Chapter 54- Exes Game
" Awe this is so beautiful," I said as I entered my office and Cole was right behind me.
We had gone to pick the outfit we would be wearing and then they were sent to his house, we still had some things to finish before we went home.
" Why are there flowers on your table I didn't put there?" He asked as he looked at the flowers I happily picked from my table.
" You didn't put them here? Then who did?" I asked as I brought out the note attached to the flowers and read.
' You were the best woman in my life, I regret letting you go please come back to me '
'James.'
" Who is James?" Cole asked as his jaw clenched.
" Oh, just one of my exes, I'm sure he misses me and decided to send me flowers," I said as I smelt the sweet scent of flowers I got for myself, he didn't have to know that.
There was only one man I've dated before him and that was Derick.
" Why would your ex be sending you flowers?" He asked.
" Why would your ex whatever be coming to see you in the office?" I fired back.
" Oh, oh, I see where this is coming from," He said in realization.
" I'm glad you do," I said throwing my face to the side.
" Come on Anna, I've told you none of those women mean a thing to me as you do, you mean the world to me," He said as he moved towards me trying to take away the flowers but I pushed his handsome away, I got these flowers and I don't plan on throwing them even though I'm using them to act like my ex got them for me.
" Yeah, yeah, I mean the world to you, yet your ex still finds their way into that world,"
" Come on baby…"
" Don't baby me, from now on don't call me baby, ever, she called you baby, how does it feel to be called baby by her? Go ahead and be her baby, baby, really?" I said with a scowl.
He and the woman were both annoying.
" Come on Anna, my love, don't be mad," He said as he tried again to take the flowers but I still pushed his hands away, I wouldn't let him throw my money away.
" Cole, go to your office, my boss wouldn't want to see me slacking,"
" But I'm your boss," He said pointing to himself as I looked him up and down.
" Right now, all I can see is; you are my annoying boyfriend, leave me alone," I said as I went to sit on my office chair and he sighed before walking out of my office.
Annoying man.
I got back to work and I tried to finish as much work as I could before it was time to go home and get dressed for the ball.
A notification popped up on my computer telling me it was time to go home. I logged out of my computer as I arranged my things into my bags and then I took the bag and walked out of my office to Cole's office.
I pushed the door open and he looked sad sitting on his chair as he looked into nothingness.
I wouldn't fall for that, he'll have to suffer a little before I forgive him.
" It's time to go home and get ready," I said grumpily and he quickly got up from his chair and made his way towards me.
" I'm sorry my love, what do I have to do for you to forgive me?" He asked,
" Leave me alone," I said as I started walking to the elevator and he followed behind me.
" Come on, you know I can't leave you alone, I can't do that, I love you too much," He said as he pressed the elevator button and it opened as we both walked in.
" Come on baby…"
" I said don't call me baby or else I'm going to kick you in the balls,"
" Sorry ma'am,"
" Better," I said and he remained quiet, not saying anything.
We got into his car and he drove us to his house. He was about to start talking again so I turned on the radio, turning the volume up as I began singing along.
He looked at the radio contemplating turning it off but I guess he made the right choice and decided to live longer. He didn't touch it rather he focused on driving.

Whenever my girl was mad at me I felt like a kid who was trying to get his mom's attention, I asked her how I could make up for my mistake but she told me to leave her alone, like I would do that.
I called the same guy that dressed her the last time and he was already waiting inside for her.
" Gabby! So happy to see you again," She said as she walked to him and hugged him. I wished she could treat me like that right now but getting affection from her was currently under lockdown.
" I'm glad you're happy to see me, I'm so happy I get to dress a beauty like you again," He said as he patted her on the cheek before he took her hand.
" Come let's go, we better start now, I want to take my time dressing you," He said as they both ran upstairs laughing. Why did I bring him hear again? Yeah, to dress her.
I walked to my room and then walked to the bathroom to take a shower.
I looked at my face in the mirror and decided to make my beard look neater, ever since Anna told that Indian man she liked his beard I decided to grow mine, anything for her. Although she hasn't said anything about it yet.
When I was done with my beard I walked into the room with a towel wrapped around my waist as I walked into my closet.
I would be wearing a black suit with a white shirt. I decided to skip the bow or tie, as I didn't want to feel strangled. I picked my black leather shoes and put them on and within minutes I was ready as I neatly styled my hair back.
I walked out of the room heading to where Anna was dressing, I knocked but didn't get any response so I pushed the door open and immediately I froze at what I saw.
