Chapter 37-No Touching Rule
I contemplated giving my number to him as I looked at the phone he stretched to me. Not thinking much about it, I took his phone and gave him my number, I'd have to check if he was doing okay.
" Hope it's not a fake number?" He asked and I chuckled.
" No it's not, I really have to go back now, it was nice meeting you again," I said as I turned but I turned right back when I remembered that I didn't get his name.
" I'm sorry but I don't remember your name," I said,
" I'm Nathan, Nathan Rivers Leonard."
" Oh, okay, nice to meet you, Nathan," I said before I smiled at him, and then I walked off.
" Hey Mom," I entered Bella's room to see that she had gone back to sleep.
" Is everything okay Mom?" I asked in concern.
" Yes everything is okay, she's just tired," I couldn't help but breathe in relief when she said that.

Sometime later, Bella woke up and I was feeding her when a knock came on the door. The door opened to reveal Luke as he walked in with a smile on his face.
" I see you're awake," He said but Bella looked at him in confusion.
" He's the guy I was telling you about, you guys were both involved in the accident,"
" Oh, uhm, thank you, thank you so much," She said as she brought her hand to put her hair behind her ear, a move she did whenever she was shy. Was my friend blushing? I tried not to laugh as I kept feeding her.
Mom and Dad went to get something to eat, so Luke just went to sit on the couch, he had already been discharged from the hospital but his hand had yet to fully recover so he still had a sling on.
It was funny to watch the exchange between him and Bella, they kept glancing at each other and I felt like an intruder, I was about to excuse them when a knock came on the door.
"Come in," I said and as the door opened and I couldn't help but smile, Cole was here.
" You know maybe I should get sick more often so I would get visited by hot guys," Bella said as the guys in the room chuckled.
" I can see you're better," Cole said with a smile.
" Well, these legs have to be kicking, I can't feel them yet," She complained.
" It's normal, you've been asleep for days, and with the injury you have, you didn't use the leg, so it's going to take some time to start using them," Cole said and she made an 'oh.'
" I brought you this," He said as he passed her a box of chocolate.
" Oh wow, I'm in heaven," She said happily as she took the box from him saying thank you and she didn't waste time with opening the packet as she devoured the chocolate. I thought she was sick.
I turned to Cole muttering a ' thank you ' to him as I watched Bella get engrossed in eating chocolate.
Halfway into eating the chocolate, she stopped with a gasp.
" No way," She said as she turned to Cole and then me and she looked back to the chocolate box, in fact, she looked at everyone in the room, like in some Indian suspense scene.
" What's wrong?" I asked
" You won't believe me, you'll be jealous," She said and Cole laughed.
I was in suspense here and Cole was laughing, what did they know that I didn't?
My confusion was cleared when Bella revealed a car remote control key for a Benz, wait what?
" What the hell?" I asked in surprise as a smile took over my face.
" Since you lost your car in the accident, I got you this as a motivation to heal faster, if you want to drive your Benz, your legs have to heal," Cole said and I couldn't help but look at him in surprise. What type of rich people analogy is that?
A car to heal faster? What would rich folks do that would surprise me again?
" Well, I'd have to heal faster, thank you, sir," She said as she admired the car key.
" You don't have to call me sir, just Cole is fine,"
" Okay thank you, Cole," She said but didn't turn to any of us as she kept looking at the car key. Well, the rich people theory was working on my best friend, I could already see her driving this car in her head, the accident had nothing on her.
" Look at my car key," She said as she showed it to Luke and he just smiled.
" Thank you, Cole," I said as I walked him out of the room.
" It's nothing, I just couldn't think of a way to make her happy, you know, I need her approval too," He said as he scratched the back of his head.
" Don't tell me you just bribed my friend with a Benz to get her approval," I laughed and he looked a little embarrassed.
" Well, it's a motivation like I said,"
" Cole, Bella already accepted you a very long time ago, she likes you way better than Derick, those two never clicked. It was like I had to always be there so they wouldn't kill each other," I said and I could see something flick in his eyes like his ego got boasted.
" I'm glad, you'll be coming to the office tomorrow right? I miss seeing your face," Cole said his voice becoming a little lower.
" I'll be in the office tomorrow, and I'll be wearing a skirt," I told him teasingly and his eyes darkened. He knew what I meant. Anytime I wore a skirt he'd want to hold me but he couldn't because we were in the office.
" You're such a tease,"
" And you love me like that,"
" Wouldn't have it any other way, I'll leave now, good night my love," My love? My heart couldn't help but skip as he called me his love. I felt all tingly from my head to toe.
" Good night, see you tomorrow," I said and Cole, like always forgot about the no-touching-in-public rule that we set and was about to bend down for a kiss but I moved back.
" Easy there boy, you don't want to get in trouble," I said and he groaned.
Cole left the hospital while I walked back to Bella's room, I opened the door without knocking and the sight that was in front of me made me freeze.
I wasn't expecting that.
