Chapter 10 Forever

Groaning as I placed my hand on my side, I leaned against the wall to hold myself upright as I made my way to the living room.

My heart was beating like a banjo as sweat poured down my face.

Janelle was here, in my home, in the woods.

Though she’s been here many times, this is the first time she’s been here since I started fucking her man.

Taking a deep breath, I prepared myself to face Janelle’s wrath. What I didn’t expect was the entire crew, minus Ashley, to be in attendance. Dressed down in sweats with a glare that told me it was about to be some furniture moving, I prepared myself for the backlash I was about to face.

“W-What are you doing in my house?” I croaked, easing my way to the sofa. I scanned the room and noticed Donovan was nowhere to be found. “And who the fuck kicked my door off the hinges?”

“I did,” Trevor boldly stated as he stood on the opposite side of the room.

He’s never been a flamboyant man, but today, he looked more heterosexual than I’d ever seen him before.

The mug on his face was damn near as deadly as Janelle’s.

“That raggedy-ass door should be the least of your worries right now.” Pushing off the wall, he moved closer toward Janelle and Abby.

“Where the fuck is that nigga so I can beat his ass too. Since you both wanted to be trifling together, you might as well get your ass beat as one.”

Scoffing, I winced as I turned to face Janelle.

Her usually beautiful face was now riddled with sadness.

Her stunning brown eyes, which usually shone with love and happiness, were now puffy from sadness and tears.

She panted rapidly as she glared at me, her fists clenching and releasing with every breath she took.

“How the fuck could you do this to me?” Her voice broke as she stepped my way.

“I loved you as if you were my sister. When everyone picked on you, calling you a fuckin’ freak, I stuck beside you.

I loved you, Sabrena. Out of all the niggas in this city, in the fuckin’ world, you had to go and fuck Donovan.

You knew how much I loved him!” she screamed as the tears streamed down her face.

“Your pathetic ass couldn’t get your own man, so you had to steal mine?

” She stuck her nose up as she looked me over.

“Looks like your karma got to you before I did. No worries, though, I’m about to wear your ass out some more. ”

Throwing her keys on the coffee table next to her, she glared at me with fire in her eyes before she lunged in my direction.

Unable to physically fight, I waved my right hand, summoning what little magic I had left, and threw her across the room into a bookshelf.

Abby screamed from a mixture of shock and fear as she ran over to assist her friend.

“You think you’re going to come into my house and get some straightening about my man.

” I slowly stood from my recliner and made my way over to Janelle.

“You say I’m pathetic, but your man chose me!

” I shouted, flicking my left wrist to lift her into the air.

She had every right to be angry, but insinuating I couldn’t get my own man pissed me off.

“Donovan loves me and not you, Janelle. Deal with it! He chose me! He fucks and makes love to me!” I waved my hand from left to right, throwing her from wall to wall.

“I finally won! I’m no longer the witch bitch without a man! I have yours!”

“Bitch, let her go—”

Crack!

With the snap of my fingers, I cracked Trevor’s neck, making him fall to the ground like a sack of potatoes. Dropping Janelle to the ground, I watched as she groaned in pain and crawled over to a lifeless Trevor.

“You’re an evil-ass bitch!” She lay her head on his chest, crying over his lifeless body. “He was our friend, Sabrena. You killed him!”

“Yep, and you’re next!” I levitated over to her.

Abby’s scary ass was still crying in the corner.

“I will never come second to you or anyone else ever again. You should have bowed out gracefully.” I landed before her, kneeling and lifting her chin to bring her wet eyes to mine.

“Now, not only did I take your man, but now I will take your life.”

Grabbing her by the neck, I used all of my strength to squeeze the life from her. On a normal day, Janelle could have very well beaten my ass. Since they wanted to keep referring to me as a witch bitch, I was going to show them exactly what this witch could fucking do.

“Donovan will never be yours.” She clawed at my hand, tears still streaming down her face. “His heart will always belong to me.”

“While his soul is mine.” I grinned, watching the life leave her eyes. “He’s mine, and I will have my happily ever after. Too bad you won't be around—”

Feeling a burning sensation in my scalp, I was yanked backward and flew toward the opposite side of the room.

