Chapter 109- Back To Texas
The moment my feet touched the soil of Texas it felt like I was electrocuted and I just stopped as I fought for control with my mind, I refuse to think of the past. It was called the past for a reason and it should remain that way.
“ Are you okay?" I heard Liam ask, bringing me out of my thoughts.
“ Yeah, I am, it's just the feeling of coming here after such a long time, I'm fine,” I said and he nodded before he opened the car door for me and I got in muttering a thank you.
He got in too as my assistant took the front passenger's seat and then the driver started the car, driving us to the hotel.
“ Miss Frederick, I'm so excited for this, after almost four years of staying in the shadows you're finally going to show yourself to the world, I'm so honored to be your assistant," Cherry said happily.
After the incident of losing my son, I almost gave up on life but I found hope. I never knew I had a passion for making perfumes until I started working with my parents. I'd bury myself in work for hours trying to create something new and then I started creating different scents.
I didn't take it seriously until my parents told me there was a high demand for my perfumes. I agreed to work for them and share my creation to the world on the condition that they never tell the world about me. That I am the reason behind the perfumes.
My parents have gone on several interviews and whenever they ask about my perfumes they'd say it's not their creation but they can't tell who the real owner is for personal reasons and I'm grateful.
My family's small perfume business is now one of the most talked about in the world and the growth was so shocking to even me.
I'm here in Texas because I had been getting a lot of invitations from a popular broadcasting company but I haven't accepted any until Bella talked me into accepting it. She was right, I had to forget the past and welcome new doors.
So obviously I was in Texas to reveal my identity. This would be big for the broadcasting company because I was a big shot to them.
The car stopped in front of the hotel and the door was opened for me and I stepped out.
Liam and Cherry stepped out as we walked into the hotel together.
“ I'll check us in," Cherry said as she walked to the reception.
We waited for her and then some minutes later she walked to us with our key cards. The television company offered to take care of the hotel but I told them no. I was okay with keeping a low profile till tomorrow which is when I'll be doing my interview.
We got into the elevator as Liam pressed the button for our floor.
“ I need to rest a little. Cherry can you confirm some information with the television company and get back to me? I need to know exactly the questions they're asking me, you know I've lost the will to control my anger, I don't want to get angry," I said,
“ Okay ma'am," she said before walking to her room.
“ Liam let's talk later, I need to rest,” I said as I kissed his cheek and he nodded before walking away.
Liam just needs to understand that I wasn't ready to go into any relationship, he's been there for me but I don't feel anything for him except friendship.
I've told him to look for another woman but he's just so stubborn.
I sighed before making my way to my room, I just got here but I couldn't wait to leave.
