Chapter 35- Beautiful Gray Eyes
"What are you doing here Anna? Go back inside," The stupid guy dared to say even with the police officers standing in front of him, this guy had lost his mind.
" No Derick, stop what you're doing, you need help, get help, seek a doctor because something is definitely wrong with you," Anna said as she walked out. I was fighting everything in me not to make a scene, especially with the mark Anna had on her neck like he tried choking her.
" No, you're not going anywhere, you're my girlfriend, my girlfriend," He said as he went to grab Anna's hand but she quickly pulled away rushing to me and the officers blocked him.
" You're coming with us," They said as they grabbed him and handcuffed him.
" Why are you arresting me? I didn't do anything wrong, can't a man have a little quarrel with his girlfriend? What's wrong with you all?" He said as he struggled while Anna just shook her head before turning to me.
" It's taking everything in me right now not to punch that guy's face until he bleeds, you don't know how worried sick I was about you," I said and I went to take her hand but she pulled back. That stupid rule again.
" They're watching us, be careful,"
" I hate this," I groaned. She was okay and that was all that mattered.
" Where's my car? Where did he park my car?" She asked as she turned around looking for her car. He even kidnapped her with her own car.
" I think it's in his garage, I'll go check,"
" I'm coming with you," I said and she nodded but as she was about to start walking one of the officers stopped her.
" Ma'am you'll have to go with us to the station to make a statement," He said,
" Okay, please I'll just get my car and I'll be with you shortly," Anna said before she turned to me and I followed her to the said garage.
Just like she said, her car was there. She tried opening the car door but it was locked.
" He locked it and took the key, now I can't use my own car," She said in annoyance.
" Let's go now, I'll send someone to come get your car after we find out where he kept the key because nothing would make me ever let you come here again, never," I said possessively as my hand went around her waist pulling her close and then I kissed her lips.
She kissed me back, wrapping her hands around me.
" From now on I'll make sure to walk you to your car before I leave," I said leaving no room for argument but like always she'd still argue.
" No Cole, that's going to raise suspicion, people would wonder why you're always walking me to my car," She said and I sighed removing my arms from around and then pulled back, I needed a little space to think because when I was near her thinking was always hard.
" But how can I know you're safe, or do you want me to worry all the time?" I asked
" No, not that, I just don't think it's a good idea to always walk me to my car," She said and I looked at that cute little mouth and all I wanted to do was kiss her.
" Okay, how about you call me before entering your car and also as soon as you get home so I can know you're home safely,"
" That's fine, let's go we have to go to the police station," She said as she walked out of the garage with me following behind her, I couldn't help but look at that nice ass.
We got to the police station for Anna to make her statement. When she got to the part where he almost forced himself on her, I swear I don't think I've ever controlled myself like that.
He wanted to touch my woman, he wanted to touch what's mine. It took a lot of self-control and watching eyes to calm down because people would wonder why her boss was acting so possessive and angry.
" Calm down Cole," Anna said as she touched my hand on the steering wheel, I didn't realize I was holding onto it so tightly.
" I'm trying Anna, it's just that each time the image of what he might have done to you if you didn't get away from him comes to mind, it just keeps making me angry, it annoys the hell out of me," I said in anger.
" It's okay Cole, I'm here now, I'm not hurt, I'm here," She said in her soothing voice as she took my free hand and dropped a kiss on it. That calmed me down instantly.
" Let's have dinner together at my place tonight," I said,
" I'm sorry Cole but I have to be at the hospital with Mom, you know Bella still hasn't woken up,"
" Oh, okay," I said as I kept my eyes on the road, I couldn't wait for her friend to wake up so she could stop worrying.
I dropped her at the hospital before I drove back to the office, feeling a lot relieved.

Cole dropped me at the hospital and I watched his car drive away before I walked into the hospital.
I knew I was going to be getting a lot of questions, dad must be here now and I'm sure they tried calling me last night but couldn't reach me, they must have been worried sick. I couldn't believe Derick would do something like that.
I reached Bella's room and I lightly knocked on the door before I opened it.
" Where have you been Anna? I've been worried sick, I tried calling you but you wouldn't pick up, I wanted to tell you that Bella moved her finger, the doctor said she'll be waking up soon, she'll be…"
" Mom calm down," I said to her as I calmed her rambling, she must have been really worried.
" Anna, where were you?" My dad asked as he came to stand beside my Mom.
" It's a long story,"
" What are you talking about?" My Mom asked and just when I was about to start explaining, we heard a weak groan.
We quickly turned as we came face to face with familiar gray eyes.