Wheezing from what I knew was another broken rib that had now punctured my lung, I groaned from the pain that coursed through my entire body.

Lifting from the floor as best as I could, my eyes burned from tears that had nothing to do with the physical pain I was also enduring.

“Are you okay, Janelle?” Donovan’s raspy voice was clearer than it had been in weeks. “Let me help you up.”

Picking her up in his arms, I watched as he handled her with nothing but care. How could this be? He is supposed to love and only want me. How dare he show affection toward that bitch!

“D-Donovan?” she spoke above a whisper. She eyed him over as he lay her on the sofa as if she would break at any moment. “How could you do this to me?” She gasped, snatching herself from his embrace once reality hit her. “Your eyes!”

Stepping back from her, he placed his hands in his joggers, dropping his head momentarily before turning them toward me.

They were no longer blackened like they were moments earlier; they glowed a bright orange with the shadows still dancing in the background.

Although they were menacing, they held conflict, and I could still see the love he had for my former best friend.

“J-Janelle, I-I’m sorry.” He rubbed the back of his neck, looking away from her.

“I never meant to hurt you, but I love Sabrena. I can’t explain it, but my soul is bound to her.

I want to be with her for eternity, even though I don’t know why.

You need to move on and be happy with someone else—someone that isn’t me. ”

I couldn’t help but beam with pride as he walked over to me, helping me from the floor. His eyes flashed a bright red, causing my smile to falter. The love that shone for her wasn’t there for me.

“What did you do to him, bitch?” she cried, weakly standing from the couch.

Abby wept by her side as she wrapped her arms around her.

“Our lives were perfect, Donovan! We planned a life together.” She walked over toward her purse and snatched it open before throwing something at his face.

“I’ve been calling you. I wanted to show you this.

The one thing we wanted the most, you gave to me. ”

Frowning at her in confusion, he looked down at his feet, where the object landed. I couldn’t help the anguish I felt once I saw what it was she’d thrown. As he picked it up and I got a better look, my blood boiled at the sight of him reading the positive pregnancy test.

“Y-You’re pregnant?” he asked, giving her his attention. “Janelle, you’re having my baby?”

“I guess we will never know.” She snatched her purse, gripping Abby’s arm.

“You’ve made your choice, Donovan, and now it’s time for me to make mine.

” Turning to face me, her eyes were no longer tearful but filled with hate.

“You’re a deceitful and grimy bitch. Ashley is in intensive care with a ruptured esophagus because of you.

She will never be able to argue another case.

Trevor’s life had been cut short, and when I leave here, I will be calling the cops.

I hope you and Donovan have the life you deserve.

You’ve made my life a living hell, you jealous, filthy, worthless-ass witch.

I hope you die. I hope every day you live in your own personal hell. ”

“Fuck you!” I shouted as she reached the door, causing her to glance over her shoulder at me.

My fists balled in anger, and all I wanted to do was beat her pretty face in.

“You need to face the fact that I won!” I smirked as I stepped her way.

“The night of Ash’s party, I fucked your man in her bathroom, and it was the best dick I ever had! ”

Her eyes turned into slits as she dragged her furious gaze toward Donovan.

He was still staring at the test. I was beaten, on the verge of dying, and unwilling to quit; she would know everything before she left my cabin.

I would not be anchored with the burden of my wrongdoings.

In some twisted way, I felt as if this was all her fault.

Had she kept a better grasp on Donovan, the universe would have never revealed him to be mine.

“Did I work my magic on him for it to happen? Yes, but it’s nothing compared to the way he’s been working this pussy.

So yes, I may have had a little help in securing him, but so what?

He’s mine now, and this is where he belongs!

” I threw my head back and giggled uncontrollably at how things played out. “Things aren’t perfect, but he’s mine!”

The angrier I became, the more the lights in the room began to flicker.

The girls tried to leave the house, but the broken door slammed shut behind them, locking them in.

Not knowing if my power was causing the environmental shift or not, I kept going.

Janelle would not walk away from me until she admitted that I had won.
