Erica

I’m ready

I stare at her words, then another text comes through.

Erica

That wasn’t meant to be cryptic. I thought about what you said, and you’re wrong. I do want you in my life. The good. The bad. The ugly. I’m not scared

Does she even know what she’s agreeing to?

Still, as I read the words, I’m so ready for her. So fucking ready. My sweet, beautiful Erica.

Pure as the driven snow, and I’m gonna corrupt her. I am gonna be the one to show her what a real man is like. Not like that cocksucking asshole she was married to.

I never want to see fear in her eyes, but I also want to be the man who she runs to. I can be that for her if she lets me. The trouble is, I’m so closed off, she has no real clue how I operate. How much I do feel.

Me

You have no idea what you just agreed to

I hope her pulse is racing. I hope those cheeks are flushed, because I meant everything I said.

I’m not a good guy. She might think I am, but what kind of sick bastard enjoys blood on their hands? I’m fucked up, and now I’m dragging her into this world right along with me.

Erica

I think I’ll take my chances

I check the security camera on my phone and see her sitting at her desk. I’m not a total creep, the cameras are pointing toward the reception area where the customers stand on the other side of the counter, but I can see her.

Me

You might live to regret that

I can’t help my smile. If I had my way with her? I’d be the luckiest man on earth, but this isn’t just about sex. Erica is mine.
