Chapter 68
Lucy
“This is the life,” Leo murmured. “My omega on my lap.” He trailed his fingers up my bare leg. “Her cute little pussy all bare.” His hand slipped under the shirt I’d pulled on this morning—one of Wilder’s—and cupped my sex. “Our alphas making us breakfast while I make her come.”
We were tangled up together on the couch while King and Wilder made blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon.
I whined and arched into Leo’s touch, greedy for more even though I’d already come several times this morning.
Wilder had woken me up by licking me to an orgasm.
The moment I came, he’d bitten my hip, adding another bond mark on my skin.
King had woken up at my cry, muttered something under his breath when he saw the new mark, and had fucked me until I screamed.
And now, Leo’s fingers plunged inside me as his thumb circled my clit, quickly pushing me to another orgasm, all before ten in the morning.
“That’s my good girl. Look at you, taking your pleasure.”
“If you’re done fucking, breakfast is ready,” King shouted.
Leo chuckled and lifted me off his lap before adjusting his hard-on. “Greedy girl. You’ve got to eat your breakfast first, darling, and then you can have your dessert.”
My cheeks heated at the realization that I’d been perfuming while staring at the outline of his cock through his gray sweatpants. I tore my eyes away and handed him his cane before we walked into the kitchen.
King winked as he flipped the last few pancakes onto a plate and Wilder wrapped me in his arms. I probed our new bond, trying to sense any jealousy, but all I got was a thread of amusement and a huge wave of arousal.
His eyes were soft as he tucked my hair behind my ear.
“I was worried bonding you would make my alpha even more aggressive, but it’s helped put me at ease. ”
I put my arms around his neck, but even on my tiptoes, I couldn’t reach his lips.
He took pity on me and leaned down so we could kiss.
“Thank you for taking a chance on me,” I whispered.
“And you can mark me as much as you want. I love it.” I didn’t care how unusual it was—I would be happy for Wilder to mark me a hundred times, and King, too, because each silvery scar was a symbol of their love for me.
I wished Leo could mark me, but I would just have to make up for it by putting my bond mark on him.
“You never have to thank me, sweetheart. I’m the one who’s been given more than I ever dreamed.”
He picked me up and sat me on a stool. We were crammed around the counter, my elbows bumping against Leo and Wilder as I ate, and I loved every moment. The pancakes were amazing, but I actually gasped when I took a sip of my coffee. “This tastes like a strawberry cardamom latte.”
Leo grinned. “I may have bribed Ella to sell me a bottle of their syrup.”
I squealed and launched myself at him, peppering his stubble-covered cheeks with kisses. “This is the best morning ever.”
He grinned. “You’re easy to please.”
It was just a passing, throwaway comment, but it made my breath hitch and eyes water.
“Fuck, what’s wrong? I didn’t mean it. You’re very hard to please.” Leo ran a panicked hand up and down my back in what I imagined was supposed to be a soothing gesture.
I choked out a watery laugh. “I’m fine, promise. Sorry for being silly. It’s just, my exes always said I was impossible to please and I needed to stop being such a spoiled, materialistic omega.”
The energy in the kitchen turned dark with fury.
“They said what?” King’s voice was ice.
I chewed my lip. I hadn’t meant to reveal all that. I’d learned that people expected social, happy Lucy, so I was used to hiding when I was upset and returning once I’d pulled myself together again. My guys weren’t going to let that happen.
Wilder lifted me onto the counter and gripped my chin so I couldn’t look away. “We will hunt them down and feed them to the pigs that Easton’s friend owns. You are so fucking easy, sweetheart.”
I cocked my head and Leo made a strangled noise. “He means easy to please.”
I saw the moment Wilder realized what he’d said, and his look of horror made me burst out laughing. “I mean it’s true.” I winked. “I’m very easy around you three.”
King shot me a heated look, and the tension in the room broke. I moved back to my stool and squeezed Leo’s hand. “Thank you.”
“Just telling the truth. Although I certainly don’t mind if you want to be difficult and make us work for it.” His lips brushed my cheek. “Dealing with our bratty omega is fun, too.”
