Chapter 40- Her Man
" Cole!" Megan jumped in glee and before I could move aside she jumped into my arms. Shit! The look in Anna's eyes was pure fire, it looked like she was shooting daggers into Megan's head.
" Megan, what's wrong with you? What are you doing in my office?" I asked her as I removed her arms around me
" I missed you, Cole," She said as she looked up at me with a pout, I wanted her gone from here, and Nathan, who instead of entering the elevator like he should have and be on his way, turned to Anna and I felt even more annoyed with the situation.
" Nathan, you were leaving," I told him.
" Was this the client you desperately wanted me to leave so you could meet?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows at me. Could he just shut up?
I looked at Anna and she had a very confused look on her face. Please let her not think I also sent her away because I wanted to meet Megan when I just wanted Nathan to be gone before she returned.
" Can you just shut up Nathan," I said and he raised his hands in surrender.
" Be gone now, and you too Megan," I said as I pressed the elevator button and the door opened then I pushed Nathan and Megan in, they could mingle for all I cared.
" I can explain," I said to Anna who was glaring at me.
" I brought you your burger Mr. Leonard," She said angrily as she raised the paper bag at me and was about to walk away but I held her hand to stop her.
" Anna, I know what you're thinking but you're absolutely wrong," I said as I went to stand in front of her,
" What am I thinking?" She asked, looking up at me with those soft beautiful eyes.
" You think I sent you out because I was expecting Megan," I said with a sigh.
" Who's Megan?" She asked.
" She's no one to me, she's just one of the girls I used to go out with before I met you, I promise she doesn't mean a thing to me, you're the only woman in my life,"
" Just how many of your previous flints do I have to meet?" She asked as she folded her hands and looked at me with sad eyes, I hated that.
" Babe, please don't look at me like that, I know I was not the best man but for you, I want to, I belong to only you and you don't have to worry about sharing me with other women, I only sent you out because of my cousin, I didn't want him talking to you on his way out," I confessed.
" You were jealous?" She asked
" I'm jealous whenever I see any guy look at you the way only I should be looking at you, it makes me upset," I said as I drew her closer forgetting that we were in the office.
" You promise that that was the reason,"
" I promise, maybe I should kiss you to show you just how serious I am,"
" Nope, we're in the office," She said as she pulled out of my arms.
" Since you asked for the burger, I bought it, and it wouldn't go to waste, Mr. Leonard, have your burger," She said as she handed me the bag and walked to her office. I couldn't help but chuckle at how cute she was.
Thank God I got out of this or I would have been in deep shit. I breathed in relief as I turned to my office.
" Wouldn't you want to share a burger with me?!" I said,
" You can enjoy your burger, I have mine,"
" But I'll enjoy it better if you're sharing it with me,"
" I'm busy Mr. Leonard," She said as I laughed before walking to my office.
I got busy with work as I checked report after reports, until it was finally time to go home.
I picked up my phone and called my precious secretary.
" It's time to go gorgeous," I said.
We were going to be having dinner at my place but I wanted her to be first so my car would follow behind hers.
" I still have a few things to finish, I'll be…"
" I'm your boss and I'm telling you it's time to go," I said authoritatively.
" But…"
" Close up Anna, it's time to go, did you forget we have a dinner date?" I asked her as I started carrying the things I needed to take home.
" I'm coming out, I expect that you'll be in your car before I reach outside," I said to her.
" Alright sir," She said and I could hear shuffling in the background. She was getting ready, I gave her some time before I stood up and walked out of my office. Her office was empty which meant she had left.
Such a good girl.
I entered the elevator and went down to meet her.
" Are you in your car?" I asked
" Yes Sir,"
" Okay, you're going to my house, start driving," I said and immediately she started the car and started driving.
" I'm right behind you," I said before I entered my car and started driving behind her.
When we reached the mansion, the gate opened and she drove inside, then I followed, she parked her car in front of the mansion and I parked behind her.
I quickly stepped out of the car as I walked to her and without warning I drew her close, my lips joining with hers and her hand instantly wrapped around my neck.
" I miss you so much," I whispered on her lips, all day I've been thinking about these lips.
" I miss you too," She whispered back as I wrapped my arms around her tightly enjoying the feeling of her body pressed to mine.
" It's been so long, I need to feel your body on mine, I need to be inside you, do you want that?" I said as I pushed her back to the car pressing myself to her.
" Yes,"
" Good, let's take this inside,"
