Chapter 108- Nightmare From the Past
Four years later.
I jumped up with a gasp from the terrible nightmare I just had, the same nightmare that has plagued me for the past four years now. Every single night it's like I'm taken back to that terrible day when my son was stolen from me.
The day a hole was created in my heart that only my son can fill.
That day when I had been calm enough and they told me that there was CCTV footage of someone taking my son, they had searched and searched and all efforts to find him proved abortive. I just held him once and that was it. Someone took him away from me.
It's been four years now and there still wasn't a trace of my son. It was like he never even existed.
My Andrew, my poor baby, taken away from his mom before he even had the opportunity to know what it's like to feel the love of a mother.
Four years of searching for him, four years of praying and hoping. Waiting for the day that I'll meet my son again. I could just feel it in my heart that he was somewhere out there.
I wiped the tears in my eyes as I climbed down from bed. I had a busy day today and I couldn't be late.
I walked to the bathroom as I removed the night gown I had on and got under the shower. I couldn't help but close my eyes as the water hit my skin, calming my nerves.
I got out of the shower as I dried my skin before I wrapped the towel around my body and one on my head as I walked out of the bathroom.
I walked into my closet to get something to wear. I looked through the numerous outfits I have until I decided on a blue two piece suit and white inner.
I got dressed as I did my hair in a slick all back before I sprayed my perfume and wore matching blue heels as I walked out of the closet.
“ Good morning Miss Frederick, your flight leaves for Texas in two hours," my assistant Cherry said in her normal cheery voice.
“ I'm ready,” I said as I walked out of the room with her following behind me.
" Bella sent you roses,” she said and I stopped,
" Where are they? Bring them to me,”I said and she nodded with a smile before walking away to get the flowers.
Bella is married with her two years old daughter, my little Angel but yet she doesn't miss out on any important thing happening in my life.
“ Here you go," Cherry said as she handed me the roses and I smelt them with a smile. This might just be the good luck I need.
“ And before I forget, Mr Johnson said…”
" I'll be escorting you to Texas,” she was suddenly caught off by Liam, my friend who wants to be more than friends.
" I'll wait outside,” my assistant said before she walked away leaving us two.
" We've talked about this Liam, I'm going to Texas for business and you don't need to worry about me, I've not been to that city for four years now, I can't keep shutting opportunities just because I had some sort of bad memory there, it's all in the past now,” I said and he sighed.
"That still doesn't change the fact that I'm coming with you,” he said leaving no room for argument and I knew that I had no choice but to accept his offer.
" Fine, if that's what you want, you're coming with me to Texas, what could possibly go wrong?”
