ch 44 Air of whistle
TWO DAYS LATER,
Ashiana was walking in garden area from canteen area towards the office building.
then suddenly a cruel uneasy psycho type whistle sound came from behind, Ashiana froze.
she clutched the bag strap tightly a chill ran through her spine suddenly air seems heavy her pulse quicken she gathered strength and turns back immediately and looks back
but
No one was there she quickly looks here from there but nothing.
then she quickly turns and starts to walk then again she listens that whistle sound again she turns again but no one there.
then she saw the bushes at garden were brushing like some one there she swallowed hard and walks at there then suddenly a cat ran from it.
''ahh..'' she flinched back in fear her eyes wide fear ran through her body.
but
she let out a shaky breath, pressing a hand to her chest . "God... just a cat,"
she whispered, forcing a nervous laugh that didn't quite reach her eyes. The little creature darted away, tail high, vanishing into the hedges.
But something still felt... off.
The air around me was too still, the silence that followed that whistle almost too quiet.
she adjusted her bag on her shoulder and began walking faster toward the glass doors of the building. her heels clicked against the marble path, echoing louder than usual, like each step was being counted by someone unseen.
The back of her neck prickled.
That uneasy sense the one that tells her you're being watchedcrawled down her spine.
It's nothing, Ashiana. You're overthinking again, she told herself. It's just nerves. You've been through worse.
hey bhagwaan ye sab kyaa ho rhaa zindagi m thoda acha hota h aur aap Ekta kapoor ke serial ki tarah twist p twist diye jaa rhe ho
(ohh god, what happening in my when everything just starts to fell in place you starts give twists like Ekta kapoor's serials)
Yet her fingers wouldn't stop trembling.
And when she reached the door and caught her reflection in the glass, she could swear for just a flicker of a second someone else's shadow passed behind her.
she spun around.
Nothing. Just the wind brushing through the garden leaves.
then outside the aarav's cabin
Ashiana holding door' s handle files in other hand she exhales saying. '' Relax ashiana.. you can't tell him anything untill you are sure.. ''
then she smiles and enters in and sees aarav was doing hi work.
Aarav sensed its Ashiana he looks up at her and smiles. she goes at him and sits on his arm of his seat and wraps her arms around his neck saying '' Aarav.. can we just stay like this for few moments.
He wraps his arm at her waist and pulls her on his lap. her head rest on his chest. "Rough day?" he murmured, his voice low, steady the kind that always made the world quiet for her.
she shook her head faintly. "No... I just..." her words trailed off as she pressed her forehead against his shoulder, feeling his warmth seep into me. "I just wanted to feel this. For a moment. Just us... no chaos, no fears."
He said nothing only held her tighter, thumb brushing slow circles on her arm. The sound of the ticking clock filled the space between them.
For a few minutes, there was nothing no past, no shadows, no threatening whistles. Just his quiet breathing against her hair and the safety she'd begun to crave far too much.
Then, without looking up, I whispered almost to myself, "I wish moments like this could last forever..."
then after few minutes she looked up at him and pokes his arms teasingly saying ''OHH ... My Man .. look your muscles... just uuff.. - she kissed him then'' uff- she kissed him again''uff, uff, uff, uffff.. she kissed him on every 'uff', playfully.
Aarav let out a low chuckle, the kind that rumbled in his chest. He tilted his head slightly to look at her, amusement dancing in his eyes.
"Oh really?" he said, voice half-teasing, half-warned. "Miss Ashiana thinks flattery will get her out of work?"
she grinned, still trailing soft kisses along his cheek, each one punctuated with an exaggerated, "uff..." until he caught her chin between his fingers, forcing her to meet his gaze.
"Keep doing that," he murmured, his lips curving dangerously close to a smile, "and I might just forget we're in the office."
she laughed softly, leaning closer, whispering near his ear, "Then forget, Mr. Malhotra... just for a moment."
Ashiana' eyes flicks from his lips to his eyes her voice husky, '' So, are you forgetting.. or should I go back to my work then don't message me again saying 'Ashiana in my cabin. NOW'.. ''
she bites his lower lip softly, teasingly.
Aarav's breath hitched, his hand instinctively tightening around her waist. His eyes flickered between her lips and her eyes, a storm of control and desire mixing in his gaze.
"Oh really?" he said in a low, rough tone. "Now you're setting conditions, hmm?"
Ashiana smiled faintly, brushing her nose against his. "Maybe... depends on your answer, Mr. Malhotra.''
Then Aarav tilted his head slightly closer, his voice barely above a whisper, "You walk out that door, Ashiana... and I will call you again. And again. Because forgetting you—" his lips brushed mine, "—is not something I plan to do."
The world seemed to hold its breath as the distance between them vanished, and his lips finally claimed her in a kiss that said everything words couldn't.
then she bites his lower lip in between saying murmuring '' and what if i not came back''
Aarav's jaw tensed, his breath catching as her teeth grazed his lip.
His hand slid up the curve of her back, holding her there close enough to feel the heat rolling off him.
His voice dropped, deep and rough, "Then I'll pull you over my shoulder and bring back to me, Ashiana."
He leaned closer, his forehead brushing her, eyes locked on her with that dark promise. " And You really think, you can just walk away after driving me insane like this?"
Ashiana smiled, teasing, "Excuse me, don't challenge me, Mr. Malhotra... i can do that reaallyy"
He exhaled a sharp breath, fingers curling against her waist. "Don't test me," he murmured, the words half-warning, half-confession.
The air between us pulsed with unspoken heat, every heartbeat daring the next move.
then he curls his fingers tightly on both sides of her waist. her breath hitched.
then he made her sit on desk and throwing all the things from desk on floor.
she gasps before she could say something, he lays her on the desk and ping her hand bove the head Ashiana's eyes wide saying''Aara.. Aarav...''
Aarav smirk saying '' so, what were you saying .. hann..'' he said going closer.
Ashiana says, '' so.. someone-''.
she barely got the word out before he silenced her, his lips claiming her in a kiss that was all fire and frustration all the things we'd both tried to hide.
her fingers tangled in his hair as the world spun out of focus.
The kiss deepened desperate, unspoken emotions pouring out in that single moment.
It wasn't just passion it was everything we'd never said, everything they'd fought against finally breaking free.
When they finally parted,
breathless, Ashiana looked up at him her heart pounding so fast it hurt.
"Aarav..." she whispered, voice trembling, "what are we doing to each other?"
He looked down at her, his breath still uneven, eyes dark but softer than ever before.
"Losing control," he said quietly, his thumb brushing my cheek.
"Every time you're near, I forget who I'm supposed to be."
He paused, searching my eyes as if the answer to all his chaos lay there.
"You make me feel things I buried a long time ago, Ashiana. And that scares the hell out of me."
Ashiana smiles softly brushing her thumb at corner of his lips saying,
'' And I am, madly in love with you Aarav.. I can't tell you how much I love you''
He froze for a heartbeat the kind of stillness that comes before his gaze fixed on her, eyes flickering with something raw.
Then, slowly, he exhaled, his hand coming up to cup her jaw, thumb tracing her lips as if memorizing the words she just said.
"Ashiana..." he whispered, voice deep and rough, "you shouldn't say things like that unless you mean them with your soul."
She smiled faintly, brushing her thumb again at the corner of his mouth, eyes glistening yet steady.
"I do," she murmured, "every heartbeat... every breath... it's all you."
His composure cracked completely the man known for control, for silence he leaned in, his forehead resting against hers.
"Then you're mine," he said quietly, possessively, "and I'm never letting you go again."
then after few minutes when straightens.
