Chapter 15 #4

“I know, I know… just one more… one more minute…” he panted heavily, his muscles completely taught as he started to fuck me like a man crazed.

He gripped me hard, slamming into me again and again, like he was hoping to leave a mark behind.

He bit at my throat, sucking on it, and kissed me so deep that I felt light-headed.

“Oh God, I love you so fucking much!” He reached down and began strumming on my clit, causing me to scream just as that orgasm he’d been denying me suddenly exploded.

Wave after wave hit my body like a current, unstoppable, and Vail was relentless as he kept going until he gave one final thrust and, with a loud groan, came and collapsed on top of me, his head on my chest.

We both laid there, gasping and sweaty, and I could feel my legs twitch each time he shifted against me, though he hadn’t pulled out yet.

“I love you, too,” I told him.

“I know.”

I wanted to smack him upside the back of his head, but I couldn’t, so I just sniggered and rolled my eyes. “You’re still hard,” I said, noticing he still hadn’t pulled out yet.

“Of course I am. I’ve been dreaming about claiming this pussy for years.

I told you I sent the others out so I could have you to myself for the day, and I fucking meant it.

” He reached over for the silk wrapped around my left hand.

“Now I’m gonna untie you, but then I wanna lie back and watch you bounce on my cock for the next fifteen minutes.

” He slid them free with a simple pull of the knot and gave me a long, lingering kiss.

“I want to play out every fucking fantasy I’ve had of you at least two times over. ..”

“Okay, this is serious. I need everyone to sit down and shut it for ten minutes, okay?” Vail stood before us, while Lee, Shaw, and I all sat on the couch, and Meredith and Haldon were snuggled together in an armchair, but for some reason, she seemed nervous.

Since this had been so out of character for her, it also put me on edge.

I was about to go over and sit on her other side, but Lee kept me in my seat on his lap in one of the loungers.

When I tried to get up again, he reached under my shirt to tickle my sides.

I bit my lip, trying not to scream in a fit of laughter, and smacked his arm.

“Can you not?” Vail raised his brows, arms crossed over his chest, watching as Lee continued with his attack, intent on making me crack.

If it had been three days ago, I was sure he would have stormed over here and snatched me out of his arms, but after spending all day literally fucking me everywhere he could in the house, I thoughthe may have made his point.

He’d share me with his brothers because he loved them, and he knew I needed them as much as they needed me.

But he had made it clear that it would be him and me officially on paper in the end.

And he kept his promise about me not being able to fucking walk right after.

There were bruises between my thighs, hickeys on my throat, which Meredith was quick to point out with a giggle, and every time I sat down, I would wince in pain.

So with Lee relentlessly tickling me right now, every time I squirmed, I felt that ache between my thighs.

“Enough, please…” Vail raised his eyes to the ceiling, as though begging a higher power for some patience. Lee stopped, pulling me in tight and nuzzling behind my neck. I gave him one last little slap and muttered, “Douche-canoe,” to which he chuckled.

“Straight to it, then.” Vail turned to Meredith and Haldon, getting ready to catch them up on everything, “Maverick’s informant claims that the Beasts will definitely be out of the city Monday night.

La Maison Rouge will be easier to infiltrate without a fucking MC patrolling the house or the area,” Vail said, leaning back against the wall.

All morning, Vail was on the phone with Maverick, and when he was done, he immediately reached out to Haldon and Meredith, the closest members of Vendetta, to bring them in to discuss the next “gameplan.”

“This is a guarantee?” Haldon asked seriously, his black brows pulling close together. “At the docks, that crazy biker showed up with practically all the Beasts-”

“I know, I know…” Vail said gently as Haldon’s French accent started to get a little thicker the more upset he was.

He squeezed Meredith around her middle, hugging her close.

She leaned in to him, one hand reaching up so that she was stroking one long lock of his beautiful shiny black hair over and over until the tension left him.

“Look, the informant tried to give us a heads up, but we’d turned our phones off, yeah?

We didn’t want calls while we were scouting.

