Chapter 126- Secrets Uncovered

Although I couldn't see his face, I couldn't mistake the voice. How could he have a hand in this? I thought...I thought. I was just so fucking confused.

" I thought you told me you changed? Then why are you here?" I asked and he laughed, a crazed type of laughter, like someone who has lost it.

" You thought I changed, you're so funny Anna, after what you did to me?" he said as he moved closer to me and I caught a little glimpse of his face, despite the darkness.

" You ruined my life," he said,

" I did no such thing," I said as I struggled on the chair.

" Really, you did nothing, are you fucking forgetting the fact that I was sent to a mental asylum because of you?" he asked in a dangerous voice that sent shivers down my spine.

" You brought it upon yourself, that was the right place for you because you were fucking crazy," I said and he laughed.

" I'm going to show you crazy," he said as he started walking towards me.

" Stay where you are Derick don't fucking come close to me, think about your wife, think about your daughter, they wouldn't want you to do this," I said and he paused before he started laughing. This guy was still sick in the head.

" You believe that? You really believed that..." he said as he continued laughing.

" I knew you were so soft and I came up with the normal guy story who is now married with a family and you believed it," he said as he suddenly stopped laughing and dread filled me at the eerie silence that filled the room.

" You don't seem to know what you did to me, do you?" he asked as his hand suddenly came for my neck and I groaned.

" The world didn't treat me the same anymore, they only fucking saw me as the crazy guy and you know whose fault it is? You? It's all you?!" he screamed in my face but there wasn't any way out for me. Why was he blaming me? It's all his doing and I had nothing to do with

" I started thinking of a way to get back to you, cause you more pain than you caused me so when my partner brought an offer to me, I couldn't refuse," he said as he started moving back.

" Partner?" I asked in confusion.

" Yes, partner, don't worry, you'll meet each other soon," he said before I heard him walk away and the door shut with a bang.

********

It's been more than forty eight hours already and there still wasn't any sign of Anna. I was worried and I've called any possible person I know who could help me but so far I haven't gotten any reasonable feedback, not even from the police.

I stepped out of my car with a sigh as I wore my dark shades before entering the hospital. A different hospital from the one we used to go to because obviously Mirabel bought them all.

I didn't confront her about the news I got about her not being able to give birth, I just went ahead to do my own findings.

I had no doubt that Sammy was my son. That's why I didn't bother about doing a DNA test to confirm if he was my child because he was, but as for Mirabel, I wasn't so sure.

I just had to make my own findings before I kick into action so I'd have enough evidence when it's time to fight.

Mirabel fooled me, she played with me right before my eyes and I didn't even notice.

I knocked on the doctor's door and I heard him tell me to come in.

"Mr Leonard?" he said and I nodded with a smile.

" Hello doctor," I greeted as I shook his hand.

" Please have a seat," he offered,

" Thank you," I said as I sat down, looking at him expectantly.

He opened the drawer in front of him and brought out a file and then he passed it to me.

Without wasting time I opened it and started going through it, and with each discovery I did, it drew me to one conclusion.

How didn't I ever notice? How?

She wasn't Sammy's mother, which draws me to the conclusion that Sammy might be Anna's missing son.

Our missing son.

And his life might be in danger right now.
