down, but I think…” I trailed off and Kiara growled. I knew if I’d had her, we’d have shifted and bit Davis that day.

Emmaline asked, “Lacy?” I admitted, “I think Davis raised his hand to hit Dylan, but Eric caught it and separated Davis’s shoulder. Eric then took Davis out of the building, howling. Dylan came over to Travis and me afterwards.”

Jackie asked, “Does Travis know Davis was going to hit Dylan?” I answered, “No, he wasn’t looking at their group, like me.

I don’t think Travis thinks Davis would do that.

I only think that because Eric wouldn’t have done something that extreme for no good reason. He never did unless hands were raised.”

Hexxi hummed, “I bet I can get the answer.” She took another note down. Kiara growled, “Yeah, I want that answer.” I did too. I said, “Dylan took us out for ice cream while Eric roared at Davis. I know he threatened him, but I couldn’t understand what he said.”

Emmaline reiterated, “Your dad wouldn’t have let that go.

” I replied, “Davis would’ve told him he was just going to gesture with his hand or something.

Davis is actually a very good manipulator.

I think his time away had him losing his grip on the pack believing the bullshit he spewed. Especially my dad.”

I waved, “Changing the topic, do you lovely women have a way to make sure Fairy released magic doesn’t result in twins? I’m only ordering one.” Emmaline barked out a laugh. Jackie pointed at me, “What she said.”

Idel said, “We’d have to know it was coming but there’s a drink non-Fae can take so that if magic is released, they could only conceive one child. How does one plan that though? The magic is released as we are pleased. It’s hardly a scheduling type of evening.”

I winked at Emmaline and answered, “One is trying to give their mate a Christmas pup, so I have a plan. I’m challenging my brother, which I’m trying not to gag about, and Eric to see which one can have their mate releasing magic first."

Hexxi gasped, “That’s brilliant! Idel, I love them. We must have them here more often. They spark my creative juices, and they have great ideas themselves.” Idel chuckled, “We can get this she wolf the drink then.” I winked, “Bless you both.”

Everything was lining up. My mate was happy, and I was beginning to get really hopeful we’d have a Christmas pup.

That would really be Dylan’s dream, and it would work since I wanted to take a long break before our next pup after this.

Afterall, thanks to Faires, we had the time since we’d live so long.
