Chapter 11 Her Morning Routine
The next morning, after breakfast with my Girlfriend, I left for work like always.
In truth, I had taken the day off.
I simply wanted to give my Girlfriend space alone.
The moment I stepped out of the Hallway, I checked the Security Camera Feed on my phone.
The gentle expression on her face vanished instantly, replaced by something dark.
That look in her eyes was one I could only see through the Security Camera Feed.
Sharp. Cold. Gloomy.
She tied up her long hair, changed into fresh clothes, and applied light makeup.
Sun hat, sunglasses, mask, small bag, guide cane. Everything was perfect.
She went out still looking like a fragile Blind Person.
I waited at the downstairs corner. My plumber uniform let me blend in easily.
She walked the street as if aimlessly, yet she avoided every camera.
Her route was even more familiar than I had expected.
She finally stopped at Building 4 of Juyuan Residential Area.
Instead of taking the elevator, she walked up to the seventh floor.
The Hallway was empty. She paused at the door of 704.
She scanned the quiet space, then quickly pulled on gloves and shoe covers. Her movements were silent as a cat.
She skillfully removed the Peephole.
Then she took out a bent piece of Wire.
The Wire slipped through the hole and hooked the handle.
One gentle tug and the door opened.
She slipped inside, put the Peephole back, and closed the door quietly.
The entire process took less than a minute.
I watched from the shadows of the Stairwell. My chest tightened.
This lock-picking method was something I had learned from her.
