Chapter 32
Thirty-Two
Hayden
The boundaries I’ve set for myself since Marco talked with me in his office are getting blurry and hard to see.
It seems like after I touched her, so many things have changed. It’s like I need to touch her. It’s not a want, it’s a need.
Touching her has been one of my new favorite things to do. I realized that after I took her to Chris’s car and gave her one last all consuming kiss before letting her go.
It’s been two days since then and I have forced myself not to text or call her.
I want to sneak into her room and do things to her that make her eyes glossy and filled with lust but I need to control myself. When it comes to Jaclyn, I’m all over the place. It’s like I’m growing addicted to her .
Every kiss, every touch, and every breath we share is like one in a million and I can’t fucking stop.
That’s what I can’t stop thinking as I watch her put her skates on while smiling and laughing with Natalia at one of the benches.
“You good?” I turn my head and see Kayden raising an eyebrow at me in a questioning manner.
He has been a clingy asshole, trying to get information out of me and also provoking me with Jaclyn.
I found out they hung out a few days ago and I swear I saw fucking red. Kayden said that he likes Jaclyn and how she knows some things about cars. I know he’s doing it to piss me off because that’s what we do. I piss him off by wanting to know what he’s doing all the time and making sure he isn’t always street racing when drunk while he likes getting under my skin by talking or flirting with Jaclyn.
Jaclyn is in her own world when it comes to everyone but me. She doesn’t notice Kayden flirting with her because she doesn’t think anything of it.
I know that because I know Jaclyn.
“I’m fine,” I say as I tie the laces of my skates.
“Yea, sure, it seems like it as you watch her like you want to eat her.” I look at Kayden and glare at him which makes him just chuckle and shake his head lightly. “See you on the floor.”
Kayden skates towards the rink. I finish tying up my other skate before standing up and going to the rink.
The song, “Softcore” by The Neighborhood is playing on the speakers as people sing the lyrics while skating around the rink.
Natalia thought it would be fun to all go roller skating together. I didn’t say no because I found myself wanting to get a chance to be around Jaclyn any way I can even though I’m supposed to stay away from her.
My eyes go to Max who is racing with a random guy on the rink. I hope he falls and causes other people to trip on him.
That’ll make my night 100% more enjoyable than just watching Jaclyn from across the room.
At the thought of Jaclyn my eyes go to her as she slowly gets onto the rink while holding onto the railing that is bolted against the wall.
I skate my way towards her, not caring that I am cutting people off as I make my way to her. Once I’m close enough to her I grab her waist in my hands and pull her into my chest.
“Hayden!” She flinches and turns around. She swats my chest and glares at me. “You scared me and almost made me fall.”
I smile down at her lightly in a teasing way. “You looked like you were going to fall without me being here.”
“I haven’t skated in a while. I just need to slowly get back into it again,” Jaclyn says while trying to get out of my hold .
I still have my hands on her waist. I don’t want to let her go, I can’t.
She just feels so right in my hands. I can feel the goosebumps rise on her skin making me know for a fact that I affect her.
I like that.
A whistle makes me take my eyes off Jaclyn and glare at the guy who skates up to us. “You guys can’t stop in the rink. You have to skate, if you can’t then you have to get out of the rink.”
Before I could argue, Jaclyn puts a hand on my chest and smiles at the little shit. “Of course. He was just helping me.”
Jaclyn grabs my hand that was holding onto her waist and she starts to skate away while holding onto me.
“Little fucker,” I mutter while grabbing Jaclyn’s waist again as she holds onto the railing.
“He’s just doing his job. Why do you have to make everyone’s life harder?” I grip her waist harder making her squeal and turn around to look at me with flushed cheeks. I can’t help but smile down at her again. Seeing her like this makes that little thing in my chest shake but I ignore it. “Stop,” she says before turning around and grabbing the railing again. “You’re going to make me fall, Hayden.”
“Isn’t that the point, princess?”
“Instead of being an ass and just hovering over me, you should try to help me to make me put you on my good side.”
“Good side, huh?” I say while smiling down at her with a small smirk threatening to spill on my lips.
“I mean, if you’re on my good side maybe I’ll think about kissing you again since you’re so eager to touch me.”
Fire feels like it’s breaking out on my skin and I feel weird shit happen in my stomach.
I slide my hands down her body and lean down so my lips are caressing her ear. “Oh princess, I want to do more than just kiss you.”
Jaclyn shivers and turns her head to look at me, our lips are so close to each other that I want to lean down and close the remaining centimeter between us.
I am so tempted to make her mine all over again with just a single touch of my lips.
The moment doesn’t last long because we hear a whistle blow making me look away from Jaclyn and see the little motherfucker from earlier skate up to us.
“And PDA is definitely not allowed on the floor. Skate or else you’re out.”
Jaclyn grabs onto my hand and wraps it around her waist preventing me from squeezing the little fuck. “Of course. We’ll skate now. Sorry,” Jaclyn says, as her cheeks turn a shade of pink again .
I want to caress that flushed look on her cheeks while admiring the way her eyes gloss.
Jaclyn grabs my hand and she starts skating away while chuckling.
“I was seconds away from killing that little shit,” I say while skating in front of Jaclyn, getting ready to help her.
“I know, that's why I took your hand to leave. You can’t fight everyone in the world, Hayden.”
I ignore her statement and stand in front of her, holding her hands in mine to keep her steady. “Make sure not to fall for me, princess.” I say making Jaclyn roll her eyes and shake her head lightly.