He returned to his breakfast while I squirmed uncomfortably and hoped my T-shirt was enough to stop my slick from leaking onto my chair.
King placed a fresh cup of strawberry cardamom coffee in front of me. “Finish your breakfast, princess.”
I took another bite, blushing at his murmured, “Good girl.”
Leo and King asked Wilder questions about the cabin, giving me a chance to process my feelings as they gave me casual, reassuring touches.
When we finished, we decided to move to the porch.
The day was warming up, the sun was shining, and the forest smelled alive.
Porch-sitting was such a better way to experience nature than camping.
Wilder stole me onto his lap, his hand gently rubbing over the bond mark he’d put on my palm. “I never heard how your interview went. I’m sorry I didn’t ask before now. I hope I didn’t ruin it.”
I’d been in such a funk the past few days that I hadn’t told King or Leo about the interview, either…or about the email I’d received yesterday.
“You didn’t ruin anything. The interview was done by the time I realized you’d gone to the hospital. It went well.”
The guys waited for me to elaborate. When I didn’t, Leo carefully asked, “Did they tell you when they’ll let you know if you got it?”
I nodded slowly. “I actually got an email from them yesterday morning, just a few minutes before I walked in to the doctor’s appointment. That was the reason I was late.” I took a deep breath. “They offered me the internship. It would start July first.”
Wilder’s hold on me tightened, and he kissed my forehead. “Congratulations, sweetheart.”
“Thanks,” I almost-whispered.
King moved to my side, his hand firm on my thigh. “What are you thinking, baby girl?”
I played with the edge of my T-shirt. “I should take it, right?”
Leo snagged my hand and squeezed it. “You don’t want to? Did something happen that upset you?”
I shook my head. “Nothing happened, which is part of the problem, I guess. Everyone was really nice. I got a tour, talked to a couple of former interns, and saw their sewing room, which was amazing. But…the focus of the internship is design, not sewing, and most of the interns have goals of designing for wide-scale production.”
“And that’s not what you’re interested in,” King said. “You want to make high-end couture.”
My eyebrows shot up. “You remember that?”
“Of course.” He looked almost insulted that I’d even asked. “You shouldn’t take the internship if it’s not the right fit.”
“But it’s a really prestigious fashion house. The things I learn and connections I make could help me succeed as a designer. It’s not like I’ll get an opportunity like this again. If I turn it down, what’s the alternative? Staying in my hometown and running my little store?”
“You say that like it’s a bad thing,” Wilder said.
“Isn’t it?”
“Why?” Leo looked legitimately confused.
“How could you believe people won’t take your designs seriously when you have a million people obsessed with what you’re making?” King asked.
“They’re obsessed with Felix, not me.”
“Yes, all the people complimenting the outfits and asking for sewing tips because you are, quote, ‘the best sewist I’ve ever seen,’ are just there for Felix.”
Leo cupped my face, forcing me to meet his gaze. “Why does a career have to be serious? You are the most fun, playful, sunshiny person I’ve ever known. Why not bring that into your work?”
“And you don’t just sew pet costumes, not that it’d be a bad thing if you did,” King said. “All it took was you going to a single event wearing one of your dresses to catch the attention of Jacqueline Wu and have people falling over themselves to get a slot for a custom dress.”
My lip twitched. “Not sure one person qualifies as a crowd of people.”
“There would have been a crowd if I hadn’t swept you away, desperate to get you alone.” He captured my lips with his, not caring that I was on Wilder’s lap or that Leo was cupping my cheek.
It was too much—their support, their confidence in me. My chest swelled with happiness.
King pressed a last gentle kiss to my lips before pulling away.
“We just want you to be happy. I gave up everything I wanted out of desperation for my parents’ love and approval.
I wasted the past decade of my life on people who didn’t even care about me.
I can’t regret it because it brought me here, to you, but that doesn’t mean you have to make the same choices. ”
I moved off Wilder’s lap and put my arms around King. My heart hurt for how little love he’d gotten in life—how little love both of my alphas had received. It was good Leo and I were here now.
“I love you,” I murmured. “I’m glad you made your way here.”
