Chapter 9 Agnes
Upon returning to the house, I hear a familiar voice and look around.
My eyes stop on Agnes, standing in front of Zeta.
Speaking very frantically Agnes speaks to Zeta “Did she make it back? I tried to follow her out, but Zion had me bound in my room. I think he figured out that I was trying to help her get out.
I overheard the family talking about how they intended to kick her out and then track her down and kill her. I couldn’t let that happen Zeta, I tried to mind link with her and send notes, but nothing worked!”
“Agnes is that really you” I ask, tearing up.
“What are you doing here? I was so worried because I didn’t know what would happen to you once I was gone. I didn’t know anything about them, or what they were trying to do, I’m so sorry.”
Agnes runs over to me and holds me so tightly that I could barely breathe.
“Oh, Luna, thank the Goddess you’re okay!”
She pulled back and smiled at me. She held my hands and continued, “I followed you as soon as I could. Zion sent his wolves after you and I didn’t know if you would make it here. They have been planning this for a very long time, and once they thought you definitely had lost your wolf,
they cast you out with the intention of finding you and killing you. I am so sorry I couldn’t be there with you to protect you. When dinner was being served, I put a serum on their food that would make them nauseated. I just knew the moon goddess would be there to help you escape.
Did you find the cave with the red plants? They are supposed to smell terrible. The Moon Goddess told me you were supposed to find the cave, that when the prophesied one needed it, the cave would appear with the red plants.”
She spoke so fast that I could barely understand her.
“Yes, I found it, Agnes, but what prophecy is everyone talking about? I have learned about werewolves and lycan and all different peoples, I have read many history books and talked to Archer for many hours and nothing about a prophecy.”
They all look at me and Zeta says “you’re the Princess of the Galaxy you are to save our people,” Zeta continues, “Luna you were born to help our people, and Archer and Aylin will teach you everything they know tomorrow, but for tonight I just want you to rest, your body is weak from shifting.
I have drawn you a bath and Aylin will take care of you. Please go and rest,” Agnes nods in agreement with Zeta and she ushers me and Aylin up the stairs to our room.
My body was truly exhausted, and I collapsed into Aylin as we reached the room.
He scoops me up into his arms and places a soft kiss on my temple and carries me to the bathroom and slowly undresses me, with his eyes never leaving mine, and he slowly lowers me and himself into the water with my back against his chest.
I would normally protest about being this close to a naked man, but I feel like I am safe and at peace.
Aylin grabs the loofah and begins to lather it with soap, it smells like lily and sweet honey, I wiggle into him and enjoy this moment.
He rubs my body down while being careful on my joints and places the loofah on the side of the bathtub.
With his hands he begins to rub my joints and bare skin, and the sparks from his touch tingle all over my body.
A small moan escapes my lips as I look up into his eyes.
“Thank you, I don’t know if I could have done all this today without you here. My body is exhausted, and you are bathing me, I don’t know how I ended up this lucky.”
“Shhh, rest my love, there will be many more nights like this, if you allow it.” I close my eyes and just enjoy the feeling of his hands on me and the sound of his heart against my ear. I know already, I love him.
I am woken up by a small tapping on my door.
I look around only to realize I am in bed.
I must have fallen asleep in the bath because I don’t know how I got here.
I slowly get up and grab my silk robe and walk to the door and crack it open, “Hello, who is out there?”
I ask looking into the dark hallway. Someone grabs my arm and I yelp as I am pulled into the hallway, “It’s me Luna,” Agnes states, “I need to talk with you privately, please come with me.”
I follow her into a room on the lower level and sit on a chair by a lit fireplace.
“What’s going on Agnes? Is everything okay?”
“Everything is ok Luna but I need to speak with you about the prophecy. I know you said you don’t know anything about it, and I need to make sure you hear all of it.”
“Okay Agnes, I have trusted you with my well being for years, please tell me what I need to know.”
Agnes turns to face the fire, and she begins to glow slightly, and big white feathered angel wings form on her back.
