Chapter 15
I’d been at the hotel for a couple of days when I got Knox’s text telling me to come home. It surprised me, but I won’t miss the opportunity to go home and sleep in my own bed. Being here hasn’t been all that terrible. I’ve spent most of my time stalking my little bird once I realized she was staying here. She hasn’t seen me yet; I’ve made sure of that. Stalking Meadow the past few days has really opened my eyes to how much of an idiot I am. She is so fucking amazing. I can’t believe I ruined everything because I let the past control me. But that ends today. I told Knox I had something to do before I came home. I need to make this right.
Stalking Meadow has been a blessing and a curse. I can see how much I broke her. But I do know her every move, and right about now, she should be entering the restaurant to eat. I don’t want to freak her out, but I need to get her to talk to me. My palms are starting to get clammy, and I nervously wipe them on my jeans. I make my way to the end of the bar and take a seat. I want to be out of sight when she walks in, so I don’t immediately spook her. I need her to order before I try and talk to her because Meadow won’t leave without her food. I keep my eye on the entrance, waiting for a glimpse of my girl, when I spot her walking in. She is wearing leggings that hug her fantastic frame, her hair is piled up in a messy bun, and she has her fucking glasses on. I am getting hard just looking at her. She is a fucking vision. Again, I can’t believe how utterly stupid I’ve been. I could have been living happy and been sticking my cock in her warm heat this entire time if only I had pulled my head out of my ass. But no, I had to go and be a fucking idiot.
Meadow takes a seat at the bar today, surprising me. Lately, she has been sitting at a table for two, so I hope she doesn’t look around and notice me. My plan will be fucked if she does. Luckily the bartender goes over to her, and Meadow puts in her order. Sighing in relief, I spend a few moments cataloging her features because this could be the last time I see her. Getting up and taking a deep breath, I make my way over to her.
