Chapter Thirteen

There were over a dozen Littles running around—climbing on, hiding beneath, and just having fun on the giant adult-sized playground in the center of the park.

It was obvious Aaron wanted Amber to tag along, and she was happy to go for him.

While he seemed to be adapting well, it stood to reason that he wasn’t completely comfortable yet.

After all, he’d spent so much of his life hiding his Little nature and only indulging in secret.

So, she was glad to support him any way he needed.

Besides, it was a beautiful day, and some fresh air sounded wonderful.

Plus, she didn’t hate the idea of seeing Grant again.

Sure enough, he was at the park, sitting on one of the benches.

He stood upon her approach. “Well, I guess we aren’t waiting for tonight.”

“Guess not,” Amber said.

Just as in the store earlier, they held one another’s gaze for a few seconds longer than usual.

Once they sat down beside each other on the bench, looking out over the chaotic scene before them, she said, “It was so sweet of Millie to include Aaron.”

“We were hoping he is taking to being here just fine. It can be a bit overwhelming at first,” Grant told her.

Silence settled over them. Amber wondered if Grant felt a tad nervous and awkward. Or was that just her?

She had no reason to, she reminded herself. So what if Grant was stupidly hot? And sexy. And drove her wild? None of that mattered. They were just two people who’d recently met each other, having a casual, friendly conversation.

No big deal at all.

So…why did it feel like such a huge deal?

Maybe because she hadn’t been this wildly attracted to a man in quite some time. Flirting with James at work was fun. And there were other guys at the dealership who caught her eye. But there was something about Grant that had her feeling like a schoolgirl with a raging crush!

It was exciting but also a tad nerve wracking.

Trying to calm all her conflicting emotions and silence the voices in her head, she said, “Do y’all come here often? Not to the park. But to the resort.”

“Yeah. Since we discovered it, I can hardly keep Millie away. I can work from almost anywhere except when I need to meet clients face-to-face. And we only live about two hours east of here. So, it works out.”

Amber shifted on the bench, wanting to see him better. He did the same, their attention on each other now rather than on the playing Littles.

“What do you do?” she asked.

“Investment advisor. How about you two? Do you live nearby?”

“Yeah. Two hours west.”

He chuckled. “Then we’re about four hours from each other.”

“That’s not too bad at all,” she said. “And this place is right in the middle, it sounds like.”

He smiled wider.

A moment passed before she nervously added, “I’m not saying you want to meet up or anything. I’m just thinking about how close we are and…” Her words trailed off and she assumed her cheeks were a little flushed.

Gosh Amber, could you make this any more awkward? Is it possible you could be worse at flirting? And for the love of all that’s sacred, stop blushing!

“Well, I hope we’ll want to meet up,” he said with a knowing look in his eyes. “We are always looking to make new friends.” It was evident there was something more than just politeness to his words.

“We’d like that, too,” she replied. “We don’t know anyone in the Age Play community. Having friends sort of in the know would be nice.”

The Littles continued to play and shout, but it barely registered with Amber. Unable to tear her eyes away from the man sitting so close to her, she felt like they were the only two people at the resort right now.

“So, tell me about you two,” Grant said.

That was all it took. Amber spent the next twenty minutes telling him about how Aaron finally came out as a Little, the role she’d taken as a Mommy, and even their fairly innocent flirtations with cuckolding.

“I’m sorry,” she finished with a laugh. “I sort of word vomited all that.”

“No reason to apologize,” he told her. “I appreciate you sharing it. Sounds like you two have a great dynamic. And you’re obviously in love.”

Amber nodded. “Very much so.”

“I could tell that the moment I met you two.”

“It’s that evident?”

“Yep. And it’s beautiful.”

The fact that they were clearly attracted to each other—at least, she assumed Grant was as attracted to her as she was to him—yet he didn’t feel threatened by her marriage made her like him even more.

“What about you and Millie? Have y’all been together long?”

“About two years. We’re engaged.”

“That’s wonderful! Congratulations.”

“Thank you.”

“When’s the big day?”

“We’re thinking mid-October.”

“That’ll be here soon,” Amber said. “Relatively speaking, with a wedding to plan.”

Grant waved it off. “We don’t want anything huge. Nothing fancy. A simple ceremony with some family and friends.” He had a knowing gleam in his eyes as he added, “Of course, not all our guess will know about our, eh, special dynamic. So, it’ll be free of any kink references.”

Amber leaned back a little. “And just what is your dynamic? If you don’t mind me asking.”