Something went down at the clubhouse, and they were called out last minute. ”

“So?” Haldon pressed on, “Can we guarantee that won’t happen at La Maison Rouge?”

“Maverick and what’s left of the Spades will be there. Which brings me to the plan…”

I observed Meredith carefully, as that earlier anxiety seemed to have returned to her. She had released Haldon’s hair, and her hands were back in her lap, fingers tightly clasped, her eyes on the floor as she listened to Vail.

“The shit thing is… I don’t know how many of them saw me at the warehouse.

” Vail sounded pissed at this. “I’m sure Hunter recognized me there, and he would have told any of the Faceless who I was.

My cover at La Maison Rouge is no good. Lee has agreed to go instead.

This means I’ll be on guard with Maverick and the Spades while Shaw works his magic getting into the basement.

If we can prove the girls are being held there, we can go to the next phase and figure out how to save them and nail Elias for the shit he’s done.

Thank fuck we have the MC backing us.” He ran his fingers through his hair, clearly stressed to shit.

For the first time since I’d been back, Vail let his crew see the strain that holding leadership was having on him.

“And if we find nothing?” I asked quietly, worried about the alternative.

Vail grimaced. “Then we have to check out the docks again…”

“We’ve already searched there.” Haldon was not happy hearing this. “Any time we’ve looked into the warehouses along his private quay, one of us has gotten hurt, or nearly caught. It’s too dangerous. I can’t go back there.”

Vail didn’t argue with him. He merely nodded and gawped at Meredith, brows raised, waiting.

Meredith released a long, shaky breath, avoiding his eyes.

“I want to keep helping. You guys know I do. But I can’t risk going back into La Maison Rouge.

” She gripped a handful of her hair, playing with it nervously, twisting the blue strands around her fingers.

“I can’t risk leaving Amelie without a mother,” she said finally.

No one said anything for a minute, but Vail broke the silence first. “Mer… I will never ask you or Haldon to do something you don’t want to do. It’s okay. We’ll work around this, alright?”

“I know it’s last minute, but-”

“No, it’s fine. Alright?”

“I still want to help-”

“And you will.” Vail’s voice was gentle, but firm, as he cut her off.

“You can help, but not where you feel uncomfortable. What was one of the top rules I made clear when joining Vendetta? I won’t make you guys do something you aren’t cool with…

but you need to tell me ahead of time, so it doesn’t jeopardize anyone else.

So, it’s okay, Mer. I’m glad you said something now. ”

Meredith buried her face in her hands, head bowed over her knees and shivered.

I couldn’t tell if she was crying or not as Haldon stroked small circles across her back.

When she raised her head, there were small, wet trails on her cheeks, and she got to her feet, marching right over to Vail, where she threw her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. “Thank you… thank you…”

“It’s okay. We have you guys’ backs, alright? That includes Amelie.”

He hugged her back for a minute before she finally let go and offered him a shaky smile before returning to Haldon, who looked equally relieved. “So… who will be going in with Lee?” she asked, and the moment she did, I already had an answer.

“Me, obviously,” I said easily.

Beneath me, Lee tensed ever so slightly, and Vail’s gaze darkened a little as he slowly focused on me, as if I'd gone nuts. But it was Shaw whose reaction was the most explosive. He sat up, throwing his hood back as he leaned forward in his chair, glaring hard at me beneath his mop of hair.

“I appreciate that, Casey… but what these men do is seriously fucked up-” Meredith started to say when she had been cut off again, only this time, by Shaw.

“You aren’t fucking going in there,” he said, as though this was final.

“Of course, I am. You guys need someone you trust to go with Lee. And I can assume that since Meredith was originally going in, you need a girl, yes? Well, hello!” I waved at them all, as though I’d been invisible this entire time and was only now making an entrance.

“I know I’ve been away for some time, but I’m not a fragile little snowflake.

Meredith, you can coach me on what to do, and I’ll be with Lee. I-”

“You aren’t going in there I said,” Shaw interrupted me, his voice deep, the raspy whisper more evident than ever.

I raised my brows to Vail, needing him to make the call. Because no matter what I said, I felt like Shaw wouldn’t be able to hear it.
