Chapter 20

Saniyah

Iwoke up, face sore, as I looked around.

I was inside a kitchen that I didn’t recognize, tied to a chair with my hands behind my back.

The kitchen was old and outdated with pale yellow walls that roaches crawled on for fun.

There was also something on my mouth that prevented me from screaming, so looking around was all I could do.

I had no clue how I got here. One moment, I was inside my apartment, about to take my suitcase to my car.

The next moment, I was here, tied to this chair.

My heart pounded as I wondered what was going to happen to me.

I didn’t know why I was here, but I knew if I was tied to a chair, then it couldn’t have been a good thing.

There was no one in the kitchen with me, and I could only imagine what they were planning to do to me.

I prayed that Crue and Kadeem would find me before anything bad happened.

However, I didn’t know what the chances of that were.

I wanted to scream, but I had watched too many movies, so I knew what would happen if I did that.

I also had tape over my mouth, so even if I did scream, no one that could help would hear me.

So, I sat there silently as tears streamed down my face.

I didn’t know how long I had been sitting there, but it felt like hours.

Then, a woman and a man that I had never seen in my life walked in.

The man was tall and dark skinned, standing off to the side like he was her bodyguard.

The woman was about my height and complexion, and she walked over to me.

“I see you finally woke yo’ bitch ass up. I thought it would be harder than it was to kidnap you, but I see Crue and Kadeem fuckin’ wit’ a lil’ soft ass bitch.” The woman sneered. “I know by now they lookin’ for you, probably already at yo’ apartment and all.”

I looked her in her eyes, wishing that she would at least take the duct tape from around my mouth.

I didn’t know who she was calling a soft ass bitch, but if she untied me, I knew I would fuck her ass up in a one on one.

She circled around me, staring down at me as if I were some type of germ.

The nerve of this bitch to look at me like that when she’d brought me here.

Reaching her hand up, she pinched one side of the duct tape between her two fingers.

“If you scream, my homeboy back there gon’ fuck you up. You understand me?”

I nodded my head once, and she ripped the tape from my cheeks. She leaned over again and looked me in my eyes for a moment before speaking again.

“I know them niggas out lookin’ for you right now. And with their skills and resources, it’s not gon’ take long for them to find you either. But if you think it’s gon’ be easy for them once they get here, y’all all got me fucked up.”

“I don’t even know who you are or what you want, but you right. It ain’t gon’ be easy once they get here because after I’m untied, I’m gon’ fuck you up.”

She chuckled a bit then back hand slapped me across the face.

I shook my head, knowing that once my men did get here, all hell was going to break loose.

Just then, another man I didn’t know walked in, followed by a woman whose face I remembered.

It was the bitch, April, that Crue brought to the company party.

I locked eyes with her immediately, and she knew I recognized her.

“Damn, this they girl?” the man that walked in with April asked. “This lil bitch fine as hell. Shit, I might need to get me a taste of this.”

He stood about six feet with light skin and long hair that he wore in two braids.

The man had tattoos on his face, neck, and down his arms, and I frowned as he walked closer to me.

If he knew like I knew, he wouldn’t so much as lay a finger on me.

If he did, Crue and Kadeem would for sure cut them off.

April walked up to him, stopping him from moving any closer.

“We not here for that shit, bro. And if you want yo’ money, you will stick to the plan.”

The man nodded, but April continued moving closer to me. “I bet you thought you were real cute, huh? You think just because they fucked you that you something special? You gon’ see once they get here that you not.” She spoke as she paced back and forth.

“What is it that you want? Because I know you don’t have me tied up because you got kicked out of a fuckin’ party that happened months ago.”

She stopped pacing, bending down and getting so close to my face that I could smell the mint gum she was chewing. “You really gon’ act like you don’t know what this shit is about?”

“It’s not an act. I really don’t know.”

April shook her head and looked away for a second before laughing sinisterly.

“I accepted Crue, never judged him for what he was into sexually. I got down with him and his homeboy whenever he wanted it. And you know what he did? He put me out for your ass, like you was the fuckin’ queen or something when it should have been me.

I still tried to forgive him after that.

I found out I was pregnant and thought that our baby would be the one thing that would bring us together.

It was the one thing I had that no other bitch had, including you. ”

She stopped speaking for a moment and studied my eyes.

I knew she was trying to see if I was moved by her story, but I wasn’t.

Hell, for all I knew, this crazy bitch was probably lying about being pregnant with Crue’s baby, thinking it would hurt my feelings or something.

When my facial expression didn’t change, she continued.

“However, when I called him to tell him about our baby, that nigga wouldn’t even let me get the words out before he told me that he didn’t want to see me anymore.

I knew it was all because of yo’ ass. That night, I cried all night, and when I woke up the next morning, I had lost my baby.

That day, I vowed to get the two of you back.

That baby was who I would have loved the most on this earth, and I never got a chance to feel that love because Crue took that from me.

So now, I have to take away the one person he loves most on this earth, and that just so happens to be you. ”

I looked at her when she said that because here it was, the real reason I was here. Her end goal was to kill me, and I had to make sure that didn’t happen. I knew I would be safe once Kadeem and Crue arrived. I just had to stay alive until then.

“I think you need to take some time and think about this for a moment. Murder will get you life. Do you really want to spend the rest of your life in prison over a man that didn’t even want you?”

“Bitch, are you tryna be funny? I was trying to wait until Crue got here so that he could watch me kill you, but that shit will get you killed now,” April spat.

I went to speak again, but before I could, she slapped me. I looked up at her, anger written all over my face. I couldn’t wait until Crue and Kadeem got here because once I was untied, I was going to fuck this bitch up. The other woman walked over to us.

“My sister here had a plan. She wanted to have Crue all to herself. To do that, she would have to get Kadeem away from him too,” she informed.

My eyes widened at the mention of Kadeem’s name. “If you hurt him, I swear to God…”

“Relax, I would never hurt Kadeem. Shit, that man fucked my soul out my body. He got a real gift, and that dick can’t be wasted because of murder,” she replied.

“Yeah. you ain’t know my sista, Amika, fucked Kadeem, huh? How does that make you feel knowing that me and my sister both know how yo’ niggas be tearing up the pussy?”

I rolled my eyes, sick of both these bitches. The two men hadn’t said anything at all. And I knew they were both here to protect these two bitches. The fact that they would do this over two men that only wanted me was crazy.

“It don’t make me feel no way at all. I trust my men, and I know how they feel about me.

Hell, y’all know how they feel about me, and y’all jealous of that.

So jealous that you would kidnap me for attention.

Do y’all really think either of them is going to want y’all after this?

Come on now, y’all gotta be smarter than that. ”

“The kind of women that don’t got shit to lose and you will soon find that out,” April replied.

I looked from them to the two men that hadn’t said a word. “Y’all really want to die today? Because that’s what’s gon’ happen. I don’t know if they told y’all who my boyfriends are, but they don’t play about me. Y’all ain’t gon’ want to be a part of that shit once they get here,” I warned.

The two men just chuckled, clearly not taking what I said seriously.

That was on them because I knew better. Neither of them were going to be ready for the shit that would go down once my boyfriends arrived.

As scared as I was, I knew I couldn’t show it.

Once Kadeem and Crue got here, I would be good.

I just had to make sure I stayed alive until then.