“Feel free to ask anything,” he said. “And our dynamic is sort of a mix of things. I’m her Daddy obviously, and her Dom. But we are both free to play with other people. I guess these days that’s called polyamory.”

“These days? You sound like an old man.”

He laughed.

“I’m sorry,” Amber instantly said. “I didn’t mean to offend you. It’s just that I feel like I’ve known you for so long and can joke around.”

Grant put a gentle hand on her arm, and just that simple touch felt absolutely electric.

“No need to apologize. I feel the same way about you, Amber.”

Hearing him say her name was almost more than she could take. All they were doing was sitting on a park bench and chatting. There wasn’t anything remotely steamy about the encounter.

Yet her panties were growing more soaked with each passing second.

What was going on?

“So, if you don’t mind me asking, do you really think Aaron would be okay with you sleeping with other guys?”

A thrill surged through Amber.

Was he asking because he was interested?

“Oh, he really wants it. Like, more than anything.”

“I gotcha. Yeah, sometimes that desire can be pretty strong in some folks. It’s called compersion.”

“Compersion?”

The handsome man nodded. “It’s basically the opposite of jealousy.

The term is used a lot when discussing polyamory, but it means someone feels a sense of joy when they see a partner receiving pleasure…

or even forming an emotional connection with someone else.

” He shrugged a little. “More or less, I suppose. Though you can probably find stuff online that articulates it better than I just did.”

She shook her head. “No, that was great. I think I get it.”

Looking toward the playing Littles, she spotted Aaron running with Millie, both barely ducking behind a faux rock wall just in time before multiple jets of water from various guns reached them.

“I derive joy from watching him so happy in Little Space.” She turned her gaze back to Grant. “But I don’t want to see him with another woman. Is that selfish?”

Grant shook his head, understanding in his eyes. “But how do you feel about being with other guys?”

Amber couldn’t help but giggle as she covered her mouth. “It sounds exciting. Oh my gosh, does that make me an awful person?”

“Not at all. You’re just being honest. But it sounds to me like you two are on the right track. A cuckold relationship might match up with what both of you want. And need.”

Once again, Amber felt herself nearly melting to a puddle as he looked her deep in the eyes and continued.

“But of course, that’s not for me or anyone other than you two to decide.

Relationships—and marriages—can look however those participating want them to look.

No one else gets to decide what you have and what’s valuable or real.

” He made air quotes as he said real. “You and Aaron get to define your love. And whatever you both decide is valid and valuable.”

Amber narrowly averted yelling, “Fuck me now!”, but thankfully she managed to stay composed.

Instead, she simply said, “Thank you, Grant. That sounds like wise advice.”

“I just gave you the CliffsNotes version of what years of therapy took me to realize,” he said with a little laugh.

Amber laughed, too. “Well, it looks like it’s working. You and Millie seem really happy.”

“We are,” he said. “But it’s work. And I don’t mean that in a bad way.

But you know how it goes. Any relationship you see on social media—poly or traditional or whatever—is presented in the best light.

In reality, relationships take investment and care.

You have to be intentional. Regular check-ins, honest conversations, and lots of listening. ”

It was getting harder to control her impulses by the second. Had Grant wanted to rip her clothes off and fuck her right there on the park bench, she probably wouldn’t have stopped him.

Unfortunately, he didn’t propose that. But what he did suggest was nearly just as thrilling.

“Hey, how about when the Littles finish their water gun fight, we do that tour we were going to do tonight. Then, that frees us up later.”

“Sounds good to me. But what’s later?” she asked, hoping what she had in mind was along the same lines as what he was thinking.

“We still get that dinner, but just you and me. This place has a nice drop-in daycare where we can take Millie and Aaron. Trust me, they’ll have fun…” His expression was more than a little suggestive “…while we have fun. That is, if you’re up for it. No pressure.”

“Yes!”

Amber covered her mouth again as she winced. Clearing her throat, in a much quieter tone, she added, “That sounds lovely.”

But the damage was already done, and Grant was flashing a devilish smile that had her panties even more soaked than they already were.

He knows how bad I want him!

Butterflies danced in her stomach as her nerves threatened to get the better of her.

Would this be the night? Would all those conversations she and Aaron had finally pay off? Would all their fantasies become reality?

Don’t get too ahead of yourself. He just asked you to dinner. Only dinner.

But she knew that wasn’t really accurate.

He asked you on a date, Amber. This is huge.

Huge indeed…
