Chapter 275

A faint unease settled over Trey the moment Khloe stepped into the boardroom.

It wasn’t just her appearance—it was the way she carried herself.

Composed. Controlled. Distant.

Almost as if the room no longer belonged to him.

“Khloe…” he started, rising instinctively.

She didn’t look at him.

“Good morning, everyone.” Her voice was calm, clear, and carried easily across the long conference table. “I’m Khloe Roswell. I believe you’ve all been informed of recent changes in shareholding. Since there are also several internal issues affecting the company, I’ll keep this brief.”

She walked straight past Trey.

Past Arthur.

Neither of them received so much as a nod.

That alone made several executives shift uncomfortably in their seats.

Khloe stopped at the head of the table. She didn’t sit. She simply stood there and, with a slight tilt of her head, signaled to the people behind her.

Two lawyers stepped forward. One placed a document folder on the table; the other opened it with practiced precision.

“According to the legally binding equity transfer agreement and the company’s articles of association,” the lawyer began, voice steady and formal, “Miss Khloe Roswell now holds fifty percent of Fox Group shares. This makes her the largest individual shareholder. She is entitled to full governance rights, including executive and managerial authority, in accordance with corporate law.”

A low wave of murmurs spread through the room.

Fifty percent?

No one had heard of any acquisition. No negotiations. No warning.

Trey’s expression tightened. “Khloe, what is this supposed to mean?” His voice rose. “Even if you hold shares, you don’t get to walk in here and overturn everything without consulting my father.”

Arthur’s eyes sharpened, his expression cold but restrained. He clearly didn’t believe Khloe could truly challenge the Fox family structure so easily.

But Khloe finally turned her gaze to them.

It was not anger that met them.

It was indifference.

The kind that made people feel insignificant.

Trey took a step forward. “Let’s talk outside. Don’t do this in front—”

A lawyer quietly stepped sideways, blocking his path.

Khloe didn’t even glance at him.

Her voice cut through the room again.

“Due to repeated strategic misjudgments during his tenure as CEO and the reputational risk created by his personal conduct,” she said evenly, “I am formally submitting a motion.”

She paused just long enough for the room to go silent.

“It takes effect immediately.”

Then she looked up.

“Trey Fox is removed from all positions as CEO of Fox Group.”

For a second, no one reacted.

Then—

“What did you say?” Trey’s voice cracked through the silence. He stared at her like she had spoken a foreign language. “Khloe, have you lost your mind?”

His chair scraped violently as he stood.

“This is Fox Group! Not some toy you can take apart because you feel wronged!”

Arthur slammed his hand on the table. “Enough! This is outrageous!”

But Khloe didn’t flinch.

She simply continued, as if none of them had spoken.

“Furthermore, due to failure in governance oversight and tolerance of multiple high-risk decisions,” she added, her tone turning slightly colder, “Arthur Fox will also be suspended from all executive authority effective immediately.”

The room erupted into chaos.

Arthur froze. “You—!”

Trey’s face flushed with disbelief and rage. “You think owning shares means you can do whatever you want? Fox Group was built by the Fox family!

Khloe finally moved.

She turned slightly toward Trey, her expression calm, almost curious.

“Built by the Fox family?” she repeated softly.

A faint, humorless smile touched her lips.

“And when you used me as a shield for your mistakes?” she said. “When you let me clean up your messes while giving nothing back in return—was that also part of the Fox family’s foundation?”

Trey went still.

She didn’t wait for him to answer.

Her gaze shifted to Arthur.

“And you,” she said evenly, “who prioritize profit over everything else—no matter the cost, no matter the damage—did you ever stop to think about what kind of company you were actually building?”

Silence pressed down on the room again, heavier this time.

Khloe straightened.

Her voice landed cleanly, decisively, like the final stamp on a contract.

“From this moment onward,” she said, “Fox Group is under new management.”
