Chapter 10
C aya
The moment I laid eyes on him I could tell something wasn’t right.
Mentally he wasn’t in the best space. He wasn’t angry, but he was irritated.
I knew he had gone out with his brothers earlier and found out something about his shooting.
I was trying to pry, but I wanted to know though.
I was tempted to find Juicy and smack down on her myself because I didn’t like seeing him unhappy.
Rennix was a smiler, like literally the type of nigga who was always smiling, so the fact that he wasn’t had me ready to put in my own type of work.
At my request we were spending the weekend at his home.
I figured we could do something, but when he called and I heard his voice, then I laid eyes on him, I told him we didn’t have to go anywhere but could instead get a pizza delivered and lay up. He needed it; I could tell.
We lay on the sofa, his face in my neck while we were supposed to be watching a movie. Safe to say the movie watched us.
“You wanna talk about it?” My hand caressed his neck as I stared into space, loving the feel of his warm body wrapped around mine.
I just didn’t like his state of mind right now.
Rennix wasn’t the type to get mad and break things.
He internalized the things he couldn’t change and made moves to change them.
The problem right now was that he had been shot, obviously injured, and was unable to handle things the way he wanted.
I knew that much because when I got here he was on the phone with Reminisce.
From what I gathered, Reminisce wanted to go handle the situation and Rennix wanted to do it himself.
“I just can’t understand why people are so fucked up. Like I ain’t saying I’m some saint, but I don’t go out of my way to fuck with people like that. I be in my space, stacking my funds and moving at my own pace.”
“You’re right but people exist to mess with that because they have no motion of their own. The sad thing is these people aren’t for you to understand. Handle them accordingly and keep it moving. I hate it, but that’s all you can do, my heart.”
“Your heart?” he asked, lifting his head and looking down into my eyes.
“Yeah, my heart. I’m so in tune with you that I feel you when you’re not near. Got me calling and texting you when you’re out with your brothers. I probably look crazy as hell. The thing is I felt you, then the sound of your voice let me know in the door.”
He laughed. “Nah, yeen look crazy at all, my baby. As a matter of fact, they weren’t paying attention. We were looking for bitch ass baby daddy.”
“Whose bitch ass baby daddy?” I was momentarily confused.
“Somebody’s, ’cause he damn sure ain’t yours. You and Adonis got me. So fuck that nigga. Even though I’m still gonna beat his ass myself or let Rem break his fucking jaw.”
“Why?”
“Because he came out of his mouth with you and I could’ve sworn I told his ass not to say anything else to you. I’on remember exactly what I said, but I believe I warned him what would happen. Even if I didn’t, it should have been fucking implied.”
“Here you go fighting for my honor. Damn, you want some head or something, baby?”
He chortled. “As a matter of fact, yeah, but I’m comfortable right now. Soon as we get up I’ma take you up on that shit. I want it sloppy as fuck too.”
“You are a fucking mess. You know that right?”
He nodded. “You said you in tune with me; I am with you too. And if I ain’t, then I don’t know what to call this. Lowkey feeling like I’on like being too far from you too soon. It bothers me and I know you be doing hair but something in me don’t give a fuck.”
She laughed. “I know you don’t. You be texting me the most random shit because you feel it. I kinda be wanting to be up under you too, but I have to work. ”
“It ain’t work for you, baby, and we both know it. You love doing hair and I love that for you.”
I beamed because Rennix’s level of attention he paid me was unmatched. He had a way of seeing me that I don’t think anyone ever had. “You cute, paying me attention and shit. How is the club?”
“According to the cameras and Boe, good. I just hate not really being in my shit. You know?”
“Yes, which is why I wanna go there with you next week. During an open night. You know, to see what you’re working with. Just like you know I love doing hair, I know you love that club. The only time I was there was during your grand opening and mus?—”
“The night you told me I was a hoe? Even though I put off all the hoes to be in your face?”
Laughter escaped my lips as the memory settled into my mind like a movie playback. “In my defense, you still had the hoes and I didn’t know you.”
“Fuck your defense. You saw how I was on your body. You should have known right there that I was on something different.”
“No you weren’t. You wanted some pussy, oh, and one night. Remember?”
He chortled. “Yep, now I’m tryna see if you gonna gimme longer and maybe a set of twins.”
I choked on the gathering spit in my mouth. “Um what?”
