Chapter 10 Public Display and Moments Chaos

Fu Jiye and I started showing off our “relationship” in a very high-profile way.

Even though it was all fake.

That same night, I posted a carefully chosen ambiguous couple photo on Moments.

Caption: My ^v^.

And I deliberately @-ed Gu Qunian.

A few minutes later I “accidentally” added: Oops, tagged the wrong person.

Even I felt disgusted by how cheesy the caption was.

But someone felt it worse.

Gu Qunian commented: Liao Xing what is this? You found a new one the day after breaking up with me?

Does Fu Jiye even know you were with me before? Once he finds out what you’re really like, he’ll dump you in less than two days. Don’t come crying then.

Me: Hehe, I’m happy.

He loves me to death. No need for your concern.

Good thing I hadn’t blocked Gu Qunian yet—I could still disgust him properly.

He never let me appear on his Moments before. Hardly anyone even knew we were together.

My group of troublemaking friends were all shocked.

My phone was blowing up with calls.

Wait, Liao Xing and Fu Jiye—you’re for real??

Fu Jiye got dragged into this by you. Impressive.

Blessings forever. If you two can’t have kids don’t you dare break up. I always thought Fu Jiye looked at you differently. Never expected he’d actually eat the meat.

…How was I supposed to explain to them that Fu Jiye and I were just acting?

But Fu Jiye, lying next to me, happily liked the post and laughed.

“No need to explain.”

“It’ll be real sooner or later anyway.”

I had already moved into Fu Jiye’s place.

After deciding on the fake dating during the day, I realized I had nowhere else to go.

I didn’t want to go back to that emotionless house.

I wandered around all day and eventually circled back to Fu Jiye’s place.

I squatted at his door for half an hour before finally knocking.

Fu Jiye was secretly fiddling with something. When he opened the door and saw me, he quickly hid it.

“Why are you here?”

I caught a glimpse.

Fu Jiye was carving a ring himself. I had made one for Gu Qunian before—took forever, but I never even got the chance to give it.

If it wasn’t because he liked someone, who would waste time on something so boring?

I teased him. “Yo, who’s the lucky one?”

Fu Jiye simply admitted it.

He opened his palm to show me the unfinished ring.

Engraved on it were the letters: lx.

Who?

“You.”

Fu Jiye looked at me with seriousness mixed with a trace of helplessness.

I was stunned. “Wait—no, aren’t we just acting? Do we really need to go this far?”

My voice got smaller and smaller. For some reason, I felt guilty.

Especially under Fu Jiye’s gaze—I recognized that look.

Was that how I used to look at Gu Qunian?

Fu Jiye’s expression shifted for a second, something flickering across his face.

“Who said I was acting?”

“Liao Xing, you really are a hopeless blockhead.”

He sighed deeply, full of helplessness. “Fine, I won’t argue with you.”

He’d already waited so many years. What was a little longer?

I quickly grabbed him. “No way—I’ve got nowhere else to stay.”

“Fu Jiye, you’re my boyfriend in name now. Take me in, please?”

“QAQ.”
