Chapter 29 Witches

I have done some research on witches and warlocks over the last two months, and I haven’t found very much information over the last 100 years.

They seemed to be a peaceful race living off the land and helping other nations when needed with herbs or specialty potions.

But about 90 years ago they began to get sick, and nations started to fear for their own safety.

They were treated poorly and were not allowed to travel outside of Bramblestepp.

Three of the territories, Erebus, Tanwen, and Vallmond, got together to attack them, in fear that the disease would spread.

When the armies marched through the lands they killed every witch and warlock they could find.

They burnt down homes, shops, wagons, and even churches in fear of the disease spreading.

Once the armies left, there was not a single witch or warlock to be found.

The text writes that they are most likely extinct.

The land is not bare, humans and some other races choose to stay, and have said the disease hasn’t spread among others, but the majority of people did not believe them.

Ravenna’s name has been mentioned in text for approximately 240 years.

She holds the highest title The Supreme Lady Ravenna.

If the lore I have found is accurate she will be extremely powerful, when witches and warlocks die, they pass their power and knowledge to the supreme and if her race is dying the amount of power she could possess is terrifying.

Luckily for me, she seems to want help so I should be safe there.

That of course could be a trap, but something in me is telling me I can trust her.

Unfortunately, now I must convince Aylin to escort me to Endora, and he is not thrilled by the idea, we have hardly discussed it and I am almost ready to depart.