“Yeah. I’m a twin, so I need a set. Shit, how the fuck G got a set is beyond me.” He was talking like he hadn’t just added twins to our mix.
“Sir. This isn?—”
“Life too short to be waiting on appropriate timeframes to do shit. If I tell you today or tomorrow I want you to carry my kids, I mean just that. I’m a real nigga, Caya.
If for some reason you think you gonna leave me alone, then I’ma get your head checked and your ass committed.
I ain’t got time to be playing with it.”
I didn’t respond, I swooned internally. How could I not? He said what he said. Now was I in a rush to get pregnant? Uh hell no, I faithfully took my pill at the top of the morning. Not only did I have an alarm for when I took it, but my alarm had an alarm. Nope, not me.
“You hear me?” he asked, voice slicing through my thoughts.
“Yes, I heard you.”
He lifted his head from my neck and just looked down at me. Then he moved up a little and pecked my lips before he maneuvered to get up. “Good, now come on so you can suck some dick.”
I cackled because for an injured man he was up and moving pretty fast. I still followed him to the bedroom. “I love this house. It’s so beautiful and bi?—”
“Then move out here with me.”
I looked away from the view to see him looking directly at me. He was so serious and I was speechless.
“Don’t stand there looking crazy and over fucking thinking, just agree.”
“It’s so fast we’r… I have Adonis.”
“You saying fast? Fuck all that. I just damn near told you I wanted you to carry my kids. I don’t give a fuck about speed or timeframes. Then didn’t I just tell your hard headed ass I got Adonis. That’s my Lil G. We good.”
“Rennix. Do you hear what you’re asking me to do?”
“Yeah, I ain’t asking you to do shit. I’m telling you to move you and my Lil G in with me.
You love the house and I want y’all here with me.
Simple math. Now say yes, so you can gobble some dick then look up moving companies unless you intend to let Cylah have yo’ townhouse.
” He stood in the middle of the spacious kitchen, looking at me like every word from his lips made sense.
I was about to give yet another reason why this wasn’t a good idea, then a little voice in my head quieted the rampant overthinking that was about to happen. I tossed caution to the wind and nodded. “Yes, we’ll move in with you.”
I moved toward him, reaching up and grabbing the sides of his face. He then ducked his head and pressed his lips against mine.
With his free hand, he gripped my ass cheek, pulling me further into him. “That also means the rent you was paying to keep the townhouse is going toward getting you a shop.”
I smiled. Besides my mother and sister I had never had anybody think about and consider me the way Rennix did. He actually gave a shit about me past what was between my legs.
Maintaining eye contact with him, I created some space between us. My hand went to the hem of my T-shirt, pulling it over my head.
He bit into his bottom lip. “Everything about you is just so fucking perfect.”
“Is it?” I stepped back, because he, of course, started moving toward me.
“Don’t play with me, Caya.” His tone was heavy and his eyes tight.
I couldn’t back up any more, because I was immediately against the couch, and with supernatural speed he was against me.
“Lift your leg and put your foot right here.” He pointed, cornering me and helping me sit on the back of the sofa.
I did as he said, balancing my body enough to give him room.
He pushed his sweats down with one hand and held me in place with the other all while making sure my eyes were on his.
Anticipation trapped my breath while he pushed forward, fingers now finding my opening. Of course I wasn’t wearing underwear. I wasn’t ninety-two percent of the time. I hated them with a passion.
“You gotta breathe, baby,” he said in a taunting-like tone, moving finger by finger along my pussy. He knew what he was doing, with a sinister smile engraved on his lips.
“Shit,” I moaned right before he leaned forward and bit my lip, sucking it.
His rough hand rubbed against my center so aggressively, occasionally slipping a finger in and curving it, threatening to end me right there.
I was so wet I knew I was leaking. I felt my orgasm just from that motion alone because apparently he did too.
“Don’t cum yet.” He snatched his hand back, stepping forward and stabbing my center ever so slightly.
I wanted to cry out, but the way he thrust into me and swallowed my lips, I couldn’t. It was like this nigga has super speed, the type of shit only seen in the movies. He filled me so deep I had no words.
Then he pulled back, peering down at where we were connected. “You see that?” His eyes glimmered, making me wanna see what he saw, so I looked down.
“Shit,” I cried as soon as I looked down. Knowing what he was doing to me had one effect but seeing it brought out another. It was earth shattering.
