Chapter Four

B ecca stared at Tyler, not quite believing he’d asked her to stay and be his partner for the adult activities. Her heart pounded as the air vibrated with anticipation and silence. Breathing was difficult. What was he thinking?

Tyler stepped behind her, his strong hands curving around her shoulders even as he pressed his hard body against her back. His palms skimmed over her arms, leaving shivers of anticipation until his hands settled on her waist.

“I’m happy you’ve decided to stay and be my partner.” His breath brushed against her ear.

“Are you sure this is what you want? I don’t want you to feel like you’ve been forced.”

He shook his head. “I want you here. Fate saw fit to send you back into my life, and I’m going to take full advantage of it.” He turned her in his embrace. “For the record, I’ve never partnered with a guest here at the ranch. This is a one-time deal. Only with you.”

Something wild and wanton built in her. “That’s good to know.” She fought to keep her hands at her side rather than sinking them into his raven hair and pulling his lips down to hers. What was it about Tyler that made her lose all common sense?

“You know it’ll be good between us.” His lips brushed her cheek, sending a streak of fire through her veins. “It was always good between us.”

His lips skimmed the corner of hers. In that instant, she decided to hell with it. She would jump into the deep end. She reached up and curved her fingers around his neck.

When his mouth took hers, her lips parted and his tongue invaded. His kiss felt familiar, yet new. They were different people now. Older, more mature.

Her tongue played with his, and she tasted a hint of chocolate and something else.

A flavor she’d tasted before only with him. Now it was richer, deeper. His tongue stroked along the roof of her mouth as he tasted her.

She tightened her grip on him—she wanted him.

Their tongues tangled and dueled as the kiss lasted, lingered. Passion rose in her as her body came alive while wrapped around his.

Was it always like this before? She didn’t think it had ever been this hot, this passionate, this needy. This was more sensual, more…everything.

Becca squirmed in his arms as she tried to maneuver against him. He held her firm as the kiss continued. Until he lifted his head and she moaned in protest.

He gazed down at her. “Think about what we’ll be exploring—all things sensual and sexual together. I don’t want you doing this on impulse and regretting it later.” He kissed her one final time, hard and fast. Before she even had time to process it, he turned and walked out, gently closing the door behind him, leaving her swaying on her feet.

Didn’t she need time to think about everything? There was danger in the deep end. Her fingers touched her lips, the feel of his kiss still there.

Nope. The water’s just fine.