They are so beautiful I can see each feather so clearly as she turns back to face me.
“Wow,” I say out loud, not realizing it.
“My Queen,” she says and bows in front of me, “My name is Agnes, as you know, but I am what they call a pure vessel sent to you from Hera herself. She has worried about your well-being since you were born. She has followed you with no ability to stop the abuse or treatment you were given.
She used much of her power to create me. I have much to tell you, so please just let me get through everything, and if you have any questions, I will do my best to answer them at the end okay?”
I nod and Agnes continues speaking. “Hera’s time as ruler will end when you transcend from this world.
You will take the place as the Moon Goddess and if you bear a female child she will take Hera’s place as Goddess of the Galaxy.
If you do not bear a female child, the first female in your blood line to ascend will take that place, until then it will remain unoccupied.
In this world you are to be known as Queen Celest, Queen of the Cosmos.
It will be up to you when you use this title.
There are already a couple of people who know the truth, we don’t know how they found out, so always watch your back as some people do not like that you are here.
Aylin is your true mate. He will never leave your side, and you will never have to worry about him being unfaithful, he only sees you as his partner, and since Sterling accepted Capella, your bond has already begun to seal, it will seal fully once you and Aylin mark each other.
Hera found out almost immediately that you were being poisoned.
She was supposed to have a direct mind link to you.
She would sing ‘The Goddess’ song to you as you were falling asleep.
Five days before you turned five, you started singing it aloud and Luna Marcella panicked.
Something changed in her. The woman who once cherished you was gone.
We found out that she had an alchemist make a poison that would block Hera out.
You, at the time, thought she abandoned you.
On your 5thbirthday you should have been able to shift and meet Cappella, when you shifted and Cappella couldn't reach out to you, Hera knew she had to keep an eye on you.
She sent people to your aid as much as she could.
She would link with the workers and tell them to care for you.
When the abuse started, she was torn in pieces.
She knew she physically couldn’t do anything, and it took her years of research on how to create me.
Once I was created, I was sent to you. On your 18thbirthday when you couldn’t connect with Aylin, she knew that not only had they blocked her and Capella, but Aylin as well.
That’s why he cried for you at the stroke of ten, you had been promised to him.
After that, Hera sent a liquid to me. It was to slowly remove the poison from your system, and on your 21st birthday you finally were able to connect with Capella, but just barely.
When you ran from the house and into the cave, those red plants, skunk cabbage, removed the remaining poison from your system.
Since you are a lycan, when you shifted for the first time the light purple you saw pulsing from your body let all the Alphas know a new lycan has claimed their place.
All the people now know that a lycan has manifested.
As you know, there are many types of people in this world, and you were born to bring together all people in one harmonious grouping.
This is no small feat, and it will be very taxing on you, and your loved ones.
Do not cast out those who are different, for they may be your biggest allies.
The last thing I was tasked to do is to recite the prophecy to you:
When the sky shines violet and the mountains bow,
And the sword is broken by a peaceful vow,
When the six kingdoms, once apart, Listen to the silence of the heart.
A child was lost, but then returned home,
Will rise from the ashes of a long empty throne.
She shall gather the nations, from the icy shore to the burning sand,
And weave the voices of every land.
The wall shall fall, not by fire, but by serenity,
When all knees bend beneath the weeping tree.
The six rivers shall flow and will not waiver,
Once harmony is restored by the predicted savior.

“I will always be able to mind link you?” I ask and Agnes nods, “then no, right now I am okay.”
“Until we meet again my Queen.” Agnes bows her head to me and slowly fades away.
My eyes fill with tears. My friend is gone, and I feel so alone.
I wrap my arms around myself as I look at the clock, it is two in the morning, so I make my way back upstairs to my room as the tears fall.
I lay down next to Aylin and hear Agnes within my head, “trust in yourself my Queen, you are not alone.”
Her words bring a smile back to my face as I wipe the tears from my cheeks. I must make everyone proud.
