CHAPTER 15
Min-Jun ran. He ran as fast as his legs would allow him.
At that moment he didn’t care what anyone would think. He was done with this house, and he was done with its owner.
He hurriedly changed in the small room, collected all his things and left; without a goodbye, without an explanation. When Elena called him, if she ever called him, asking for an explanation, he would tell her that he had quit. She might be disappointed, but Min-Jun didn’t care anymore.
Tears rolled down his face as he strode down the path to the gate. He opened the huge metal door and slammed it without looking back. He clutched his coat and rushed down the walkway in the direction of his home. He pulled out his phone to call a taxi but realized he needed to calm down first.
As he walked a car pulled up on the side of the road, but he didn’t pay attention to it.
“Need a ride?”
The voice pulled him out of his musings. He turned, and his stomach clenched when he saw who was behind the wheel.
What does this guy want?
Aidan’s lover was sitting in the car with a prying look on his face. Min-Jun tried his best not to frown and replied, “No. There’s no need, thanks,” and continued to walk on his way.
“It’s not a problem. Really. I’ll take you to any part of the city, just tell me where.”
Min-Jun shot him a glare. “I said there’s no need.”
But the man didn’t give up. “You seem upset. Did something happen?”
“That’s none of your business,” Min-Jun said and proceeded walking.
The car moved after him, and Cade added, “Come on. You can tell me.”
Min-Jun gave him a dirty look. “Leave me alone.”
“Okay. Fine,” the man said and rolled the window up.
Min-Jun quickened his pace, hoping the man really gave up. He let out a sigh of relief as he heard the car pull away. He then turned to make sure the man was really leaving him be.

Aidan changed his shirt and washed his face then returned to his office. He thought about Min-Jun and stared at the screen when he heard a knock.
Cade entered.
“Hey!” the dark-haired man grinned and closed the door after him.
Aidan shot him a questioning look.
Cade cleared his throat. “I just saw your maid down the street.”
Aidan raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms. Cade seated himself on the leather chair and continued, “I offered him a ride. He seemed quite upset.”
Aidan clenched his jaw without commenting and looked away.
Cade didn’t take his eyes off him and grinned. “Did I miss something?”
Aidan gave him an unbothered look. “Nothing. He just went home.”
“Hm… I would argue with that.”
Aidan rolled his eyes and gestured, “Come here.”
Cade didn’t hesitate. Aidan turned in his chair and looked up at him, saying, “Your mouth is babbling again about things that don’t concern you.”
“You know me.” Cade grinned again.
“Kneel.”
Cade lowered himself on the floor and Aidan unbuttoned his pants. He pulled out his erection, pushed Cade’s head down and groaned in ecstasy when he felt the wetness of Cade’s mouth around his dick.
He closed his eyes and threw his head back, his cock throbbing from building arousal. Fuck… Min-Jun.

Another knock echoed through the room. Elena opened the door with a question, “Where’s Min-Jun?”
Aidan glanced at her and said, “Probably went home?” He was glad that she didn’t barge in ten minutes earlier.
“Home? Why would he go home?” Elena asked, visibly surprised.
Aidan sighed and drummed his fingers, avoiding her eyes. “He quit.”
“What? Why?”
“We had an argument and he said that he quit.” Aidan directed his gaze at her and gave her an innocent look.
Elena stared in disbelief, then finally asked, “An argument? What did you do?”
“Me?”
“Well, yes! I know you, Aidan. It must be something you did.”
Aidan sighed and broke eye contact with her. “It’s maybe me. Or maybe him. Or maybe both of us.”
“For God’s sake! Tell me what happened?”
Aidan considered how much to tell Elena and not to reveal their secret. He could easily tell her everything, but he didn’t want to. Min-Jun and he were a secret. No one should ever know about the moments they shared.
So, what should I tell her?
“It’s my fault,” he finally said. “I don’t like him working as a maid, so I did things to throw him off balance and quit.”
Elena looked at him and shook her head.
“I’m sorry. But you need to find a new maid.”
“This is unbelievable. You should just fire him, not torture him until you make him quit.”
“I… I didn’t torture him,” Aidan said, thinking about all the things they did together. And none of it was torture. He hoped that Min-Jun didn’t see it that way.
If she only knew…
“This makes no sense. Min-Jun was good and did all his tasks diligently.” Elena shook her head again.
“Not everything needs to make sense.”
Elena released a heavy sigh. “Why do you love to make things difficult?”
Aidan pressed a finger to his lips, thinking. “Honestly, I have no idea.”

Min-Jun was curled up on his bed when his phone rang. He looked at the screen, already knowing who it might be. He considered whether to answer or not, but he pressed the phone to his ear.
“Hello?”
“Mr. Han. I’m calling you to apologize. While I don’t know the details about why you left, I’m really sorry that you were forced to quit.”
Min-Jun heard the woman speak, and he remembered how, just a few months ago, he had prayed that this same woman would hire him. He didn’t know how to answer and his throat tightened.
“Would you want to come and discuss it face to face? We wouldn’t want to lose you like this.”
Min-Jun’s heart squeezed. Who exactly didn’t want to lose him? He suspected it was only this woman who actually cared. He didn’t intend to lose his job, nor to disappoint her in any way. But he had to do what was necessary.
“No. My decision is final,” he heard himself say.
“Think about it. You don’t have to make a final decision right away. I know that Mr. Wilton can be difficult sometimes. I will talk to him so that he treats you better in the future. I really don’t know what happened, but I hope things can be fixed.”
It can’t be fixed…
“Mrs. Glover, I am sorry, but my decision is final.”
“Will you tell me at least what happened?”
“No. I’m sorry.”
“Well, alright. If you really think that is the best solution, then I’ll let it be. Still, I can write you a reference letter.”
“Thanks.”
“I wish you all the best and hope you find a new job soon. Have a good day.”
Min-Jun just hung up. He threw the phone across the room, curled into himself again, and began to cry.
