Chapter 11

I wake up the next morning still burning with desire after what happened last night. Lola is wrecking me, wrecking my head. I’ve never wanted a woman as much as I want her, and there’s never been a woman I wanted that I couldn’t have.

But she’s different. I don’t want to seduce her just for one night of pleasure. I want to give her my name, take care of her, protect her. I never cared about that before. I dated plenty of women, but it never went beyond that stage.

Until this woman showed up. I haven’t even touched her and I already want kids with her running around this house.

Maybe I’m this obsessed because she’s standoffish and keeps rejecting me. Who knows—maybe if I sleep with her, it’ll pass. But what if I want her even more?

I get up, take a shower to wake myself up, get dressed, and head downstairs for coffee. Soon she appears, glances at me, says good morning, sits down, and eats in silence.

Then Yná arrives.

“Good morning. Sorry, Lorenzo, Veronica is in the office and wants to talk to you.”

I can’t believe it. What the hell does this woman want? Haven’t I already told her I don’t want her?

I get up and head to the office under Lola’s judgmental gaze. I walk in and don’t bother hiding my irritation.

“Veronica, again? Don’t you ever get tired of this?”

“Tired of you? Never.” She stares at me, runs her tongue slowly across her lips, trying to look sexy—at least that’s what I assume she’s going for.

“Just tell me what you want.” I cringe watching her little performance.

“What do you mean?” I open the office door; she closes it. “Lorenzo, think about this. Don’t be like that.”

She moves closer, runs her hand over my abs. I open the door again and step into the hallway. As desperate as I am to get laid, I’ll end up fucking this woman right here if I’m not careful. I head to the living room where there’s no risk of that.

Veronica follows me, grabs me, pushes me against the wall, and kisses me. Her hand slides down to my cock, stroking it as she kisses my neck. I respond.

Suddenly, I hear something fall. I open my eyes and see Lola standing in front of us, her face full of disgust. She heads up the stairs. I stare at Veronica.

“Get out, Veronica.”

“What? Is it because of her? That little brat is making you soft.”

“Get out!” I grab her arm and drag her to the door, shoving her outside. “Do me a favor and disappear!”

I race up the stairs after Lola and open the bedroom door without knocking. She’s lying there hugging a pillow and jumps when she sees me.

“What do you want?” she asks, irritated.

I storm over to her, grab the back of her neck, and pull her to me.

“I can’t take it anymore, Lola.”

I pull her in and kiss her, devouring her lips with passion. I grab the collar of her dress and rip it open in one motion. She’s not wearing a bra. My hand finds her breast while I keep kissing her.

I trail kisses down her neck until I reach her breasts, taking one into my mouth. She moans.

“Lorenzo... no...”

“What do you mean, no? I want you. You want me.”

I kiss her neck as I speak, then trail down her flat stomach. I kneel before her, kissing her thighs, and when I press my lips to her pussy through her panties, she pushes me away.

“No, stop. I don’t want to keep going.”

I pull away from her, panting.

“Sorry, Lola, but fuck, you’re driving me crazy. I want you.”

“That’s not what I saw downstairs a minute ago.”

“That was a mistake. She grabbed me, and we’ve always had chemistry—I almost gave in.

You have no idea what I’ve been going through these past few months, wanting you and pretending I don’t.

Having to satisfy myself with prostitutes because the woman I want doesn’t want me and makes that perfectly clear. ”

I look at her body, exposed where I ripped her dress. I take a deep breath. She notices and covers herself.

“You’d better go downstairs. Don’t keep your fiancée waiting.”

“She’s not my fiancée anymore!” I shout.

“Doesn’t matter. You were making out with her, so go.”

I turn and leave, heading to my room.

I’m furious. I never want Veronica again. I want Lola. Why doesn’t this woman want me? I know she feels bad about how she ended up here, but I wasn’t the one who set that up.

And now I want her more than anything, and I’ll move heaven and earth to have her.
