Chapter 74- Final Warning
“ Dad, why are you scaring my secretary, what's wrong with you?" Cole asked as he quickly rushed to his father and his father stopped before turning to him.
“ Hmm," his father hummed before looking at me one last time and then walking into Cole's office,
“ Are you okay baby?" He whispered and I nodded,
“ Yeah, I'm fine, go meet your Dad," I said to him with a smile although my heart was beating inside my chest like it would come out,
“ Sorry about my Dad, I'll go see what he wants so he can leave sooner," he said and I nodded.
" Hurry, go before he suspects something,” I said, he looked at me like he wanted to pull me over and kiss me but stopped himself as he smiled before turning away from me and going back into his office
That was intense.
I walked back to my office as I sat down with a sigh. I'm sure Cole takes after his Mom. She was so sweet and I feel relax anytime I'm near her but his dad, it was like a prey, predator game.
I just hope Coal was doing okay in there with him.

“You didn't tell me you were coming,” I said to my dad as I walked to my chair and sat down,
" Nobody told me I needed to book an appointment to see my son,” he said and I couldn't help but groan, he was going to start another fight again,
" We just saw each other last night and if I can remember it didn't go too well, so I'm surprised why you're in my office,” I said,
" You think I'm blind?" he said.
“ I don't think so Dad, what are you going on about?" I asked,
“ That girl, what is going on between the two of you?" he asked,
" What girl?”
" Oh cut that crap, your secretary,” he said and I bursted into laughter,
" So because I stopped you from scaring the shit out of my secretary you suddenly think that there's something going on between us?” I asked,
" Okay, let's assume there's nothing going on between the two of you, fire her and take Mirabel as your secretary,” he said and I couldn't help but laugh once again,
" Dad, I'm sure there's something important that brought you to my office and it has nothing to do with Mirabel or my assistant so let's get to it,” I said but he shook his head looking like that's exactly what brought him to my office.
“ You haven't answered me, I said fire your secretary and take Mirabel instead or have her transferred to another office," he said,
“ You want me to fire someone who gets the job done perfectly well for someone who knows nothing about the job, someone I'll have to baby, you're not being serious dad, I can't do that," he said,
“ I just said you could have her transferred," he said and I shook my head,
“ I'm still not gonna do that Dad, the answer is no, I'm not going to fire or transfer Anna, that's final. I never had a say in who you're allowed to work with you or not,” I said,
“ I see," he said but those simple words held a lot of meaning.
“ Dad, just tell me why you came here, I've got work to do,” I said as I watched him open his bag before he brought out a document and dropped it on my table.
" This is a document with everything that would be ours if you marry Mirabel," he said and I couldn't help but scoff,
“ So it is really about business, you're ridiculous dad,"
“ Watch your tongue," he said,
“ We're good at what we do dad, and if the Oscars think that we are going to be good business partners then we can do that, there doesn't have to be any marriage for that to happen," I said,
" Look at that document, you'll understand what I mean,” he said before standing up and I did the same,
“ I'll look into the document but I'm still going to tell you that anything that involves marriage, count me out," I said,
" Young man, you're going to listen to me or you're going to regret this stubbornness of yours,” he said as he put his hands in his pocket,
“ I'm not going to regret anything, I know what I'm doing and the last thing I'll let you do is force me to do what I don't want," I said,
" Fine, if you say so,” he said before he started walking to the door and I followed him so he wouldn't do something as crazy as turning to Anna's office.
He opened the door and walked out and I followed him until he reached the elevator.
“ Good bye Dad," I said as I watched the elevator closing, I noticed that his eyes weren't on me but rather on something behind me and I turned to see that it was Anna.
I turned back to him and I quickly caught a look on his face before the elevator finally closed.
He must have his suspicion, I know him.
“ Are you okay, what did he talk to you about?" Anna asked as she walked to me,
" I'm okay, and you, are you okay?” I asked and she nodded as her eyes went to the elevator like my Dad would suddenly come back and I couldn't help but chuckle,
" He's gone now, he won't come back," I said as we both started walking to my office,
“ Your dad is pretty scary," she said,
“ You can say that again but don't let him intimidate you, he'll feast on your fear,” I said,
" I don't mean to pry but he looked pretty serious when he walked in here, is everything alright?" she asked,
" Yes, everything is absolutely fine, my dad is always like that, he wants people to fear him so he thinks looking serious and scary would do that,” I said,
" Are you sure?” she asked in worry.
I really didn't know what to do right now, should I just tell her about the marriage and everything going on right now? Would that be better?
But what if… No, I have to tell her, that's the best option.
“ Anna the thing is…
